Summer sale at GAP has cut price kids clothes including Disney and Barbie for holidays

North Wales Live9 hours ago

With the summer holidays fast approaching, it's no surprise that parents are on the hunt for ways to spruce up their children's wardrobes without spending a fortune. Whether it's attire for park playdates, family outings, or simply staying cool during a heatwave, there are plenty of reasons to stock up on warm-weather essentials.
Clothing and accessories brand GAP is renowned for its stylish garments, particularly GapKids and babyGap, which offer high-quality items for youngsters. GapKid includes staples such as logo hoodies, comfy joggers and shorts, with many pieces crafted from premium cotton.
Now, parents are in luck, as the brand is hosting an end-of-season sale from July 2 to July 16. Shoppers can also bag a 10% discount on first orders and enjoy free delivery on weekends for orders £60 or more this payday weekend, from 27 June to 30 June.
Within the GapKids section, they offer a variety of outfits, including this pink Lilo and Stitch cropped hoodie (£30), suitable for children aged 4 to 13 years old. The hoodie, also available in blue, is machine washable and could be the perfect choice for kids, given the current popularity of the franchise and film, according to the Mirror.
For Barbie enthusiasts, parents can also snap up this Barbie sweatshirt and skort set (£40). This set, catering to children aged six months to five years old, features a Barbie graphic alongside the GAP logo at the front.
If shoppers are on the hunt for a summer or holiday outfit for their little ones, they might consider the smocked ruffle midi dress (£35). Available in sizes for children aged 4 to 13 years old, this soft cotton poplin midi dress features a square neckline and adjustable spaghetti straps, offering a relaxed fit.
Boys aren't left out either, with a variety of jackets to choose from, including the black, water-resistant puffer jacket (£28). Suitable for ages 4 to 13, this quilted, water-resistant jacket features fully lined long sleeves, a hood, a zip front, and slant pockets.
Additionally, there's a blue denim shirt for £25 and pairs of shorts available in a spectrum of colours, from green to black, for £18.
If this range isn't for everyone, Next has a range of options for kids, including this Little Mermaid cotton t-shirt and cycle shorts set, which ranges between £14 and £18, depending on the size. The set is made from 100% cotton, is machine washable and is said to be the ultimate laidback combo. H&M also has cargo shorts for £14.99, available for children aged 1 to 10 years old.
While individual reviews for items on GAP's website are lacking, customers have shared their impressions and experiences with the brand on Trustpilot. One reviewer expressed: "GAP clothing line is my choice every day... They are comfortable and look cool to wear! I have always chosen for my kids too since they were a baby till they are grown up."
Another customer remarked: " High quality and reasonable prices." "Fast shipping and good exchange policy," commented yet another patron.
However, opinions on the brand varied, as one shopper noted: "Good quality and good prices. Just not great." Similarly, another mentioned: "It is hit and miss."
An additional review stated: "I couldn't fault the service I've had over the last couple of weeks. I placed three separate orders on different days, and each one came the next day."

Oasis' Liam reacts as fan with MS emotional over Wembley tickets surprise

Liam Gallagher, who like his brother Noel Gallagher, is preparing to embark on the Oasis Live '25 Tour, has reacted to footage of a fan being surprised with Wembley Stadium tickets An Oasis fan who fronted a band that played their songs before being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis has been surprised with tickets for one of their reunion gigs. The footage has even prompted reaction from Liam Gallagher. Liam, 52, and his brother Noel Gallagher, 58, will launch the Oasis Live '25 Tour in Cardiff later this week. Oasis will then perform at other venues including Wembley Stadium in London, playing five night there in the coming weeks, before returning for two additional dates in September. ‌ Among those preparing to visit the stadium is Gianfranco, 40, who was surprised with tickets by pals for his birthday. It's been shared that the fan, said to have once fronted a band that played Oasis songs, will be coming over from Italy. ‌ Footage posted on social media shows the moment that Gianfranco received the news. He's seen reacting as he's presented with a printed confirmation of the tickets, with him appearing to be in disbelief whilst surrounded by pals. Oasis fan group Cast No Shadow shared the video and an accompanying message on Instagram yesterday. They wrote: "A follower of mine sent in this story which I am going to exclusively share. It's one of the best things you'll ever see guys. His dream is to make sure Liam Gallagher sees this so let's get tagging @liamgallagher in the comments!!!! A Dream 40 Years in the Making." In an apparent message from Gianfranco's pals, the post continued: "For our best mate Gianfranco, this isn't just a gig - it's the soundtrack of his life. Living with Multiple Sclerosis, he's faced more than his share of struggles. But through every high and low, Oasis has always been there. "For his 40th birthday, we surprised him with tickets to Wembley, July 26th. Coming all the way from Italy, this is a dream come true. Years ago, before his illness, Gianfranco fronted a band with friends - playing Oasis songs. Those same friends will now stand with him, singing them together, one more time. ‌ "He says, 'This will be the greatest joy of my life.' If this somehow reaches Liam, all we ask is - just know Gianfranco is there that night. A hello from the stage would mean the world. Thank you, Oasis. Thank you, Liam. This means more than you'll ever know." Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! I don't know what will happen, if Liam will ever watch this video, but you, you have been a hurricane of love, I would like to hug you all. "In 2016 I discovered I had multiple sclerosis which ruined all my plans, it took everything it wanted, except my dreams. Life has taken a lot from me, but it has given me brothers and sisters who were not born to my parents: my wonderful friends, a gift. All of us, Oasis fans, are a family. With love, Gianfranco." The video has since been shared on X by fan page @OasisMania, which prompted reaction from Liam this morning. He wrote in a rely: "Yes GIANFRANCO you saucepot your attitude is BIBLICAL stay cool LIVEFOREVER Rkid LG x."

BBC Strictly's Anton Du Beke says Bruce Forsyth 'would've been furious' at call

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke has revealed that the late Bruce Forsyth would have been incensed by a decision made after his passing. In an earlier episode of the My Time Capsule podcast, Anton fondly recalled a memorable show at the London Palladium, a venue he considers the "home of Brucie". Looking back on the sad loss of his idol Bruce in August 2017 at the age of 89, Anton mentioned that his ashes were laid to rest beneath the Palladium's stage, accompanied by a commemorative blue plaque. Describing the exact location of Brucie's final resting place, Anton shared: "So, if you're looking out into the auditorium from the stage, right directly below there, there's obviously a wall there holding the whole place up. But in that wall, they've buried Brucie's ashes, and there's a plaque underneath, 'Here are the ashes...'". Anton continued, noting that comedy legend Des O'Connor has since joined Brucie, with his own tribute nearby. He believes Des holds the record for the most performances at the Palladium, and hinted that Julian Clary is aiming to surpass this feat, saying: "To the left now of Brucie is the wonderful Des O'Connor, who's done more shows, I think, at the Palladium than anybody else. "I think Julian Clary is hoping to take that crown soon, but I think Des O'Connor has done more shows at the Palladium than anybody else. Now, I know that Brucie would have been furious about this because Brucie was never a double act. He was always a single act, so I know Brucie would have been furious about this," reports the Mirror. Upon his passing, his manager Ian Wilson stated he died "peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Wilnelia and all his children". The entertainment industry was awash with tributes for Brucie following his death, with co-host Tess Daly admitting she was "heartbroken" over the loss of the man who became the UK's highest-paid TV star. A memorial plaque commemorates Sir Bruce's career, noting that he first presented Sunday Night At The London Palladium back in 1958 and performed his last show in 2015. It acknowledges his status as "without question the UK's greatest entertainer". The plaque also reads: "He rests in peace within the sound of music, laughter and dancing... exactly where he would want to be." Sir Bruce retired from hosting Strictly in 2014, after a decade that saw him present from the inaugural episode of the show in 2004. He was known for fronting popular programmes such as Play Your Cards Right and The Price Is Right. Brucie, who passed the Strictly baton to Claudia Winkleman, said at the time: "After 10 wonderful years and 11 series, I believe it is now the right time to step down from the rigours of presenting the Strictly live shows."

Danny Jones shares first photo of wife Georgia since he kissed Maura Higgins

Danny Jones proved his marriage to Georgia Horsley is getting back on track as he shared the first photo of his wife since THAT Maura Higgins kiss Danny Jones has shared the first photo of his wife Georgia Horsley since his kiss with his I'm A Celeb co-star Maura Higgins came to light. The couple are working on rebuilding their nine-year marriage after McFly star Danny, 39, shares a drunken snog with 34-year-old Maura during a wild night out partying at this year's Brit Awards in February. ‌ Since then, he and Georgia, 38, have avoided sharing snaps of each other on social media - and Georgia briefly moved out of their family home to get some space, though she has since returned. ‌ But it looks like things are finally looking up for the couple after Georgia was seen in a pic Danny shared to Instagram on Sunday. The summer snap showed their seven-year-old son Cooper running around the garden next to a paddling pool. Georgia's arm was seen in the photo showing she was there too and they are clearly getting in some much needed family time. Danny shared the photo - taken by a pal - to his Instagram stories, which was captioned: 'A weekend well spent.' Putting on a united front, Georgia shared the same snap to her own Instagram stories. It comes two weeks after the former Miss England broke her own social media silence where Danny was concerned by paying tribute to her husband on Father's Day. Sharing a snap with her own dad first, Georgia shared a sweet snap of son Cooper hugging dad Danny. She cutely captioned the post: "For the Dads. Happy Father's Day." That marked the first time Danny has appeared on Georgia's grid since the Maura kiss scandal, which saw him issue a grovelling public apology to his wife. ‌ In a statement, Danny said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately." He added to fans: "I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." After the Maura kiss came to light, Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home. And insiders claimed that the entire ordeal has been "embarrassing" for the mother-of-one, who tied the knot with Danny in 2014. Back in March, a source claimed that while "they may still be married, they are not together and she is still working out what she wants to do." But it's thought Georgia is now back living in the family home in West London and has returned to host her podcast, Mum's The Word! with pal Kelsey Parker. A source told the Mirror in April: "Georgia is returning to face the music after weeks away. She took some time for herself after the incident blew up, but now she's ready to talk." While Danny has always wanted to sort things out. "He has made it clear he will do anything to make it work. He loves Georgia and wants their marriage to get back on track," a source told The Sun.
