Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 beats the Dimensity 9500 in CPU clock speed
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, due to be unveiled in late September, is now rumored to hit 4.6 GHz for its regular model, and a whopping 4.74 GHz in the "for Galaxy" higher-bin iteration that Samsung will be using in at least some of the Galaxy S26 devices next year.
The SoC's GPU is rumored to be clocked at up to 1.2 GHz, and its AnTuTu score, even in the tamer, generally available iteration (not the Samsung special), is rumored to be over 4 million.
Qualcomm will keep using its custom Oryon cores in the second generation of the Elite, and the SoC will be made on TSMC's N3p 3nm process. The CPU will have two Prime cores and six Performance cores, and the GPU will be marketed as the Adreno 840.

Oppo Reno14 FS leaks ahead of launch with specs, images, and pricing
Oppo initially launched the Reno14 and Reno14 Pro in May, then in June they became available outside of China and a new member joined the family: the Reno14 F. Now Oppo is apparently getting ready to expand the lineup even more, with the Reno14 FS which got leaked today. This model is slated to be an upgraded version of the Reno14 F, with more storage and memory. It's said to come with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC at the helm, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the back there's a triple camera system, with a 50 MP main camera using Sony's IMX882 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro camera. For selfies you get a 32 MP snapper in a hole-punch in the 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate. The Reno14 FS has a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging. It weighs 181g and measures 158.16 x 74.9 x 7.7 mm. It will allegedly be priced at €450 in the Eurozone. It's unclear exactly when it will land, but it will be soon. More details about Huawei's next tri-fold smartphone leak, and it won't be called Mate XT 2
Huawei launched the Mate XT, the first tri-fold smartphone in the world, last September, and we're now only a few weeks away from its one-year anniversary. To mark that occasion, Huawei is rumored to launch a new and improved tri-fold smartphone, that we initially assumed would be called Mate XT 2. Today a new rumor from China claims it will be Mate XTs instead, and that is perhaps more fitting considering that it won't be an entirely reworked device. It's said to come with improved performance from a new chipset, improved cameras, and new colorways. And that's it, everything else will stay identical to the original. Speaking of which, Huawei has allegedly sold more than 500,000 units of the Mate XT since its launch in China, despite its very prohibitive price. Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic review
Every other year, Samsung is introducing its new top-of-the-line Classic series smartwatches, alongside a modestly upgraded standard Galaxy Watch. But this year, the smartwatch portfolio has been reshuffled in the context of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Now, the Classic appears to be a complement to the Ultra, serving as a stepping stone between the vanilla and the Ultra, if you wish. Still, Samsung is promising significant improvements over the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. The Classic now adopts the cushion design that the company introduced last year, along with the Dynamic Lug locking system for the straps. It's marketed as both a design and a functional upgrade, since it helps improve the accuracy of the BioActive sensor. To be fair, with the addition of the Quick Button to the rotating bezel, the Classic feels like it's closer to the Ultra. It's still a premium smartwatch.
