Lauren Sánchez ‘Clashed' With Jeff Bezos' Family in Resurfaced Interview a Year Before Their Wedding
The Amazon founder and the aviation entrepreneur are having their grand wedding in Venice, Italy. The two keep their relationship under wraps, but Sánchez shed light on how he's a big influence on her life. 'He's so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day; he's the most loving human I know,' she told the Wall Street Journal.

Lauren Sánchez is a third-generation Mexican-American. She is really proud of her Latina heritage and openly celebrates her culture alongside friends like Eva Longoria.
In a joint interview for The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and former journalist gushed over their tight bond over their heritage. 'You and I constantly have these conversations that inspire each other. Instead of sending each other memes, we send [reports] about the Latin community not being represented in TV and movies and the media.'
'I know, we send each other white papers. I'll send you a study, and you'll text back, 'I already read it,'' Lauren replied.
Though she embraces her heritage at every turn, one thing she regrets is not speaking Spanish. My grandmother, Elsie, and mother spoke Spanish all the time, she said in an interview with Nina Garcia in Elle. 'My mom [didn't teach me because she] told me she didn't want me to have an accent, because she thought that would hurt me. Now I am taking Spanish lessons, and my kids are taking lessons, because it's something I crave.'
She also revealed how she bonds with Jeff and his father, Mike, who is Cuban-American. 'We bond and we clash in the best possible way. We live in Miami now, and his dad, Mike, comes over. They make churros on Sunday for the kids. I'm sitting there, and they only want to put sugar on them. I'm like, 'No, no, no, no. You need to put sugar. You need to put cinnamon. Where's the chocolate sauce? I'll put Tajín on it.' It's very interesting how they're both just like, 'simple, Lauren. Simple.' It's little things like that.'
She continued talking about celebrating holidays that are close to her heart, 'We celebrate Día de los Muertos together every Thanksgiving. A tradition we have is that everyone makes a dish [in memory of] of someone who has passed away. Then, that night, we all sit around the table, and everyone talks about the dish that they brought and what that person represented to them. It's one of my favorite things to do every year.'

A court in France has sentenced three former Ubisoft executives for sexual and psychological harassment. Serge Hascoet, Tommy Francois, and Guillaume Patrux each received fines and suspended prison sentences for their actions that were discovered as a part of a years-long investigation into sexual harassment and bullying at the game publisher. According to The Guardian, Hascoet, Ubisoft's former chief creative officer, allegedly commented that a female employee's mood could be improved if someone were to have sex with her in order to, 'show how to calm her.' Francois, Ubisoft's former editorial vice president, was additionally convicted of attempted sexual assault as well as sexual harassment related to an alleged incident where he tried to forcefully kiss a female employee at a party while colleagues held her down. Patrux, a former game director, was alleged to have thrown furniture in open-plan office space, throwing other objects at employees, and drawing swastikas on a colleague's notebook. Investigations into Ubisoft began in 2020 as a part of the #metoo movement in video games. Current and former employees took to social media in June 2020 to describe harmful incidents and attitudes at the Far Cry and Assassin's Creed developer that spanned decades. An internal survey conducted at that time reported that out of 14,000 employees surveyed, 25 percent had seen or experienced workplace misconduct, while 20 percent said they did not feel safe or respected at the company. In the aftermath, several Ubisoft executives, including Hascoet, resigned while others, including Francois, were fired. In 2023, five former employees, including Hascoet and Francois, were arrested by French police following an investigation into the company. According to French newspaper Le Monde, Francois blamed company culture at Ubisoft for his behavior, saying he was a part of a culture that was 'everywhere, in every department' and that he didn't think it was 'abnormal.' The Verge has reached out to Ubisoft for comment.

Thirty years ago, changed his life forever, releasing the self-titled album for his new, post-Nirvana band: Foo Fighters. Although the album arrived in the UK a week earlier, Grohl declared his independence from his grunge past with an album that incorporated elements of melodic hardcore, indie, and alternative rock. While the Foo Fighters were Grohl's first musical outing following Nirvana's dissolution in the wake of Kurt Cobain's death in 1994, it wasn't his first band. Grohl got his start in Washington D.C.'s hardcore punk scene of the mid-'80s as part of the band Scream, and Foo Fighters celebrated that history by covering one of the biggest bands of the area: Minor Threat. On June 30, Foo Fighters released a cover of Minor Threat's 'I Don't Wanna Hear It' in support of their 30th anniversary. The song, posted on YouTube with the #FF30 hashtag, was actually put together across the decades. 'Instrumentals recorded in 1995. Vocals recorded in 2025,' reads the video description. The video itself is a collage of photos taken over the band's lifetime. We see many pics of bassist Nate Mendel, guitarist (and punk icon) Pat Smear, and the late drummer Taylor Hawkins. There are also glimpses of all the other players who have joined the Foos throughout their tenure. It's very touching, despite being soundtracked by one of hardcore punk's most abrasive bursts of teenage rebellion. Ultimately, 'I Don't Want To Hear It' is less of a stroll down memory lane and more of an 80-second rush through a band's incredible history. In addition, the band is celebrating its anniversary with a Substack detailing the behind-the-scenes of each of their 11 albums. The Foo Fighters only have a handful of international dates scheduled for 2025. They'll play Carnaval Ancol in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Oct. 2 and the Singapore Grand Prix on Oct. 4. They'll finish the month with a pair of shows in Japan before playing Corona Capital in Mexico City in November. The band's latest album is 2023's But Here We Are. Earlier in 2025, the Foo Fighters underwent an unexpected lineup change when they fired drummer Josh Freese without explanation. Amazon is shutting down its Freevee app in August
Amazon plans to shut down its standalone Freevee app in August, according to an in-app notice to users. The free, ad-supported streaming service is directing viewers to continue watching Freevee content on Prime Video. 'Prime Video is the new exclusive home for Freevee Tv show, movies, and Live TV,' the notice to readers states. 'The Freevee app will be accessible until August 2025. Continue watching your favorite Free Originals and our library of hit movies, shows, and live TV on Prime Video for free, no subscription needed. Download Prime Video to get started and sign-in with your Amazon account.' The move doesn't come as a surprise, as Amazon confirmed back in November 2024 that it was sunsetting the service and integrating its content into Prime Video. Amazon said in a statement at the time that it had 'decided to phase out Freevee branding. There will be no change to the content available for Prime members, and a vast offering of free streaming content will still be accessible for non-Prime members, including select Originals from Amazon MGM Studios, a variety of licensed movies and series, and a broad library of FAST Channels — all available on Prime Video.'
