Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a hybrid multicloud computing company, and Pure Storage (NYSE: PSTG), known for advanced data storage solutions, have announced a new partnership. The goal is to deliver a deeply integrated solution for managing virtual workloads on scalable, modern infrastructure.
This collaboration comes at a time of major change in the virtualization market. Many enterprises are reviewing their virtual infrastructure strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Gartner predicts that by 2028, 70% of large VMware customers will move 50% of their virtual workloads due to cost concerns.
The joint solution integrates Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure, powered by the Nutanix AHV hypervisor and Flow networking and security, with Pure Storage FlashArray over NVMe/TCP. This combination is designed for data-rich environments, including AI applications.
Customers will benefit from: A scalable, full-stack infrastructure combining Nutanix's virtual compute with Pure Storage's all-flash systems.
Built-in cyber resilience through micro-segmentation, encryption, and disaster recovery tools.
The solution gives IT teams a flexible and reliable alternative to existing platforms. It will be supported across major server hardware, including Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro.
Expedient is an early design partner. Anthony Jackman, Chief Innovation Officer, said the partnership will enhance service quality and client experience.
Tarkan Maner, Chief Commercial Officer at Nutanix, stated this will help customers modernize mission-critical applications. Maciej Kranz, GM at Pure Storage, added the solution is designed to meet the growing need for scalable, high-performance infrastructure.
Cisco is also expanding its FlashStack offering with Pure Storage to include Nutanix. According to Cisco's Jeremy Foster, the new FlashStack will offer improved visibility and integration through Cisco Intersight.
The solution is in development and expected to enter early access by summer 2025. General availability is planned for the end of 2025 through Nutanix and Pure Storage channel partners.

With this launch, Coursera's Generative AI (GenAI) catalog now includes over 925 courses designed to equip learners worldwide with essential AI skills. As automation accelerates and industries transform, the need for reskilling has never been more pressing. With 46% of on-the-job skills expected to change by 2030, compared to 39% globally, the region is seeing one of the world's most pronounced rates of skills transformation, underscoring the critical importance of equipping workers with new, in-demand capabilities. In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, GenAI enrollments on Coursera have surpassed 500,000, with one enrollment every two minutes in 2025. Learners in the UAE and Saudi Arabia have each surpassed 100,000 enrollments, averaging one new enrollment every nine minutes. Since ChatGPT's launch less than three years ago, learners in MENA have spent nearly half a million learning hours on Coursera developing GenAI skills, equivalent to over 53 years of learning. While overall demand is strong, 80% of GenAI course enrollments in the region are at the beginner level, highlighting the need to build more advanced skills. Demand spans generations, with millennials leading at 60% of enrollments, followed by Gen X (21%), Gen Z (18%), and Boomers (1%). However, gender disparities remain, with women making up only 25% of GenAI enrollments in MENA, signaling a clear need for targeted initiatives to foster more inclusive participation. Coursera has also been at the forefront of integrating AI to transform learning experiences and expand access. The company's GenAI-powered tools include Coursera Coach, a personal tutor powered by LLMs, helping learners with questions, feedback, and summaries, as well as career advice. Coursera data shows that learners using Coach are 9.5% more likely to pass quizzes on the first attempt and complete 11.6% more items per learning hour. Learners in MENA have actively engaged with Coursera Coach, with 175K learners exchanging nearly 240K messages. Furthermore, to break language barriers and boost inclusivity, Coursera has leveraged AI to translate more than 5,500 courses and 65 Professional Certificates into 26 languages, including Arabic and French. This has helped engage over 120,000 learners in MENA, driving more than 400,000 enrollments in translated content, with learners in Saudi Arabia ranking among the top three globally for engagement with these courses. Cisco extends its partnership with Real Madrid in bid to set new benchmarks in connected sports experiences

Cisco have announced the expansion of its global partnership with Europe's most decorated football club Real Madrid, as part of a combined effort to set new benchmarks in connected sports experiences and operational excellence. The multi-year extension of their long-standing global partnership, reaffirms Cisco's position as an Official Technology Partner of the club. This agreement will incorporate Cisco's advanced technology at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and significant enhancements to Real Madrid Sports City – the club's official training complex. The collaboration marks the next phase of a strategic collaboration between Cisco and Real Madrid that continues to set new benchmarks in connected sports experiences and operational excellence. In 2024, the two organizations completed a full-scale digital transformation of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, positioning it as one of the most technologically advanced sports venues in the world. Cisco delivered a unified Software Defined Access (SDA) network, the first of its kind in a European stadium, offering secure, segmented connectivity throughout the venue. Cisco's cloud-based IP Fabric for Media enabled real-time content delivery to more than 2,500 screens across the stadium and supported global broadcasting for millions of fans. Cisco's cybersecurity and observability platforms continue to ensure seamless operations, threat protection, and full visibility across Real Madrid's digital footprint. As part of this extended partnership, Cisco will now upgrade Real Madrid Sports City, the Club's official training headquarters, with the latest digital infrastructure. This includes the deployment of a new, AI-ready data center designed to handle both traditional and next-generation workloads while optimizing for energy efficiency and operational agility. The training facility will also be equipped with Cisco Wi-Fi 7, enabling ultra-fast, low-latency wireless connectivity for fans and employees. In addition, Cisco will deploy a high-speed 100 Gbps network infrastructure between Real Madrid Sports City and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. This interconnection, powered by Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), will allow for secure and seamless communication between the two locations, providing centralized control and real-time coordination across Real Madrid's operations. Today, the Real Madrid Sports City serves as a real-time digital command center, capable of remotely managing every connected device within the stadium. With enhanced automation, intelligence, and visibility enabled by Cisco technologies, the Club is further streamlining operations and enriching the experience for fans and athletes alike. Cisco and Real Madrid first joined forces in 2022 with a shared ambition to transform the Club's infrastructure into a model of innovation and digital performance. Since then, Cisco's role has grown to power every layer of Real Madrid's connected ecosystem, from stadium connectivity and media distribution to cybersecurity and smart facility management. By extending their partnership, Cisco and Real Madrid are shaping the future of sports through technology. The Santiago Bernabéu and Real Madrid Sports City now stand as global models of what's possible when innovation and tradition come together.
