Police investigation continues
They said it followed the discovery of improvised explosive devices in the north-east and south-west of the Republic of Ireland.The man was detained under the Offences Against the State Act and is in Garda custody.The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has said they are investigating a potential link between the Tassagh Road search and a security alert in Ballyards Road in Milford in Armagh on 1 July.The police have said that anyone with information should get in touch with them.

Underwater teams join search for missing woman last seen at petrol station
Underwater search teams have joined the hunt for a missing woman after she was last seen at a petrol station in the early hours of Saturday morning. Rachel Booth, 38, from Northwich, Cheshire, was reported missing after being last seen by her family in the Barnton area. She was seen one final further time at around 3.50am, five miles away, at the Sandiway garage on the A556 road. Police believe she may have travelled to the Oakmere area of Delamere, where police officers, underwater search teams and Cheshire Search and Rescue are currently conducting enquiries. A water park in Delamere, less than two miles away from the petrol station, said it was closed on Sunday due to a police investigation in the surrounding area. Ms Booth is described as 5ft 9ins, of a slim build, with blonde hair and is believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top. Superintendent Paul Hughes said: "We are currently following a number of inquiries to trace Rachel and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare. "Investigators are following all lines of inquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us," he added. "The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.

Gardaí investigate suspected hate crime assault in Tallaght
Gardaí have opened an investigation into an alleged assault in Tallaght in Dublin. The incident happened on Parkhill Road at around 6pm on Saturday evening. Advertisement A man in his 40s was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment. Organiser of Dublin South West Together, Laura O'Reilly, said locals are in shock over what is believed to have been a hate crime.
