But the latest beta version of the One UI 8 has left many speculating whether the company needs more time to refine its latest tech.
Whilst the new software is a more "stable-looking" build to the last BYFB update many have warned it's missing key features such as an adaptive lock screen.
ROLL-OUT DELAYS
Experts at Sammobile, who tested the upgrade, also told shoppers not "to expect too many changes apart from some missing features".
They believe the firm is now working on a fourth version for the Galaxy S25 series to fix current bugs.

This could delay the roll-out of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Samsung is prioritising "stability" and "functionality" over speed, they added.
SOFTWARE BENEFITS
Samsung said its latest updates will better incorporate AI to make features more "intuitive" for its users.
Its latest piece of software will feature intelligent multimodality too - providing users with assistance based off what they're looking at on-screen.

QUICK SHARE BOOST
Quick Share is the company's very own file sharing tool which not only works between phones nearby but also uploading them onto the web.
Until recently, you were limited to 5GB per day free but users have noticed that the allowance has been doubled to 10GB, allowing people to send much larger files than before.
This is especially useful for longer, high quality videos.
Quick Share for files locally via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct require both devices to be Galaxy.
But one of the great things about Quick Share is the recipient of files shared online via a link don't have to own a Galaxy phone to download them.
SLICK NEW PHONES
The tech giant has unveiled a trio of new foldable smartphones that are thinner and lighter than before.
This includes a new Galaxy Z Fold7 for those wanting to seamlessly switch to a big screen experience, the Galaxy Z Flip7 for a compact handset, as well as a cheaper Galaxy Z Filp7 FE.
On the Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung has managed to bring the weight down to 215g (less than an iPhone 16 Pro Max) and the thickness to 8.9mm folded.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the thinnest the range has seen yet at 6.5mm when folded - and the battery size has been increased despite the slimming down.

Iconic car brand suffers worst sales slump in over a DECADE amid ‘rough times' – and pledges to make cheaper models

The electric carmaker reported a whopping 12% drop in revenues over the second quarter of the year. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Tesla has suffered its worst sales slump in over a decade Credit: Getty 2 The electric carmaker is now pledging to make more affordable models Credit: Reuters Tesla's sales and profits have come in lower than analysts have expected. The company is now focusing on a new, cheaper model amid rising competition and political backlash with autonomous driving key to future revenue growth, according to CEO Elon Musk. Musk said the company "could have a rough few quarters" before then. "I'm not saying we will, but we could - you know, Q4, Q1, maybe Q2 but once you get to autonomy at scale in the second half of next, certainly by the end of next year, I think I'd be surprised if Tesla's economics are not very compelling," he said. The brand faces strong competition from cheaper electric vehicles, especially in China, as well as a backlash against Musk's former political association with President Donald Trump. As a result, Tesla said it was looking to ramp up production of a more affordable model in the second half of this year, slower than initially expected. The company gave no further details but it points toward investor concerns that the appeal of Tesla's range is limited when compared to that of competitors. The results were the first since Musk and Trump's relationship dramatically ended in June. Tesla's shares remain almost 18% down over the year to date. This can largely be explained by a 2025 sales slowdown, Tesla's unique exposure to Trump's trade war and the backlash against Musk's former role in the Trump administration which enacted massive cuts to federal spending. Inside Elon Musk's Tesla diner of the future staffed by ROBOTS with drive-in movie screens & burgers in Cybertruck boxes Customers around the globe have also been put off by Musk's interference in national elections as well as competition from cheaper alternatives to Tesla's EV range. And despite Musk's departure from Washington, the fallout with Trump has left Tesla exposed to potential retaliation from the White House. The company's profits are threatened through a potential loss in government subsidies - something threatened by the president. Tesla had revealed earlier this month that production and deliveries in the last quarter were below what was expected. Over 384,000 Teslas were delivered during that period which is a 13.5% fall on the same period last year. It also marks the second consecutive quarterly sales decline. Tesla said in their quarterly update: "Q2 2025 was a seminal point in Tesla's history: the beginning of our transition from leading the electric vehicle and renewable energy industries to also becoming a leader in AI, robotics and related services. "Despite a sustained uncertain macroeconomic environment resulting from shifting tariffs, unclear impacts from changes to fiscal policy and political sentiment, we continue to make high value investments while ensuring a strong balance sheet." The company has also said that it continued to expect volume production of its custom built robo-taxi - the Cybercab - and Semi Truck in 2026. Much of the carmaker's trillion dollar valuation depends on the success of its robo-taxi service with small trials starting in Texas last month. But some video footage has since suggested evident driving mistakes. Musk had previously suggested the service would soon reach the San Francisco Bay area, Nevada, Arizona and Florida depending on regulatory approval.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Huge Camera Upgrade & More

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is generating significant anticipation in the Android flagship market, with speculation surrounding a potential shift in its processor strategy. Reports suggest that Samsung may incorporate its in-house Exynos 2600 chip into the Galaxy S26 lineup, marking a bold move that could redefine its position in the competitive smartphone landscape. Simultaneously, Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 is expected to deliver notable advancements in performance, raising the stakes for flagship devices in 2026. This strategic decision could influence key factors such as performance benchmarks, pricing, and market competition. Watch this video on YouTube. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2: What It Brings to the Table Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 is poised to introduce substantial enhancements in both CPU and GPU performance, making it a strong contender for next-generation flagship devices. One of the most intriguing aspects of this chip is Qualcomm's rumored decision to maintain its pricing, despite rising production costs and global tariffs. This pricing stability could provide manufacturers like Samsung with an opportunity to allocate resources toward other critical innovations, such as: Advanced display technologies for improved visual experiences Enhanced battery systems for longer-lasting performance AI-powered camera features to elevate photography capabilities By keeping costs steady, Qualcomm enables brands to deliver innovative features without significantly increasing retail prices. This approach ensures flagship devices remain competitive and appealing to consumers, especially in a market where pricing plays a pivotal role in purchasing decisions. Samsung's Processor Strategy: Exynos vs. Snapdragon Samsung's processor strategy for the Galaxy S26 Ultra has become a focal point of industry speculation. Historically, Samsung has relied heavily on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors for its flagship models, particularly in regions like the United States, where performance expectations are high. However, the company has also ventured into using its proprietary Exynos chips, such as the Exynos 2500 featured in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. If Samsung decides to integrate the Exynos 2600 into the Galaxy S26 series, it could reduce its reliance on external suppliers and gain greater control over its supply chain. This shift, however, is not without risks. Past iterations of Exynos processors have faced criticism for performance disparities compared to their Snapdragon counterparts, influencing consumer preferences in key markets. To succeed, Samsung must demonstrate that the Exynos 2600 can match or exceed the performance, efficiency, and reliability of Qualcomm's latest offering. Rising Costs and Competitive Pressures in the Flagship Market The global smartphone industry is grappling with rising production costs and increasing tariffs, which are driving up the prices of flagship devices. For Samsung, the Galaxy Ultra series has traditionally been positioned as a premium product, but this strategy faces growing pressure from competitors like Xiaomi, Honor, and Oppo. These brands are actively exploring alternatives to Qualcomm chips, including developing their own silicon, to reduce costs and differentiate their offerings. If Qualcomm maintains its price freeze on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, manufacturers could redirect these savings toward innovations such as foldable displays or advanced AI-driven features. This could enable brands to offer high-end functionality without significantly increasing retail prices, intensifying competition in the flagship segment. For Samsung, balancing premium pricing with competitive features will be critical to maintaining its market leadership. The Industry's Shift Toward Proprietary Silicon The trend toward proprietary silicon is reshaping the competitive dynamics of the smartphone industry. Brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo are increasingly investing in in-house chip development to gain greater control over their hardware and achieve product differentiation. For Samsung, the potential adoption of the Exynos 2600 reflects a strategic push to reduce dependency on external suppliers and enhance its technological independence. However, this transition comes with significant challenges. To succeed, Samsung must ensure that its in-house chips meet or exceed the performance benchmarks set by Qualcomm and other competitors. This includes addressing concerns related to efficiency, thermal management, and compatibility with advanced features like AI processing and 5G connectivity. For other brands, the move toward custom silicon represents a broader industry shift. As more companies develop proprietary chips, the market could see greater diversity in performance and features, potentially reshaping consumer expectations and driving innovation across the board. What Lies Ahead for the Galaxy S26 Ultra? As the launch of the Galaxy S26 Ultra draws closer, Samsung's processor decision remains a critical point of interest. Qualcomm is expected to unveil more details about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 in the coming months, which could influence Samsung's final strategy. If Samsung opts to integrate the Exynos 2600, it will need to prove that its in-house chip can deliver performance and efficiency on par with Qualcomm's offering. For consumers, this decision could have a direct impact on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's performance, pricing, and feature set. Whether Samsung continues its partnership with Qualcomm or transitions to its proprietary Exynos chip, the outcome will likely shape the next generation of Android flagship devices. Staying informed about these developments will help you make a well-informed decision when considering the Galaxy S26 Ultra as your next smartphone. The humble deck chair has been given a 21st century makeover

The contraption originally dates back to the late 1800s, and it's now been given a modern twist which could become a staple along British shorelines. Solar panels and a battery pack are included in the high-tech prototype to keep electronics topped up. While a drinks holder has also been installed as well as a built-in fan, and bespoke horn to spook greedy seagulls. PayPal have created the modern seaside seat which Brits can visit from the 9th August in Brighton, following research which revealed one in five Brits shop on their phones or tablets – at the beach. A poll of 2,000 adults found clothes and fashion (37 per cent) are among the top purchases, with food and drink (34 per cent) and gifts for others (24 per cent) also on the cards. With nearly a fifth (19 per cent) spending between £51-75 when shopping online at the beach, with some spending up to £200. Phones overheating (43 per cent) and a lack of WiFi (36 per cent) are among the things holding consumers back from a seamless scrolling experience on the beach. While a lack of shade (31 per cent) and getting sand in the phone charger hole (23 per cent) are other inhibitors. Consumer behaviour and retail expert Dr. Amna Khan, speaking in partnership with the brand, said: 'Smartphones have transformed nearly every aspect of our lives, from how we navigate our cars to how we manage our health and shop for essentials. 'This digital shift has made shopping anytime, anywhere second nature – even on the beach, positioning it as the next frontier for a tech refresh. 'The once simple beach experience is getting a long-overdue upgrade. 'With tech-enhanced deckchairs featuring innovations like built-in glare-blocking screens, beachgoers can now seamlessly blend relaxation with connectivity, reflecting the evolving expectations of today's digital-first lifestyles.' The research also lifted the lid on all the factors people consider when picking a perfect beach spot, with shade (48 per cent) ranking as the top factor ahead of privacy (40 per cent) and proximity to the bar (36 per cent). When it comes to beach nostalgia, buckets, spades and sandcastles are among the items 70 per cent associate with childhood trips to the seaside, with arcades and slot machines also featuring (52 per cent). Striped deckchairs were cited by 41 per cent, with mini fridges containing snacks (29 per cent), solar panels for charging (21 per cent) and pop-out book holders (25 per cent) among the other creative add-ons people would like to see incorporated in the classic beach staple. Dave Jones, head of consumer from PayPal, which has introduced a three per cent cashback incentive to help people put money back their pockets, added: 'We can see from our research that more and more people are bringing their phones to the beach, and their shopping habits too. 'That's why we've reimagined the classic deckchair with a modern twist, making it easier to stay connected and even earn cashback while soaking up the sun.'
