Meet Chloe Kelly's Greenskeeper Husband Scott Moore

Meet Chloe Kelly's Greenskeeper Husband Scott Moore

Graziadaily3 days ago
The world watched with bated breath last night as the Lionesses as they soared to victory in the Euros quarter finals.
The tense match saw England beat Sweden in a break taking quarter-final penalty shootout. Although all the Lionesses put in an amazing performance, Chloe Kelly certainly stood out as making an impact. She came off the bench, and played a part in goals from Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang, before scoring in the shootout.
But alongside her sporting prowess, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Chloe Kelly shared a sweet tribute to her husband, Scott Moore, spotting that her shin pads bore a picture from their wedding day.
Scott Moore is Chloe Kelly's husband, and he currently works as a greenskeeper at a golf course. Scott and Chloe got married in a beautiful ceremony at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire last July - with their anniversary falling over the Euros tournament. However, Chloe recently opened up to say she sorted anything for the celebration yet.
'I haven't even got a card, to be honest. I'm sure in the moment, I'll think of something and get my mum to sort it,' she said. 'But no, we are just taking it each game as it comes and we've got a huge game coming up and we know that we need to be at our best for that, so not looking too far ahead. I'm sure Scott has, but I definitely haven't.'
The couple got engaged in December 2023, set against the backdrop of the Northern Lights in Finnish Lapland. Moore proposed to Kelly during a private husky ride, with Kelly describing the moment on Instagram as 'the easiest yes ever.'
Chloe and Scott first met while she was playing for Everton, and he had a job as a groundsman. Sparks flew after she held a door open for him, and he went on to message her on Instagram. The couple have previously revealed that their first date involved a trip to IKEA.
In an interview with The Sun, Chloe said: 'We got a little monkey and every time I see it, it reminds me of when we went to IKEA.'
No, Scott prefers to keep a low profile away from social media. However, he's regularly spotted supporting Chloe at her matches, including at the Euros final at Wembley.

Liam Dawson to make England Test return in place of injured Shoaib Bashir

Liam Dawson will make his first Test appearance in eight years in place of the injured Shoaib Bashir as England look to seal a series win over India at Emirates Old Trafford. The 35-year-old played the last of his three Tests in July 2017, but he has been a star performer on the County Championship circuit with Hampshire and amassed 49 wickets in 2023 and a further 53 in 2024. He had drifted out of England's red and white-ball contention in recent years, but Bashir breaking a finger on his non-bowling hand in the 22-run win at Lord's last week opened the door for Dawson. England have now confirmed their XI, as is now customary, two days out from the fourth Test and Dawson coming in for Bashir is the only change, with Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse retained. As well as being a shrewd left-arm spinner, Dawson, who returned to England's T20 side in their win over the West Indies last month, has 18 first-class hundreds and is a renowned as a fine fielder. Harry Brook said: '(Dawson) is a wily, old fox, very experienced and a very skilful cricketer. He's played everywhere, played against everyone so hopefully he can have an amazing performance this week. 'He's willing to always fight for the team, he's very competitive and it's good to have him here.'

Why Morgan Gibbs-White didn't travel with Nottingham Forest squad for pre-season in Portugal

Tottenham are still in the dark over Morgan Gibbs-White's future after Nottingham Forest quickly shut down his move to north London over claims of an "illegal approach", despite activating his £60m release clause Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has not travelled with the team for their pre-season camp in Portugal due to a "personal matter", amid his club's ongoing transfer row with Tottenham. ‌ Spurs and Forest began a dispute over Gibbs-White after the north London club triggered his £60m release clause and even set up a medical for the England international. But Forest quickly slammed the brakes on the deal and claimed that Tottenham had not been granted permission to the speak to the player - saying they would be consulting their lawyers after their "illegal approach". ‌ Forest have since reported Spurs to the Premier League, with the dispute ongoing and the move considered off as things stand - though the move could yet be resurrected later down the line. ‌ Gibbs-White has since returned to training but is understood to be keen on joining Thomas Frank's men - and reportedly wanted his future solved by this week, before Forest jetted out to Portugal. Gibbs-White did not board the plane heading to their pre-season training camp on Monday. His fiancee, Britney De Villiers, posted a photo from a hospital bed on her Instagram on Sunday night. De Villiers, who is heavily pregnant, uploaded the picture with the caption: "To all the mamas who are dealing with or have dealt with a high risk pregnancy, my heart really goes out to you and I want you to know you're not alone. "This has been one of the hardest things I've dealt with and I just don't really remember a time I wasn't overwhelmed with stress." It's understood Forest have allowed Gibbs-White to stay with his family. He is expected to join up with the rest of his Forest team-mates later this week once he is ready. He played the first half of Forest's 0-0 draw at Chesterfield last week and was given a warm reception by fans. It's understood the 25-year-old has displayed an exemplary attitude amid the transfer saga but that he still wants clarity on his future either way. ‌ Gibbs-White has less than two years remaining on his deal at the City Ground and has shown no indication he wants to renew his contract amid the huge interest in his signature - including from Manchester City. It's believed Tottenham are considering submitting a second bid of £65m in the hopes it would change Forest's position, but it's not yet clear whether the club would be open to negotiations amid the fierce row. Forest have sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle for £55m and are reluctant to lose two key players in the same transfer window.
