KKR Bets On Sustainable Protein Demand With ProTen Investment In Australia

KKR & Co. Inc. (NYSE:KKR) has struck a deal on Wednesday to acquire ProTen Pty Limited, a major player in Australia's poultry farming infrastructure, from Aware Super, a leading Australian pension fund. The agreement marks a strategic move by KKR to further expand its investments in the agricultural sector. Founded in 2001, ProTen operates hundreds of poultry sheds across more than 60 farms, playing a crucial role in the country's poultry production and food supply will channel funds from its Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II Fund to execute the transaction, which is pending regulatory approval and expected to close later in the year. The acquisition is aimed at fueling the next phase of ProTen's expansion and maintaining its leadership in the protein supply space. Andrew Jennings, who heads KKR's infrastructure operations in Australia and New Zealand, said the deal offers exposure to a 'high-quality' agriculture platform backed by steady, long-term contracts. Jennings added that ProTen's strong positioning, coupled with the country's increasing appetite for sustainable and secure protein sources, makes it an attractive asset for growth. Aware Super, which has managed ProTen since 2018, helped broaden the business's national footprint and quadruple its property base. Jiren Zhou, infrastructure portfolio manager at Aware Super, said the fund's active management approach delivered strong outcomes for its 1.2 million members while reinforcing its global infrastructure portfolio, now valued above 20 billion Australian dollars ($13.14 billion). James Wentworth, ProTen's CEO, credited Aware Super's commitment and strategic investments for enabling significant customer growth. He emphasized that the company's operational structure and mission would remain unchanged under KKR's ownership as they continue delivering affordable, sustainable poultry to Australian consumers. The deal adds to KKR's growing footprint in the region, following investments in Zenith Energy, Queensland Airports Limited, Spark Infrastructure, and Ritchies Transport. Since 2019, the firm's Asia Pacific infrastructure division has scaled to manage around $13 billion in assets. According to Benzinga Pro, KKR stock has gained over 25% in the past year. Wallbox Announces Reverse Stock Split

BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wallbox (NYSE: WBX) today announced that it is expected to implement a 20-for-1 reverse stock split of all classes of the Company's ordinary shares. The reverse stock split is intended to bring the Company into compliance with the minimum bid price requirement set by the New York Stock Exchange ('NYSE'). Wallbox shareholders approved at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on June 30, 2025 ('AGM') a reverse stock split ratio within a range of 1-for-10 to 1-for-40 and authorized the Board of Directors to determine and execute the final ratio. The Company's Board of Directors subsequently approved the final reverse split ratio of 20-for-1 on the same date. Wallbox's ordinary class A shares ('Class A Shares') are expected to begin trading on a reverse split-adjusted basis at market open on July 3, 2025 under the existing trading symbol 'WBX' with a new CUSIP number N94209 124 ('Effective Date'). On the Effective Date, every 20 shares of Wallbox's issued and outstanding ordinary shares will be automatically combined into one ordinary share. The reverse stock split will affect all shareholders uniformly and will not affect any shareholder's percentage ownership interest in the Company (except to the extent that the reverse stock split would result in any of the shareholders owning a fractional interest). Shares held in registered form in the Company's shareholder register, or in the register maintained by the Company's U.S. transfer agent, Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company, will be consolidated and converted on a split-adjusted basis. Any fractional shares resulting from the reverse split will be treated in accordance with the rights specified in the deed of amendment of the Company's articles of association to be executed prior to the Effective Date or such other instrument governing the right to the ordinary share. To the extent possible, fractional Class A Shares will be aggregated into whole shares and sold. Registered shareholders will receive a cash payment from Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company in lieu of any fractional share resulting from this process. For shareholders holding shares in 'street name' through a bank, broker, or nominee, positions will be rounded down as a result of the share consolidation. Shareholders entitled to fractional Class A Shares will receive a cash payment from their respective bank, broker, or nominee in accordance with their procedures. In addition to approving the reverse stock split, shareholders at the AGM, also approved the 2024 annual accounts, reappointed and appointed members of the Board of Directors, and authorized the Board to issue shares and to limit or exclude pre-emptive rights, among other proposals. Additional information regarding the reverse stock split and other matters voted on at the AGM can be found in the Forms 6-K and exhibits thereto filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on May 30, 2025 and July 2, 2025, and on Wallbox's Investor Relations website at About Wallbox Wallbox is a global technology company, dedicated to changing the way the world uses energy. Why Nike Stock Jumped 17% in June

Nike is still reporting declines, but sales and EPS were better than expected in the fourth quarter. The company is making progress on its goals, and that should lead to better performance. 10 stocks we like better than Nike › Nike (NYSE: NKE) stock jumped 17% in June, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. The market was happy with its latest quarterly update, and investors see a path toward a rebound. Nike has had an awful few years, as its problems have evolved from supply chain issues to inflation to losing an edge in sports. It's cycled through several CEOs as it tries to work itself back up, and it's landed on veteran Elliott Hill, who may finally be making the decisions the company needs to turn around. Last month, the company reported earnings for the fiscal 2025 fourth quarter, which ended May 31, and although they weren't great, they were better than expected, which usually is enough to generate a thumbs-up from the market. They also demonstrated the kind of progress investors want to see to boost confidence that it can achieve the rebound. Sales declined 10% year over year in the quarter to $11.1 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) fell from $0.99 last year to $0.14 this year. However, the market was looking for $10.7 billion in revenue and $0.13 in EPS. For a frame of reference, competitor Lululemon Athletica's sales increased 7% year over year in a similar time frame to $2.4 billion and produced $2.60 in EPS. Hill gave updates about how the company is meeting its previously stated goals of putting the athlete back into the center of its focus in five distinct areas: culture, product, marketing, marketplace, and ground game. The company had lazily relied on its name and franchises to drive sales, as it lost ground to smaller competitors who were out to get the the athlete by innovating and offering excellent products that helped players play better. Management is diving into sport by creating improved product lines and faster innovation, with a bigger lineup of new launches, and playing into moments through its stellar storytelling capabilities. There were many key wins throughout another largely dismal quarter. For example, Nike's running sales increased by the mid-single digits in the quarter, and the Vomero 18 has already become a $100 million business in only 90 days on the market. The market is excited about Nike because it's already the largest activewear and athletic shoe company in the world by far, with $47 billion in trailing-12-month sales. Investors expect it to bounce back and offer years of growth. It also pays a growing dividend, making it attractive for long-term passive investors. It may take some time, but Nike could be a real turnaround story.
