Young climber on Malaga holiday plummeted to death 'after split second mistake'
An inquest heard Zachary Cook was climbing a route with his dad Jonathan in Malaga when he fell 20 metres, suffering fatal injuries.
A young climber plummeted to his death in a"terrible accident" while on holiday with his father in Spain after a detaching a safety clip at the wrong time.

The 22-year-old from Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire, was on an adventure trip when the tragedy struck on December 11 last year, Avon Coroner's Court heard.
Coroner Dr Peter Harrowing spoke at a post-mortem examination, conducted in Spain, and gave Mr Cook's cause of death as poly (severe) trauma resulting from the fall.
The court was told on Monday a group of medics, who were in the vicinity, rushed to help but he died later at the scene.
Coroner's officer Alexis Camp told the hearing climbers are "required to have two safety clips on their person and on the safety wires on the rock face".
He added: "Prior to the start of the climb, they were informed to only unclip one of the safety clips from the safety wire at any one time and never to unclip both safety clips at the same time.
"Around halfway through the route, Zachary unclipped both of his safety clips from the safety wire, which resulted in him falling around 20 metres below."

The court heard a group of medics were in the vicinity and went to Mr Cook's aid but he died later at the scene. Area coroner Dr Harrowing said: 'The family have no concerns surrounding any of the treatment or care received by Zachary from any of the medical professionals involved.
"They believe this was a terrible accident and nothing more could have been done.'
He recorded a conclusion of misadventure, adding: 'He fell around 20 metres while climbing causing him to suffer traumatic injuries. The conclusion as to the death based on the evidence will be recorded as misadventure.
'The family (are) not in attendance today but I nonetheless send my most sincerest condolences to the family and all the friends of Zachary at this time.'

Man who raped and sexually assaulted victims for eight years as a teenager is jailed
The attacks by Riley Kirk took place over three years, beginning when he was just 14 years old. A young man who carried out a series of serious sexual offences across Falkirk and West Lothian as a teenager has been sentenced to eight years behind bars. Riley Kirk was handed the prison term at the High Court in Edinburgh on Monday June 30, and also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register. The 20-year-old was found guilty at the same court last month, on May 26, after a trial heard harrowing details of attacks spanning more than three years from October 2019 to January 2023. His crimes included rape and sexual assault, beginning when he was just 14 years old, with multiple victims involved. Speaking after sentencing, Detective Constable Marc Lunn said: 'Riley Kirk is now facing the consequences of his abhorrent actions. 'This result was only possible thanks to the bravery of the victims who came forward. I commend them for the immense strength they have shown throughout the investigation and court proceedings. 'Our thoughts remain with them, and I hope this sentencing brings them some sense of justice and peace. 'I want to reassure our communities that Police Scotland is fully committed to investigating all reports of sexual crime. As we got to the top of the stairs, Ryan went one way and I turned right. James ' bedroom is there and there is a door to the ensuite. "I looked at James' bed which was all ruffled, I initially thought Panda [Mr Williams' dog] had ragged the quilt on the bed. 'And then I walked past James' bed and into the bathroom and saw James in the bath, he just looked like he was sleeping." 'I ran over to them and put my hand under their head to stop their face going into the water. I screamed for Ryan, telling them they needed to call for an ambulance and to get some help. I kept hold of James because I didn't want their face in the water, I kept talking to them. Ryan came in the room and he was saying 'mum, I can't come in.' 'So I gently lay James back to take the call from the 999, she asked me some questions and asked me to try and get the patient out of the bath. I tried to take the weight of his body, I told Ryan to go and get my partner Mike. I said he needed to phone Bobby and that we needed help. Their family confirmed that they had died from a cardiac arrest caused by the effects of taking Ketamine. DS Thomas Philpotts, who was the senior investigating officer in the case of James' death, describes entering the bathroom. He suspected he had been dead for some time. The officer wanted to establish if there were any suspicious circumstances or any third party involvement. He began a search of the house. He says while searching James' bedroom there was a small bag that appeared to have previously contained drugs. In the bathroom, James' phone was on the floor next to the bath and there was a bin with several more packets that were suspected to have had drugs in. He suspects they were used before James had got into the bath, over a period of time. He says: 'Everything I was told led me to believe that James had been in the bath since Friday night.' He says his hypothesis was that it was likely that James had died from a medical episode, possibly brought on by drug use, or had possibly drowned in the bath. He says he was satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances or third party involvement.
