The Flora Day live stream will be up and running from 6.30am on Thursday, May 8 (Image: Helston Packet)
Three live stream cameras will capture the magic of Flora Day 2025, designed for those unable to make it into town.
Installed by the team at PC Primary in Helston, the cameras are positioned at key locations in the town to ensure that each dance and the Hal-an-Tow can be watched by people at home or anywhere in the world.
All dances will be able to be viewed via the livestream (Image: Helston Packet) The live stream was a popular addition to Helston's historic event after it was first tested in 2014. It allowed viewers, whether in a different country or local residents unable to attend in person, to experience the dancers making their way through the town.
The locations of the three cameras are:
Opposite the Guildhall on Coinagehall Street
Facing the Monument at the bottom of Coinagehall Street
Meneage Street

'Next year, we're hoping to expand; we have many plans in place.'
Honorary Secretary of the Flora Day Association, Nick Wills, highlighted the benefits of the livestream.
He said, 'The ability for those who can't make it into town to still be part of Flora Day via the Live Stream is incredibly important.
"It allows people near and far to feel connected and involved, no matter where they are. It's an invaluable service that enhances the day for so many.
'A huge thank you must go to Phil Williams and his team at PC Primary for all the behind-the-scenes work – the technical side is no small feat, and they pulled it off brilliantly.'

Deadheads Are Really Going to Love IMAX This Summer

The Grateful Dead is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, from the massive 60-CD box set Enjoying the Ride to a book of rare Jim Marshall photographs. Now, the long, strange trip continues with two separate screenings on IMAX. Dead & Company — the offshoot that celebrated its 10th anniversary this year with another residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas — will livestream the last of their three shows in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. That live IMAX event takes place on Aug. 3, and features an opening set by the Trey Anastasio Band. The tickets come with a poster and lanyard. More from Rolling Stone From Grateful Dead to Metallica, These Band Tees Are Under $30 for the Last Few Hours of Amazon Prime Day Dead & Company's 60th Anniversary Grateful Dead Shows Sold Out, But These Sites Still Have Stubs Add a Little 'Touch of Grey' to Your Cart with Vineyard Vines' New Grateful Dead Collab In addition, The Grateful Dead Movie will hit IMAX screens in select theaters on Aug. 14 (with an advanced preview on Aug. 13). The 1977 film captures the band's five-night stand at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom in October of 1974, what they believed at the time to be their final run of shows. Co-directed by Jerry Garcia and Leon Gast, it marks the film's first time on the big screen in eight years, and its first time being shown via IMAX. Fans can also see the theatrical premiere of a bonus live performance of 'China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider,' which they can catch at the end of the film. 'It was the greatest screening I've ever experienced of a film I've seen hundreds of times,' the band's archivist and legacy manager David Lemieux said of the IMAX screening. In December 2024, the Dead were honored at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and were celebrated as MusiCares' Persons of the Year in January in Los Angeles. Just before bassist Phil Lesh died last fall, Bobby Weir told Rolling Stone the band was considering reuniting for the anniversary. 'I think when Phil checked out, so did that notion, because we don't have a bass player who's been playing with us for 60 years now,' he said. 'And that was the intriguing prospect. … I think you need somebody holding down the bottom. Phil had all kinds of ideas that were pretty much unique to him. I grew up with Phil holding down the bottom in his unique way.' He added: 'I suppose I could go back out. I wouldn't put anybody in his place, so it would be a trio at this point. It'd be me and two drummers. I'd have to think about that. I haven't thought about it — it's just now occurring to me that it's a possibility that we could do that, since you asked. … I guess we'll just see what the three of us can pull together.' Hunter Biden goes off on George Clooney: ‘F‑‑‑ him and everybody around him'

Hunter Biden went off on actor George Clooney and other high-profile Democrats in an expletive-filled response to their calls for his father, former President Biden, to drop out of the 2024 election. Appearing on YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan's web series 'Channel 5,' Hunter Biden lashed out at Clooney and other members of the party who publicly criticized the former president after his disastrous debate against President Trump last summer. 'F‑‑‑ him. F‑‑‑ him. F‑‑‑ him and everybody around him,' Hunter Biden said during the interview released Monday, in response to an anecdote about Clooney's political involvement. 'I don't have to be f‑‑‑ing nice. No. 1, I agree with Quentin Tarantino. … F‑‑‑ing George Clooney is not a f‑‑‑ing actor. He is a f‑‑‑ing, like … I don't know what he is. He is a brand.' Clooney was among the first prominent Democrats to call on the then-president to drop out, warning in an op-ed in The New York Times last July that the party would lose the election otherwise. Within two weeks, the elder Biden announced he was dropping his reelection bid and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to fill his place. Clooney thanked him 'for saving democracy once again' in response and endorsed Harris. The former president's son also lashed out at other high-profile figures in the party. 'What do you have to do with f‑‑‑ing anything? Why do I have to f‑‑‑ing listen to you?' Biden asked. 'What right do you have to step on a man who's given 52 years of his f‑‑‑ing life to service of this country and to decide you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full page ad in the f‑‑‑ing New York Times. … To me — and James Carville, who hasn't run a race in 40 f‑‑‑ing years, and David Axelrod who had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama and that was because of Barack Obama, not because of f‑‑‑ing David Axelrod and David Plouffe and all of these guys … and the Pod Save America Guys, who were junior f‑‑‑ing speechwriters on Barack Obama's Senate staff who had been dining out on their relationship with him.' Hunter Biden, who was pardoned over multiple federal charges by his father during the last months of the former president's administration, has reemerged in public in recent weeks to slam the Democratic Party's handling of the election. He is slated to appear on former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison's new podcast, a trailer for which shows him blaming the Democratic Party's loss on its lack of loyalty to his father. 'You know what, we are going to fight amongst ourselves for the next three years until there's a nominee. And then with the nominee, we better as hell get behind that nominee,' Biden told Harrison on 'At Our Table.' Tommy Vietor, one of the hosts of 'Pod Save America,' responded to Biden's comments in a post on the social platform X. 'It's good to see that Hunter has taken some time to process the election, look inward, and hold himself accountable for how his family's insular, dare I say, arrogant at times, approach to politics led to this catastrophic outcome we're all now living with,' he wrote.
