Historic Sports Car Impounded At Concorso D'Eleganza In Italy
Cernobbio, Italy: An American entrant has had his rare, classic Italian sports car impounded by Italian police after the world's premier historic car event, the Concorso d'Eleganza at the Hotel Villa d'Este.
Provincial Police confiscated the 1964 Iso Rivolta Grifo A3 Stradale, entered in the Concorso by Thomas Shannon, after allegedly stopping its American driver on the streets of Cernobbio without an International Driving Permit.
The Grifo, one of just 13 in the world and valued at more than $1 million, was also allegedly driven without proof of Italian insurance or a visible number plate.
The Concorso d'Eleganza is a celebration of historic car culture on the grounds of one of the world's most prestigious hotels on the shores of Lake Como, and involves parades at both the Hotel Villa d'Este and Villa Erba, which are separated by less than a mile along one narrow street.

Provincial police impounded the Shannon car pending payment of fines of €866 (US$981) and €408 ($463).
Shannon's Iso Rivolta Grifo A3 Stradale was the street-going version of the Grifo racing car, which won its class in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hour race. Built with Italian design and chassis engineering partnered with a 327 cubic inch Chevrolet Corvette V8, the Grifo could hit 60mph in five seconds and run on to a 190mph top speed.
It isn't the first time the Italian provincial police have targeted a Concorso d'Eleganza competitor either, with a 1967 Fiat Dino being grabbed during the 2024 edition of the event.

Report – Inter Milan Determined To Offload Albania EURO 2024 Star Despite Real Betis Rejection
Inter Milan will not change their stance on Kristjan Asllani despite the player's recent decision to reject a move to Real Betis. According to FCInter1908, Asllani has no future at San Siro, with the Nerazzurri determined to cash in on his exit. Kristjan Asllani turned down a transfer to Andalusia earlier this summer. Though Inter accepted Betis' offer, the 23-year-old decided against joining Manuel Pellegrini's side. Indeed, he pointed to family reasons as the basis for his decision. Inter Milan Eager to Sell Kristjan Asllani MILAN, ITALY – JANUARY 19: Kristjan Asllani of FC Internazionale in action during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and Empoli FC at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on January 19, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Asllani is keen to stay in Serie A and won't accept any foreign offers. However, his position diminishes Inter's chances of finding a club capable of matching their €18 million asking price. Indeed, only a handful of Italian sides can meet that figure, and none has interest in the Albanian. Meanwhile, Inter plan to use funds from Asllani's sale to finance the arrival of Ademola Lookman. Furthermore, they're still interested in Giovanni Leoni to strengthen Cristian Chivu's backline.

Report – Inter Milan Agree Terms With Ex Juventus Defender – Yet To Agree Deal With Genoa
Genoa defender Koni De Winter has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Serie A runners-up Inter Milan. According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad via FCInterNews, Inter and De Winter have reached a 'verbal agreement.' Despite accepting Inter's contract offer, Koni De Winter is still a Genoa player. Therefore, the Nerazzurri must convince the Griffins to sell their star defender, which won't be simple. Indeed, Patrick Vieira's men value the Belgian center-back at €25 million. (Photo by) De Winter has not been Inter's primary defensive target this summer. Although he had an outstanding season at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Inter had hoped to sign Giovanni Leoni. However, Parma's €40 million asking price and their unwillingness to budge on it seem to have deterred the Nerazzurri. As such, Cristian Chivu's men have turned to alternate targets. De Winter was one of the revelations in Serie A last term, cementing his place as Genoa's defensive cornerstone. With that in mind, the Griffins will unlikely lower their demands.

Report – Nottingham Forest Overtake Inter Milan In Race For Hellas Verona Wingback
Nottingham Forest have reportedly leapfrogged Inter Milan and AC Milan in the race for Hellas Verona star Jackson Tchatchoua. According to L'Arena via FCInterNews, the Tricky Trees are in pole position to sign the 23-year-old. Despite Inter's long-term interest in the Frenchman, their indecisiveness could return to haunt them. Indeed, they have put their pursuit of Tchatchoua on hold until they resolve the future of Denzel Dumfries. Nottingham Forest could take advantage of the situation to lure the wingback to the Premier League. Nottingham Forest Leapfrog Inter Milan in Race for Jackson Tchatchoua GENOA, ITALY – SEPTEMBER 1: Jackson Tchatchoua of Hellas Verona reacts during the Serie A match between Genoa CFC and Hellas Verona FC at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on September 1, 2024 in Genoa, Italy. (Photo by) Hellas Verona had slapped a €10 million price tag on Jackson Tchatchoua. However, the young defender's stock looks destined to rise after several clubs entered the picture. Furthermore, Nuno Espirito Santo's men have already surpassed this figure. Indeed, Forest's initial bid could do the trick, which would see Inter miss out on Tchatchoua's signature. Yet, the club considers Dumfries' predicament far more significant. Therefore, they're prioritizing keeping hold of the Dutch ace over any other incoming deal.
