Warren's Chalk on the Walk postponed

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Because of the rain expected Saturday, the Chalk on Walk at the Courthouse Square in Warren is now postponed.
It has been rescheduled for July 12.
The event is sponsored by the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County and has been a tradition for around 30 years.
There's also face painting, a scavenger hunt and lots of vendors.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Meteorologists are expecting a heat wave in Kansas City this weekend and into next week, just days after heavy rains and flooding hit the area. Anne Miller, the senior center director at the Don Bosco Center in Kansas City says they provide as much help as they can. 'We tell people [to use] fans, stay hydrated. A lot of people want to drink soda or coffee or iced tea, and it's like you've got to drink water,' she said. 'Checking on your neighbors is the main thing.' She recommended buying fans for relatives or elderly neighbors, as she sees many who won't use their air conditioning, or who can't afford to run it. 'This generation often doesn't run the AC like they should,' she said. 'But when we can reassure people there's help to pay that bill, turn it on and run it!'
