Liverpool have ‘no plans' to meet Marc Guehi price tag
The Premier League champions are interested in a deal to sign the defender but are not prepared to meet the current price tag.
Guehi has been targeted as a replacement for Jarell Quansah, who is set to sign for Bayer Leverkusen in a £34m deal.

The former has just 12 months to run on his contract at Palace and Liverpool will not pay over the odds for the England international. Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in Guehi, while Tottenham Hotspur had an offer turned down in January.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed Liverpool value Guehi at 'well south' of £50m. The Reds are reportedly seeking a deal for around £30m.
If Palace are reluctant to lower their expectations, Liverpool will move on to alternative targets. Guehi, meanwhile, hasn't ruled out seeing out the final season of his contract.
The 24-year-old wants assurances over his minutes next season with the 2026 World Cup looming. A free transfer exit next summer would also grant him an extensive list of potential clubs.

Liverpool also like Ajax defender Jorrel Hato and are targeting a youthful centre-back to provide cover, and eventually competition, for Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
The latter has also entered the final 12 months of his deal at Anfield and has been linked with Real Madrid. Discussions are ongoing over a new deal for the France international.

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota dies after Lamborghini bursts into flames in Spain
Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has died in a car crash in Spain after a Lamborghini he was travelling in veered off the road and burst into flames following a suspected tyre blowout. Tributes from the football world and beyond flooded in for the 28-year-old father of three, who had married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso just 11 days ago. Jota was found dead alongside his brother Andre Silva following the crash on the A-52 in Palacios de Sanabria near the city of Zamora at 12.40am on Thursday. Police said they were investigating the possibility that the Lamborghini left the road because of a tyre blowout while overtaking, and a source from the government sub-delegation in Zamora confirmed 'a possible speeding incident' was being looked at. Liverpool said the club was 'devastated' by the news and that it was an 'unimaginable loss'. The Portuguese Football Federation also said it was 'devastated' to learn of the deaths, adding: 'Their deaths represent irreparable losses for Portuguese football.' Police said no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Pictures of the aftermath of the crash showed debris scattered along the side of the road including what appeared to be charred parts of the vehicle.
