P204M worth of shabu seized in raid in Bulacan
Law enforcers discovered roughly 30 kilos of illegal drugs inside the establishment.
They arrested three suspects identified only by their aliases: 'Jessie,' 44, from Cavite; 'Tina,' 36, from Quezon City; and 'Jess,' 21, also from Cavite.
Authorities are still searching for a fourth suspect, alias 'Tongo,' who is believed to be a Chinese national and a high-value target.
Investigators are looking into possible links between this group and a previous drug bust in Angeles City, where nearly P680 million worth of shabu were confiscated.
The arrested suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

8 Filipinos rescued, 20 Chinese nabbed in suspected scam hubs in Pampanga
Eight Filipinos were rescued while 20 Chinese nationals were arrested in alleged scam hubs during two separate operations conducted at Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City, Pampanga. Authorities first raided a compound of two villas where 17 Chinese nationals were nabbed, according to a report of GMA Integrated News' Bam Alegre on Unang Balita on Tuesday. Several equipment such as laptops and mobile phones were confiscated and are set to undergo digital forensic examination to gather more information on the operation of the suspects. Based on the chats seen on a computer, the suspects seemed to be running a love scam. Eight Filipinos were rescued in the operation. According to them, they are working inside the suspected scam hub for over eight hours in a day. 'May friend po na nagyayaya lang po. Maghahanap po ng client. 'Yun po, inaaral po namin kasi one week pa lang po kami rito,' one of the rescued Pinoys said. (There was a friend who was just inviting us. We are looking for a client. We are just studying it because we have only been here for a week.) 'Bago lang po talaga ako rito. Kakadating lang po namin kahapon. May inaantay po kaming tao. Hindi po namin alam basta ang sabi po mag-antay lang po kami dito,' another rescued Filipina said. (I am really new here. We just arrived yesterday. We are waiting for someone we don't know. They just said to wait here.) The 17 arrested Chinese nationals were not able to give a statement due to language barrier. Another residential property near the villas was also raided where three Chinese nationals were arrested due to alleged online fraud. The suspects were brought to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City. Authorities are checking if these two suspected scam operations were connected. Catherine Camilon friend backs out as witness over security concerns —PNP
Catherine Camilon, who represented Tuy, Batangas in the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant, was reported missing by her family in October 2023. File photo A friend of missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon has withdrawn as witness due to security concerns, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday. 'We received information na medyo apprehensive na yung kaibigan ng nawawala na si Ms. Camilon because natakot siya para sa security and safety niya,' PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said in an ambush interview. (We received information that the friend of the missing Ms. Camilon is a bit apprehensive and are afraid for their security and safety.) Fajardo said the PNP vows protection for Camilon's friend. 'Huwag siya magdalawang-isip dahil ang intensyon naman natin ay bigyan ng hustisya itong pagkawala ng kanyang kaibigan kasi critical yung kanyang magiging participation sa kaso na ito,' Fajardo said. (We hope the friend will now change their mind because our intention is to bring justice to Camilon, and their participation in this case is critical.) Charges against both suspects were initially dropped in May 2024 due to a lack of evidence, however both suspects now face the same charges with no recommended bail, filed by the Batangas Regional Trial Court. De Castro was alleged to be in a relationship with the former beauty queen before her reported disappearance, while Magpantay served as his driver-bodyguard. The ex-cop was reportedly supposed to meet Camilon on the day of her disappearance, which he denied. Camilon's car was last seen going through some towns in Batangas via CCTV footage on October 12, 2023. Witnesses later claimed that they saw a bloodied Camilon being transferred to a different vehicle on the same day, while Magpantay was in the area. 'Nakapag-bigay na po tayo ng P5 million sa Philippine Red Cross,' Torre said. 'Ang natitira pang mga pera, ang DSWD ay iko-convert na lang sa bigas. So bibili kami ng limang tonelada, that would be I think 1,000 sacks ng bigas dahil para mas mabilis daw ang accounting process,' he added. (We were able to give P5 million to the Philippine Red to the remaining money, the DSWD will convert this to rice. So we will buy give tons, that would be I think is equivalent to 1,000 sacks so the accounting procss could be faster.) Torre was declared as the winner of the match against acting Davao City mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte with the latter not showing up in the event. To recall, Torre led the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte — the acting mayor's father — in March, as Philippine authorities assisted Interpol in serving a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity in connection with his drug war.
