Marking its 81st year, the Rotary Club of Nagpur is a 240-plus member organisation known for its social initiatives. Its signature projects include surgical camps at Bhamragarh and Melghat, the annual Walkathon, watershed management, youth career guidance, and international exchange programmes. The club has also championed mental health awareness, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
The new leadership aims to build on this legacy by focusing on literacy and health, with a special emphasis on empowering youth. This direction aligns with the Rotary International theme for the year: 'Unite for Good'.

Rotaract, Interact Clubs Ideal Platforms For Youth Empowerment: Pankaj Rughwani
1 2 3 Nagpur: "Rotaract and Interact Clubs are among the best platforms for youth empowerment and community service," said noted businessman and chief guest Pankaj Rughwani, secretary of Sindhi Hindi Vidya Samiti, during the installation ceremony held at DRB Sindhu Mahavidyalaya on Tuesday. The Rotary Club of Nagpur North organised the vibrant event, installing the Rotaract Club of Dada Ramchand Bhakru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya and Interact Clubs of Sindhi Hindi Girls High School, KTR High School, and Mohanlal Rughwani Sindhi Hindi Boys High School. In his keynote address, Rughwani highlighted the importance of cultivating leadership, teamwork, and a positive mindset among students. He lauded the initiative as a vital step towards shaping responsible and confident future citizens. Rotary dignitaries present included past president and special guest Pooja Khatri, president Vinay Dara, vice-president Pankaj Upadhyay, treasurer Sumit Choithani, and youth director Nitin Jeswani. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a welcome song by students. The Rotary Four-Way Test was explained by Interact chair Baljeet Kaur Anand and vocational director Khushboo Murarka. Khatri stressed the power of unity with her message "We over Me", while Dara reinforced Rotary's guiding principle Service Above Self". The oath ceremony was conducted by Jeswani, and an engaging seed-ball activity was led by environment director Rajesh Chawla. Also present were principals, vice-principals, and coordinators of the respective institutions, along with Diya Jeswani, Kajal Khatri, Kanchan Gedam, and Poonam Vazirani. The event concluded with group photographs and enthusiastic discussions on future service projects.

1 2 Nagpur: The Rotary Club of Nagpur marked the beginning of a new chapter as it installed its leadership team for the Rotary year 2025–26 with Architect Parag Date taking over as president and Harrshit Jaiin as secretary. Outgoing President Neerja Shukul officially handed over the reins, earning praise for her inspiring leadership over the past year. District Governor Dnyaneshwar Shewale, who graced the event as guest of honour, applauded the club's achievements. The 2025–26 board includes president-elect Gogi Bhasin, vice-president Mahendra Kamath, treasurer Rajeev Chand, joint secretary Abhishek Goyal, sergeant-at-arms Meeta Shaw, and directors Suruchi Agarwal, Nivedita Singh, Harneet Singh Suri, Dr Rahul Chaudhary, Prathamesh Deshpande, and Amit Parekh. On the occasion, the club honoured Dr Vilas Dangre and Dr Prashant Jagtap with 'Vocational Service Awards'. The event concluded with camaraderie, fellowship, and a shared vision to uphold the Rotary motto 'Service Above Self'.

RCNV installs new board for 2025-26; Dr Rashmi Shahu takes charge as president
1 2 3 Nagpur: The Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision (RCNV) ushered in its new leadership for the Rotary year 2025-26 with a grand installation ceremony in the esteemed presence of district governor Dnyaneshwar Shewale and assistant governor Yogesh Taori. Dr Rashmi Shahu was installed as the new president, while CA Abhay Upadhye assumed charge as secretary. The new board of directors includes PE Jugal Kishore Agarwal, vice-president Dr Akshay Daga, treasurer Yogesh Paliwal, joint secretary Prashant Yadav, sergeant-at-arms Dr Sangeeta Tajpuriya, and directors Sapna Vastani, Amit Jeswani, Bhagyashree Saoji, Garima Gupta, Meghana Nene, Dr Girish Chhabrani and Vicky Mulchandani, along with IPP Jaishree Chhabrani. The event commenced with IPP Jaishree Chhabrani presenting the report of 2024-25 term, which was followed by the presentation of club awards for the year. A highlight of the evening was the conferring of the Outstanding Citizen Award on Padma Shri Dr Vilas Dangre. DG Shewale congratulated all awardees and emphasised how Rotary continues to unite people through impactful humanitarian service. Prominent dignitaries present included PDGs Satish Sule, Vishwas Sahasrabhojanee, Tejsing Bhosle, Rajinder Khurana, Dr Mokadam, Shabbir Shakir, DGN Kishore Rathi, and several past presidents and office-bearers from RCNV and other Rotary Clubs.
