'I flew to Italy and had pizza for under £20, but Domino's is better'
A man flew from the UK to Italy and had a pizza in Trieste for less than the price of a takeaway at home - but says Domino's is better. Muscab Salad spent less than £20 on the day trip abroad, while a large cheese and tomato pizza at home would have cost him £21.99.
With an Ryanair flight costing £9, train fare at £4 and a traditional pizza setting him back £6.74 - Muscab came in under budget. The Londoner arrived at Stansted Airport on Friday, May 16, to board his 10am flight.
He landed in the beautiful northern city of Trieste, where he took a £4 train from the airport into the city centre and stumbled across a picturesque spot overlooking the canal. For £6.74, the content creator ordered a classic margherita at Pizzeria Le Delizie.

This meant the trip cost him £19.74 - £2.25 cheaper than a pizza from his beloved fast food spot. But despite rating the trip a 'ten out of ten', Muscab has revealed that he still prefers a Domino's.
He said: 'I prefer Domino's, I'm not going to lie, I think the Americans do pizza better. I love Domino's and usually get it every other month, but this trip put things into perspective.
'I wanted to show people that you don't need to spend loads to have an adventure. Sometimes, flying to Italy is cheaper than staying in the UK. I'd love to explore the UK more, but it's just not affordable.
'With the right timing, you can have an unforgettable experience abroad for less than a day out in central London.'

Whether you're planning a cross-country road trip or an international adventure, understanding your health insurance coverage while traveling is crucial for avoiding unexpected medical bills and ensuring you receive proper care when needed. Here are three steps to help with that before, during, and after your trip: Before your trip It is a good idea to schedule a wellness visit, if you have not had one already. This appointment can help determine your fitness for travel and identify potential health issues. Best of all, these annual preventive exams are typically covered at no additional out-of-pocket cost as part of your health plan. Likewise, your physician can check if you and your family members are up to date on recommended vaccinations, which can be especially important when traveling internationally. Vacationing on a budget: How the economy is influencing 2025 summer travel Finally, whether you are covered through an employer or individual plan, Medicare and Medicaid, check with your plan to understand what is covered while traveling outside of your home area, including to determine whether any U.S. destinations will have in-network care providers available and whether any international destinations will have coverage at all. During your trip It's important to know emergency care will typically be covered by your plan, assuming you are still in the U.S. For people with Medicare Advantage, these plans may include limited coverage for non-emergency care outside of the plan's local or regional provider network.
