"As a once-in-a-generation storm begins to gather far out at sea... teacher Jackie Ellis discovers the body of her 8-year-old pupil, Cefin, seemingly drowned.
"The discovery sends shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior – the disappearance of Jackie's niece, Nessa, which cost her career.
"Cefin's death summons Jackie's former partner, Detective Eric Bull, back to Morfa Halen to lead the investigation into a community he failed once before.
"Convinced the cases are linked, Jackie and Bull must reconcile and race to uncover long-buried secrets inside Morfa, before the storm breaks and all the evidence is gone for good."

In a statement, Elwen Rowlands, CEO of Little Door, shared: "We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented cast bringing these characters to life.
"Claire's compelling scripts tell a thrilling story of a community deeply connected with its environment, raw with emotion, and beautifully mirrored by the stunning backdrop of North Wales where the story unfolds."
The highly anticipated Under Salt Marsh isn't the only project on the docket for Yellowstone star Reilly, as she gears up for a role in the forthcoming film Last Meals.
Kelly Reilly plays Beth Dutton in Yellowstone
This upcoming prison drama will showcase Reilly alongside Boyd Holbrook and Samuel L Jackson, who assumes the character of the "disgraced former White House chef" Walter.
In his new role, Walter is tasked with preparing the final meals for death row inmates, and he develops a connection with Reed, an inmate on hunger strike.
Walter suspects that Reed might be innocent and, aided by Reilly's character Hannah, attempts to challenge the prison head, instilling hope among the prisoners.
This follows the conclusion of Yellowstone in December 2024, which wrapped up after five seasons and 53 episodes.
Under Salt Marsh will be available on Sky and streaming service NOW in the U.K. and Ireland. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution will handle international sales of the series.
Yellowstone is available to stream now on Paramount Plus and Netflix.

Celebrity SAS star Rebecca Loos' affair with David Beckham explained
Rebecca Loos is set to appear on Celebrity SAS but her rise to fame came on the back of her alleged affair with David Beckham so here we take a look at the affair scandal in detail Back in 2004, Rebecca Loos was the most sought after person in the UK after she revealed that she'd had an alleged affair with none other than David Beckham. At the time, both David and Victoria Beckham denied her allegations but the former personal assistant stood her ground and exposed their alleged four-month affair to the press, for the entire world to read. Now, the 48 year old mum of two is set to appear on Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins and yet again her alleged affair with the former England footballer has become a subject of discussion once again. Rebecca will join Louie Spence, X Factor star Lucy Spraggan and Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa for the military inspired reality TV show. It comes after Cat Deeley found moving back to the UK 'really hard' before split from Patrick Kielty. At the time, Rebecca told Sky that David was an "amazing lover" and "they couldn't keep their hands off each other." She explained: "We were just locked into each other all night, conversation-wise, other people noticed… we just connected. I think the chemistry between David and me was so strong… people were aware and they weren't very happy." She added: "He knows how to please. He's not afraid of a woman's body. He seems to know what he's doing" Rebecca faced backlash for selling her story but in 2021 the reality TV star reflected on why she made that decision that caused a huge media storm. She explained to Closer: "I just felt the need to be truthful. Whether you've done something that's right or wrong, it was kind of just eating me up. I was living a lie and keeping secrets." She continued: "Max Clifford [former celebrity agent] said to me he'd negotiate an exclusive with the newspaper and that if I was willing to tell absolutely all the juicy details, then I would get up to five or six hundred thousand pounds. Ridiculous money." According to reports she told the Daily Mail: "People said I was mad. Who was this guy? I hardly knew him, what on earth was I doing? But look at everything I have now, I am so happy. I have no regrets, I am so happy with my life now." She reportedly said: "But many people are so afraid of change. Change is good, change is how you learn, people should just f**king go for it. I like the way my life has taken me. If I hadn't been famous, I would not have been invited on the TV show where I met my husband, Sven and had my lovely boys. I would not have had the life I have now." Rebecca met her husband Sven Christjar Skaiaa, who is a medic, during filming 71 Degrees North. The couple married in 2012 and share two children together. The family now live in Norway and she works as a youga teacher while not on TV. In a statement released at the time, David said: "During the past few months, I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts." Victoria had remained silent in 2004 but three years later she admitted: "I'm not going to lie. It was a really tough time. No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road. But the fact is we've come out of everything we've been through stronger and happier."

Welsh Labour MP Chris Bryant says he was sexually abused by theatre boss as a teenager
Welsh Labour MP Chris Bryant says he was sexually abused by theatre boss as a teenager The Labour minister said he was left feeling like a '16-year-old whore' by Michael Croft, the head of the prestigious National Youth Theatre Labour Minister Chris Bryant has recounted how he was sexually abused by the disgraced founder of the National Youth Theatre (Image: Visionhaus/Getty Images) Sir Chris Bryant has revealed he was sexually abused as a teenager by the founder of the National Youth Theatre, Michael Croft. The Labour minister became emotional during an interview, describing how he felt like a "16-year-old whore" due to the actions of Mr Croft, who was at the helm of the esteemed drama group. In a conversation with the Sunday Times, Sir Chris Bryant recounted that Mr Croft, who died in 1986, would invite him for dinner every evening when he was part of the company in London during the summer of 1978, at the age of 16. One night, said Sir Chris, he returned from the toilet at Mr Croft's residence to find his host, who was four decades older than him, naked apart from a silk robe. The minster said the abuse left him feeling like a "16-year-old whore" (Image: PA) The MP for Rhondda and Ogmore disclosed that Mr Croft then propositioned him for sex, and he felt he had no choice but to comply, reports the Mirror. Ahead of the launch of his book 'A Life And A Half: The Unexpected Making Of A Politician', Sir Chris admitted: "I don't like telling this very much because I've not told it very often. "It was always the same Italian in King's Cross. He would eat and drink, I would eat, then he would theoretically give me a lift home, except I always ended up at his house." For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here Sir Chris stated that Mr Croft never made another advance towards him, and they remained friends. As an ordained minister, he even agreed to officiate Mr Croft's funeral. However, he expressed anger over the abuse of power and confessed to internalising the shame. "He behaved absolutely appallingly, it's despicable," Sir Chris said. "Michael, in my case, managed to spot somebody who was gay at a time when nearly all homosexuality was illegal - certainly very frowned on - so presumed that people would keep a secret." He revealed that at least one colleague from his National Youth Theatre days was also abused by Mr Croft. The 63-year-old also disclosed he had been sexually assaulted by five male MPs during his time in Westminster, though he has not identified or reported them. "There was no system for doing so and I was frightened it would make me look bad," he explained. He noted that homophobia in Parliament had decreased during his 24 years as an MP. A statement on the National Youth Theatre website said: "We are grateful to Chris Bryant for disclosing to our team the historical abuse he suffered in the company in the 1970s. We are very sorry that this happened to him and to others who have previously shared with us their accounts of historic abuse by the same perpetrator. "As we set out in a public statement on the case in 2017, we stand in solidarity with all victims of abuse and encourage anyone who has experienced abuse, no matter how long ago, to speak to someone and access support. "In this case the perpetrator has been deceased since 1986, but all reports made to us will be dealt with in accordance with our robust and formalised safeguarding policy and practice. "While Chris writes he doesn't feel damaged by what happened, we recognise that being subjected to an abuse of power can have lasting consequences for many, in different ways. "Anyone getting in touch will be listened to and treated with care and respect by trained professionals, in line with our certified trauma-informed practice. "We are grateful to Chris for his support of our organisation today, and acknowledgement of how different a charity we are in 2025 to the one he encountered in the 1970s, with thorough safeguarding practices and policies in place." ‘Breathtaking' desert island movie with rare Rotten Tomatoes score is streaming for free
One of the best animated movies in years with top scores from critics has just been added to BBC iPlayer BBC iPlayer has just added a critically acclaimed animated film that is guaranteed to knock your socks off. Based on one of the most popular children's books ever written, this beloved tale of adventure and friendship has been brought to life in stunning hand-drawn animation that harkens back to classic Disney films. Following its broadcast on BBC One this afternoon (Sunday, 3rd August), this heart-racing journey of discovery will be available to stream completely free of charge for a limited time. Viewers can be assured of the film's quality as it scored an impressive 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Even better, the film's runtime clocks in at a breezy hour and 16 minutes, making it the ideal watch for a lazy afternoon. Kensuke's Kingdom, based on the acclaimed 1999 novel by Michael Morpurgo, follows the thrilling voyage of a young boy (voiced by Aaron MacGregor) at sea who eventually finds himself stranded on a desert island. Thankfully, he soon discovers he's not alone. The boy, along with his dog Stella Artois, strikes up an unlikely friendship with a Japanese man named Kensuke (Ken Watanabe) and the orangutans who have made the island their home, who help him survive. Although not able to speak much English, Kensuke slowly reveals his own tragic life story of fleeing Japan during the terrors of the Second World War. This poignant tale is perfect for families with slightly older children keen to get sucked into an epic journey of adventure, history and survival. An audience review on Rotten Tomatoes described Kensuke's Kingdom as 'a breathtakingly beautiful film that's gentle on the senses as its delicately delivered themes.' A five-star Google review agreed, writing: 'Magical and emotionally powerful film that deserves to become a family classic. 'Avoiding spoilers here is hard, but there is one drop of ink in the film that took my breath away and had my throat in knots. It's beautiful, powerful, emotional, yet comfortingly familiar. 'A film to cosy up on the sofa under a blanket with your favourite young family and rewatch every year to remember the important themes of anti-war and respect for nature that run through it. Beautiful film.' A third concurred, adding: 'Awesome movie with beautiful visuals and meaningful storytelling.' Praise continued over on Letterboxd, where one fan raved: 'Beautiful and full of heart! 'Simple, familiar concept but so well executed. It's Cast Away mixed with Avatar and shades of Planet of the Apes. 'Very good dosage between feel good and tragedy, had a smile on my face most of the time but I also had tears in my eyes twice.' Viewers were also impressed by the film's voice cast, which also includes Oppenheimer Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy and Paddington star Sally Hawkins. 'Went to the theatre to hear Cillian's voice and to have a fun time. Left sobbing uncontrollably,' one fan admitted. 'This film's message is so beautiful and moving, knowing that Cillian wanted to be part of this project makes me love him even more and I didn't even know that could be possible.' Kensuke's Kingdom is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
