YOU'RE KIDDING Lions star Bundee Aki reveals he missed arrival of his daughter during Australia tour after wife gave birth in a CAR
BUNDEE AKI has revealed he became a dad again during the Lions' series win in Australia — with his wife giving birth in a car.
The Irish centre held his hands up on his shocker in Sydney on Saturday in a 22-12 defeat, which saw the tourists miss the chance of a Wallaby whitewash.

After the Lions failed to clinch a series clean sweep, Aki then announced he had become a father for the fifth time two weeks ago.
The 35-year-old has yet to meet new daughter Aine, who was born in the build-up to the opening Test win in Brisbane.
Wife Kayla was in New Zealand with family when she got in touch to say she was ready to give birth before he helped the Lions to a 27-19 triumph.
Aki recalled: 'Credit to my wife. She's a powerful woman. I was in the hotel in Brisbane and I knew we were overdue.

'The missus calls me and she's like, 'My waters haven't broken but I'm going to the hospital, I'm feeling contractions'.
'Five minutes later, her waters broke. I was like, 'Are you almost there?' This is like 40 minutes away from the hospital, so I said, 'You'll be all right, Mum is there'.
'Ten minutes later, she video calls me and I was like, 'S**t, what's going on?' I saw a baby on the video call, so she had it in the car.
'They're both healthy. I knew it was good juju and we were going to have a good day.'

All of Aki's kids have first names starting with the letter A — Armani-Jane, Adrianna, Andronicus, Ailbhe and now, Aine.
But their old man admitted he put in nothing close to an A-star performance in Sydney as the Lions were mauled in a monsoon.
The game was suspended after half-time for 38 minutes due to lightning, with the Aussies 8-0 up through Dylan Pietsch's try and a penalty.
Finn Russell was spotted in the dressing room flicking through his phone and Aki had his feet up on a bean bag before play resumed.
But the Wallabies struck twice after the delay to get the victory.
Aki had his worst game in an international shirt but fronted up.
He said: 'I wasn't great. It was a poor game but you have those days and you have to live with it.
'We won the series and that's all we came for.
'Now, I want to enjoy my break. I haven't seen my family for eight weeks. I have a newborn child I haven't met yet.'
Australia got it over the line thanks to a turbo-charged display from lock Will Skelton, who was on the wind-up all match, and second-half tries from Max Jorgensen and Tate McDermott.
Jac Morgan and Will Stuart crossed to give the Lions some consolation — but Skelton had shown the Aussies the way.
Wallabies scrum-half Nic White said: 'For once, someone stood up to them.'

Nathan Carter meet and greet row erupts again as team hits back

The row over Nathan Carter's controversial Belfast meet and greet has reignited, as the country star's team hit back at claims he was ever officially booked for the event. The Wagon Wheel singer had headlined Feile an Phobail's sold-out Country Festival in Falls Park on Saturday night - joined by The Whistlin' Donkeys, Ultimate Eagles and Claudia Buckley - but confusion unfolded at The Balmoral Hotel, where a free "Nathan Carter Meet and Greet" had been promoted as part of its new Cargo Cult Smokehouse launch. Hundreds of fans turned up expecting to meet the singer, only for Nathan to post on Instagram the next day saying he had never been "officially booked" and apologising to disappointed guests. The 35-year-old said: "Regarding the meet and greet which was advertised for the Balmoral Hotel yesterday with myself, it's something that I was never booked for and apologies to people who did turn up. "When I got to Belfast I headed straight over and I met a few people at the hotel, but obviously missed an awful lot of people that had been there, so apologies about that. But unfortunately, it's something, as I say, that I was never officially booked for and it was advertised, so hope you all had a good time anyway at the Feile." But the hotel quickly hit back with a no-holds-barred Facebook post, claiming the event was booked and confirmed via Nathan's official promoter, Joe Gallagher Entertainment. Nathan Carter addressed the situation on Instagram (Image: Instagram/iamnathancarter) "Let's clear a few things up, shall we?" the hotel began. "As a proud sponsor of this year's Feile, we at The Balmoral Hotel were genuinely excited to host a FREE 'Nathan Carter: MEAT and Greet' event for the launch of our new Cargo Cult Smokehouse. This was booked and confirmed for us on Saturday 25th July via Joe Gallagher Entertainment, named as the official promoter for Nathan Carter's show. We were told that Nathan would be arriving on Saturday 2nd August any time between 4pm and 6pm." The Balmoral Hotel said they had only 250 free tickets - which "went within hours" - and claimed they reconfirmed the booking, even after being asked to "take the post down by Nathan's team", who were reportedly "getting requests from other businesses for meet and greets". They detailed extensive preparations, including shutting the car park, bringing in extra staff, providing free food, live music, a DJ, photographer, videographer and even a shuttle bus. The Balmoral alleged: "At 5pm, we got word from the promoters that Nathan would be arriving at 8pm, which overlapped with the start time of the Feile concert. We informed guests about this and let them decide what to do. Some stayed, some understandably couldn't and headed to the concert. We kept the energy up, and Nathan eventually arrived just before 10pm, posed for photos, and then headed to the show." The hotel then hit back at Nathan's social media claim: "Now here's the twist: Today, Nathan Carter posted a story on social media saying we never booked him. We're just going to say this: Maybe, just maybe, his teams should start talking to each other, because from where we're standing, this was very much booked and we planned every last detail around it. We're not in the business of drama, but we are in the business of hospitality and we're proud of the effort our team put in to make something special (and free) for our community." The Balmoral Hotel in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast city (Image: Google Maps) The hotel closed their statement with a jab: "To our guests: thank you. To our team: legends. To Nathan: next time, we're booking Daniel O'Donnell. With love, The Balmoral Hotel." As the row went viral online, Nathan's team has now responded with a fresh statement. A spokesperson for Nathan Carter said that he was "never booked for this". They told Belfast Live: "On Saturday night Nathan and his band performed at Feile Country Fest, which was an amazing gig. The promoter, who booked Nathan for the show, asked if Nathan would go to the venue and meet the venue proprietor and some of his personal guests to which we agreed, but at no stage was there a time or agreement to do an official meet and greet. "Once Nathan arrived in Belfast, he went straight to the venue and met some of the people that were there. We understand people's annoyance and are very sorry that this happened, but as I said, this was never booked as an official meet and greet." Promoter Joe Gallagher Entertainment also weighed in and took to the Balmoral Hotel's defence. A spokesperson said: "Joe Gallagher Entertainment can confirm that the Nathan Carter pre-concert meet and greet advertised by the Balmoral Hotel in Belfast was pre-arranged and agreed with Nathan's Tour Manager. "After being delayed on his arrival in Belfast, Nathan did ensure he made an appearance at the Balmoral Hotel event. The delay was in no part due to the Balmoral Hotel." Dan Sheehan handed hefty ban after illegal play vs Australia

Dan Sheehan has been given a four-match suspension following an illegal clear-out that went unpunished against Australia. The Lions hooker made the challenge on Tom Lynagh during Saturday's 22-12 loss to Joe Schmidt's side and it initially went unnoticed by Georgian referee Nika Amashukeli. However, the 26-year-old has now been retrospectively cited by World Rugby's independent review committee. Sheehan has received a four-match ban. Pic: INPHO/Dan Sheridan They deemed Sheehan's actions to be reckless, that contact was made with Lynagh's head and ruled the action amounted to a high degree of danger without mitigation. The sanction will be reduced to three games, subject to the Irish international successfully completing a coaching intervention course. Replays showed that Sheehan's elbow appeared to make contact with his opponent's head. Tom Lynagh was forced to go off for a HIA after the incident. Pic:Lynagh kicked a penalty moments after the incident but was then withdrawn for a head injury assessment (HIA) and did not return. Sheehan, who was captaining the Lions at the time after skipper Maro Itoje failed a HIA, has accepted the sanction. However, in his submissions, the player did not agree foul play occurred or that the offence warranted the citing. However, the 26-year-old has now been retrospectively cited by World Rugby's independent review committee. Pic: Brendan Moran/Sportsfile Sheehan will be unavailable for Leinster's pre-season clash with Cardiff on September 13 and the URC fixtures against South African sides the Stormers and the Sharks on September 26 and October 11 respectively. If he serves the full four-match ban, the forward will also sit out his side's URC clash with rivals Munster on October 18. This derby was recently confirmed to be played at Croke Park. With the RDS under redevelopment, Leinster are using the Aviva Stadium and Croker as their home grounds. Last year's derby was also held at GAA HQ, where over 80,000 spectators watched the home side earn a 26-12 victory. Leinster have said that they will return to the RDS for the start of the 2026/27 season. They will play most of their home games this season at the Aviva with some games designated for Croke Park. Before the public sale of tickets for the Munster clash, there will be a window for current Leinster Rugby season ticket holders to upgrade their tickets. This is the same process as would have applied to previous Munster games being hosted at the Aviva Stadium, rather than the RDS. Once Leinster's season ticket holders have had a window to access tickets, the remaining tickets will then go on sale to the public.
