Saudi Arabia-based Tabby, one of the Middle East's first fintech unicorns, has hired banks to help prepare for an eventual initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter.
The buy-now, pay-later firm is working with HSBC Holdings Plc, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley on the deal, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information isn't public. The plans at an early stage, and no final decisions have been made on the timing or the size of the offer, they said.

Dave Portnoy calls out ‘morons' who think WNBA players shouldn't get more money
Dave Portnoy is fed up with those who believe WNBA players don't deserve a higher payday. In the wake of players wearing warmup shirts that said 'Pay Us What You Owe Us' at Saturday's All-Star Game, the Barstool Sports founder and owner made his stance clear with a lengthy post and subsequent video on X on Sunday. 'I don't know how anybody in the world with a brain, and maybe my brain is just bigger than most, can rationally say women don't deserve more money at this point,' Portnoy said in the video. Portnoy went on to reference how Caitlin Clark's rookie salary, $76,000, is less than what Barstool personalities Nicky Smokes and Ben Mintz make per year, calling the disparity 'insane.' As of the 2024 season, the WNBA's average salary was $147,745, according to DirecTV. 'The players make virtually nothing while the entire league explodes,' Portnoy added. 'Of course they deserve more money.' Portnoy, who is one of Caitlin Clark's most vocal superfans, also refuted the notion that the league's recent success is unsustainable because it over-relies on Clark's star power. Athletic Club table offer for Al-Nassr star
La Liga outfit Athletic Club this week moved forward with an opening bid for a former member of the club's defensive ranks. The player in question? Aymeric Laporte. Stopper Laporta is widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out. The Spanish international is no longer part of the plans at Saudi outfit Al-Nassr, fresh off sealing a deal for Feyenoord standout Dávid Hancko. With Laporte still held in high regard across Europe, a whole host of clubs have in turn been credited with an interest in his services. And as alluded to above, this week, one such suitor went as far as to send a proposal for his signature the way of Al-Nassr. As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano: 'Athletic Club made first verbal proposal to Al Nassr today for Aymeric Laporte.
