
Police throw the book at erratic driver in Grey Highlands
Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple reports from concerned drivers about a vehicle driving erratically northbound along Highway 10 in Grey Highlands on Monday at around 2 p.m.
Police say witnesses described the vehicle as weaving dangerously through traffic and causing damage to several vehicles.
Police located the driver on Highway 6-10, north of Chatsworth and he was taken into custody.
A 31-year-old Etobicoke man has been charged with the following offences:
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
Flight from peace officer
Operation while impaired
Two counts of assaulting peace officer
Fail to display two licence plates
Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt
Fail to stop for police
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 27.

Two youths drown in northwestern Ontario river

'Both youths were located and recovered from the water by emergency personnel,' OPP said in a news release Friday. 'They were transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.' Authorities have not released the identities of the victims, citing respect for the family's privacy. 'OPP would like to thank members of the public who provided assistance,' said police. Ongoing investigation The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and authorities urge anyone with information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.

Chatham-Kent man charged in road rage incident
