Muscat: In a decisive move against human trafficking, the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, in collaboration with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Bausher, has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals suspected of orchestrating a human trafficking ring involving women of the same nationality. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) revealed that the women were lured under false pretences and coerced into prostitution. During the operation conducted in the Wilayat of Bausher, authorities discovered six women of Bangladeshi, Thai, and Laotian nationalities at the suspects' residence. The women were reportedly found engaging in acts deemed contrary to public morals and decency. Law enforcement officials emphasised that legal procedures are underway for all parties involved.
