Texas A&M sophomore transfer WR could be headed toward a breakout 2025 season
Texas A&M's spring football season is off to a solid start, but that's only based on a handful of practices over the last two weeks, so there's still plenty to pick through regarding any real progress before the Maroon & White spring game. However, this offseason's wide receiver additions from the transfer portal should have an immediate impact in 2025.
Former NC State wide receiver KC Concepcion has received the most attention due to his elite athleticism, speed, and versatility, but for those who were paying close attention to head coach Mike Elko's comments regarding former Mississippi State Mario Craver, who transferred to Texas A&M back in December, he may end up being the reliable deep threat the program has been searching for.
'If you ask any of our corners, he was the toughest cover that we had last year,'
Texas A&M defeated Mississippi State 34-24 last season, but Craver's five receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown didn't tell the whole story. Craver constantly found space against Texas A&M's secondary, which includes star senior CB Will Lee III. He's already gained respect from most corners who faced him in SEC play, including his 75-yard performance against Georgia.
Craver finished the 2024 season with 17 receptions, 368 yards, and three touchdowns, showing his explosive ability to gain chunk yards, something Elko and OC Collin Klein desperately need.

'It's a duty I do not take lightly, and I'm committed to re-establishing trust and ensuring the union is serving its members best. I look forward to working with the entire NFLPA team to protect players' health and safety, secure their financial well-being, and further strengthen their voice to shape their futures.' 'This process will continue to be player led, as the strength of our union has and will always lie with our membership,' Reeves-Maybin said.
