The Western Canada Lottery Corporation says the ticket won the gold ball jackpot for the June 28 draw. The winning selection was 34713801-01, a white ball (exact match only). The winner or winners have one year to claim their prize.

United Way Winnipeg introduces new CEO
A new face is set to lead United Way Winnipeg. Matthew Cutler will take over as the 60-year-old Winnipeg charity's new president and CEO, a news release said Wednesday. He starts the job on Aug. 11. Cutler, a public service executive with over two decades of experience, previously worked for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and as an assistant deputy minister with the provincial government's communications and engagement department. He's currently board chair at Rainbow Resource Centre, board director for Clan Mothers Healing Village and a volunteer and board trustee with United Way, the release says.
