Nestle India declares 1:1 bonus share issue
By Aman Shukla Published on June 26, 2025, 10:09 IST
Nestlé India has announced a 1:1 bonus share issue, meaning shareholders will receive one additional equity share for every fully paid-up share they currently hold. This decision was approved during the company's board meeting held on June 26, 2025. The bonus issue will be made by capitalizing ₹96.41 crore from retained earnings as per the audited financials for FY2025.
Post-issue, Nestlé's paid-up share capital will double from ₹96.41 crore to ₹192.83 crore. The company will also increase its authorised share capital from ₹100 crore to ₹200 crore by amending the Memorandum of Association, subject to shareholder approval. An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) is scheduled on July 24, 2025, to finalize these changes.
The record date for determining shareholder eligibility for the bonus shares will be announced soon. The bonus shares are expected to be credited or dispatched within two months from the date of board approval, i.e., by or before August 25, 2025.
This move highlights Nestlé India's strong financial health and its commitment to rewarding shareholders. As of March 31, 2025, the company held over ₹4,000 crore in retained earnings, making the bonus issuance well-supported. Investors can expect improved liquidity in the stock post-issue, and the move is likely to generate positive sentiment in the market. Keep an eye out for the upcoming record date announcement.

Cochin Shipyard secures order for two 70 T Bollard Pull Tugs from Polestar Maritime
Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), one of India's premier shipbuilders, has recently informed exchanges that the company secured a fresh order from Polestar Maritime Limited for the construction of two powerful 70-ton Bollard Pull Tugs. These vessels are expected to be delivered in May 2027 and September 2027, respectively. This new order comes on top of three similar tugs already under construction by Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (Udupi-CSL), a wholly owned CSL subsidiary. Polestar Maritime, a well-known name in harbour tug services and marine assistance across ports, is expanding its fleet with high-performance, India-built vessels. The tugs will be built based on designs by Robert Allan Ltd., a global leader in tugboat design. Both CSL and Udupi-CSL are playing a key role in bringing these advanced tug designs to India under the Government of India's Approved Standard Tug Design and Specifications (ASTDS) framework—part of the broader 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat' initiative to boost local manufacturing. The vessels will be jointly constructed at CSL's Cochin yard under a work-share model with Udupi-CSL. Each tug will be powered by twin 1838 kW engines and 2.7-meter propellers supplied by Niigata IHI Power Systems, Japan. With four tugs already delivered and 20 more—18 regular and 2 green tugs—in the pipeline, CSL continues to make steady progress in strengthening India's shipbuilding capabilities. Titagarh Rail secures Rs 430.53 crore order for Pune Metro
By Aman Shukla Published on June 28, 2025, 15:22 IST Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, along with its associate company Titagarh Firema S.p.A, has received a Letter of Approval from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited for the supply of 12 additional trainsets for the Pune Metro Rail Project. The order is a variation under Clause A.6 of the original contract (P1/RS-01/2018), which covers the design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning of electrical multiple units (EMUs), and personnel training. This latest addition brings the total order value for this variation to approximately ₹430.53 crore. This development builds on the earlier contract awarded in August 2019 and reflects Maha-Metro's continued trust in the Titagarh group for delivering high-quality rolling stock solutions. The contract is to be fulfilled within a 30-month timeframe. The order is entirely domestic and aligns with the broader infrastructure push for metro rail networks across Indian cities. With this project, Titagarh Rail Systems further strengthens its position in the urban mobility segment. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
