Prince William Has 'Terrifying' Warning for Anyone Meeting Robert Irwin
Prince William is all for conservation, but if you're meeting Robert Irwin, he has one very specific heads-up: be ready for whatever might come out of his pockets.
The 43-year-old royal made a surprise appearance on BBC Radio 2 via voice note on Tuesday, June 24, during Irwin's guest segment with host Scott Mills.
As the Australian wildlife photographer fielded questions from listeners about tiger teeth and elephant populations, Mills, 51, teased 'we've got one more' message — which turned out to be from the future king himself.

'Good morning, Scott, or should I say, G'day, Scott?' William began. 'I know you've got the fantastic Robert Irwin on the show this morning, a brilliant ambassador for the Earthshot Prize.'

William went on to invite both Mills and Irwin to the next Earthshot Prize ceremony, set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this November. 'It's going to be a fantastic event, great show,' he said.

Then came the warning.
'Just beware, Scott, that Robert likes to pull random terrifying animals and creatures out of his pockets while he's on anyone's show and talking to them, so just watch your back at all times,' the heir to the British throne said. 'That tarantula or something doesn't suddenly pop onto your desk.'
The 21-year-old wildlife expert — and son of the late Steve Irwin — became a Global Ambassador for the Earthshot Prize in 2024 and has since appeared alongside William at multiple events. The two were last seen together at the Earthshot Awards in Cape Town that November, where they bonded over their favorite African animals (a cheetah for William, a chameleon for Robert) in a video they shared on both of their Instagram accounts.

'For Prince William, who has such a great platform, to lend his voice, his resources to creating positive change is such a refreshing, wonderful thing to see,' the animal advocate told People in November 2023. 'I applaud what he is doing.'

YouTuber Lauren Southern accuses Andrew Tate of sexually assaulting her and choking her unconscious
YouTuber Lauren Southern has accused controversial influencer Andrew Tate of sexually assaulting her and choking her unconscious. Southern, now 30, alleges in an upcoming memoir that Tate — who has been accused of numerous sex crimes — attacked her when she flew to discuss a business proposal with him in the Romanian capital Bucharest in 2018, when she was 22. Tate's attorney said Wednesday that the influencer 'unequivocally repudiates the pathetic filth peddled' by his latest accuser. Southern said she had a dinner with Tate that was 'flirtatious' and 'charming' — but then changed and seemed 'off,' in excerpts of her memoir, 'This Is Not Real Life,' shared Tuesday on her Substack. 4 Andrew Tate has been accused of sexual assault by an alt-right YouTuber. AP Andrew and his brother, Tristan, later invited the Canadian YouTuber back to their compound, but instead took her to a nightclub — where she ended up vomiting after just one cocktail and a shot, she wrote. She alleges that Andrew Tate then picked her up, put her in a car, took her back to her hotel room and forced himself on her. 'He kissed me. I wasn't expecting it, and I wasn't looking for it, but I kissed him back briefly and then told him I wanted to sleep,' she wrote. 4 Lauren Southern, 30, accused Tate of assaulting her in 2018. @laurencheriie/Instagram 'I was extraordinarily tired. He wanted to go further. I said no, very clearly, multiple times, and tried to pull his hands off me.' As she tried to fight back, Tate 'put his arm around my neck and began strangling me unconscious,' Southern wrote, alleging that he kept strangling her every time she 'regained enough consciousness' to push him off. 'I'd prefer not to share the rest. It's pretty obvious,' she wrote. Southern described how reading news articles about other alleged assaults by Tate that matched her experiences led to her leaving far-right politics. Her decision to publish the chapters detailing the alleged incident for free was because she didn't want to 'profit off this incident,' she wrote. 4 Tate faces many charges in the UK and Romania, including rape and sex trafficking. Andrew Tate/ Instagram Tate's representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comment Wednesday, but his attorney, Joseph D. McBride, released a furious denial on X early Wednesday. 'Andrew Tate unequivocally repudiates the pathetic filth peddled by Lauren Southern in her pitiable tome,' he said, calling it 'nothing but an evil marketing ploy.' Tate will 'pursue Southern relentlessly for defamation,' the attorney said — suggesting it was part of a broader attack against all men. 4 Southern detailed the attack in her newly-released memoir. @laurencheriie/Instagram 'They targeted Trump, then Tate; mark my words, you are in the crosshairs next,' McBride wrote. In a separate video Tate shared on X, controversial far-right UK activist Tommy Robinson claimed he was at the hotel the morning after Southern alleges she was attacked. 'I was in the hotel room next door, when I walked out of the room the next morning when we were leaving, Lauren Southern's at the door kissing [Tate],' he said — calling it proof Southern's allegations are 'insanity' and 'bullshit.' Tate, the notorious 'manosphere' influencer, faces many criminal charges in the UK and Romania, including rape and human trafficking. He is also accused of threatening a woman with a gun and violently sexually assaulting another ex-girlfriend, charges which he has denied. Southern announced her retirement from political activism in 2019, but in 2020 she declared her return in a YouTube video in which she expressed some remorse for her previous hardline stances.

Amanda Knox Sends Message to 'SNL'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Amanda Knox's tongue-in-cheek post about one day appearing on Saturday Night Live has gone viral on social media. Newsweek reached out to Knox's representative and NBC via email on Wednesday for comment. Why It Matters Knox, now 38, garnered worldwide attention in 2007 after she was accused of murdering her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, during a study abroad program in Perugia, Italy. She spent nearly four years in an Italian prison before her conviction was overturned, and she was exonerated in 2015. In the days after Kercher's murder, Knox falsely accused her boss, Patrick Lumumba, of the killing, and he spent two weeks in prison. At the time, she had signed statements to police, though she later questioned her accusation in a handwritten note. Knox was convicted of slander and received a three-year sentence. What To Know On Monday, Knox took to X to speak out about the nickname she received at the height of her fame. "When I was twenty years old, I became a symbol. I did not ask for it. I did not understand it. I certainly did not benefit from it," she told her 161,200 followers on the platform in a lengthy thread. "I became a caricature of a person: 'Foxy Knoxy.'" "An archetype: The seductress, the devil with the face of an angel, the ice queen, the remorseless murderess. My name and face had become a totem for society's anxieties about sex, youth, and femininity," she said in a subsequent post. In response to her post, X user @LordOfMundane wrote: "And then you became a Supreme Court Justice!" The user included side-by-side photos of Knox and Justice Amy Coney Barrett. "Just saying, I'm still available, SNL," Knox responded, appearing to agree with their resemblance. At the time of publication, Knox's post had racked up 194,700 views, 3,500 likes and 115 comments. What People Are Saying In the replies underneath Knox's X post, many encouraged Saturday Night Live to take her up on her offer to play Barrett. Lupita Nyong'o reveals uterine fibroid battle
The Oscar winner shared details of her longtime struggle with the chronic condition in a candid Instagram post, and explained she learned of her diagnosis more than a decade ago. 'In March 2014, I won an Academy Award. That same year, I discovered I had uterine fibroids.'"30 fibroids. I had surgery to remove them. I asked my doctor if I could do anything to prevent them from recurring. She said: 'You can't. It's only a matter of time until they grow again'.'
