Zak Starkey Has Strong Advice For Replacement Drummer
Recently, the son of Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey, found himself out of a job when The Who ousted him from the band. But, The Who is not the only mega-famous band that Starkey has been a part of. From 2005 to 2008, Starkey was the touring drummer for Oasis. And, although you'd think that getting fired from The Who could send Starkey back to Oasis, the truth is he won't be returning to that band either, mostly for timing reasons. However, he does have some advice for the newest Oasis drummer, Joey Waronker. "The thing about groups that you love – like The Who or Oasis – is that it's not a job," Starkey told NME in a new interview. "It's about protecting music." To that point, about protecting the music, Starkey says the key to being a good Oasis drummer is simple. "Make sure you get the tempos right. Then boys know." Starkey might not be touring with Oasis anytime soon again, but he is, kind of, already in a supergroup with two Oasis members. Mantra Of The Cosmos consists of Shaun Ryder, Bez of The Happy Mondays, as well as Andy Bell, of Oasis. And the most recent song, "Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)," features Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher According to Starkey, when Gallagher heard the new song, he said: "'This is the maddest thing I've ever heard,' and that's a compliment!" You can listen to the over-the-top song yourself on Spotify or below. View the to see embedded media. Prince Harry Reportedly 'Full Of Regrets' Over His Role In The Royal Rift Amid Plea For Reconciliation
Prince Harry "regrets" the role he played in the ongoing rift with the royal family, especially after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit their roles as working royals. According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex wishes he had handled things "differently," as the feud between the two parties appears to have no end in sight. This follows the revelation that Prince Harry intends to extend an olive branch to his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, by inviting them both to the 2027 Invictus Games. Harry and Meghan have been at odds with the royal family since the couple stepped back from their roles as senior royals and relocated to the U.S. Things further worsened when the pair had a sit-down with famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey and made allegations of bullying and racism against the royal family. Shortly afterwards, Harry dropped his bombshell memoir, "Spare," in which he made further strong allegations against his family members. According to royal author, Duncan Larcombe, Harry now regrets his actions and wishes he had taken a different approach. "Harry is a sensitive soul and always wore his heart on his sleeve, so whether he'd admit it publicly or not, I'm sure he's full of regrets and wishes he'd done things differently," Larcombe told OK! Magazine. He continued, "With Trooping the Colour and Father's Day falling on the same weekend, it was bound to make him look back at the happy relationships he once had with his brother and dad, and I'm sure he'd love to be able to rebuild those." The remarks by author Larcombe come after it was alleged that Harry is planning to invite King Charles and Prince William to the 2027 Invictus Games in a move that could mark the beginning of a royal reconciliation. The games, which will be held in Birmingham in July of that year, may serve as the setting for a long-awaited family reunion. According to sources, the Duke of Sussex has already approved a proposed royal guest list and helped shape the language of the upcoming invitations. Initial outreach to Buckingham Palace is expected to be made via email this month, with formal invitations to follow as the event draws closer. An insider told the Daily Mail that Harry is open to having his relatives present, noting, "The Royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him that might be reciprocated." However, the royal family may face a delicate dilemma as the 2027 Invictus Games are scheduled to run from July 12 to July 17, dates that overlap with Queen Camilla's 80th birthday, a milestone already being marked with planned celebrations. The invitation to the Invictus Games is said to mark Harry's first public outreach to his family since tensions began more than five years ago, and with the idea of reconciliation back in the spotlight, royal experts are cautioning that deep-rooted issues, particularly those related to trust, still pose significant hurdles. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward noted that while Charles may be inclined to attend the Invictus Games to honor the armed forces and recognize Harry's achievements, there is hesitation. "The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family," she said. Commentator Katie Nicholl echoed the sentiment, adding that despite past tensions, the monarch still longs for a meaningful relationship with Harry and his children. Meanwhile, royal commentator Katie Nicholl said, "The King absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren." She added, "He has an incredible capacity for forgiveness, and he wants to be magnanimous in all of this, and therefore there's certainly a possibility that the King might consider attending Invictus." In an interview with the BBC last month, Harry opened up about his hopes for healing the long-standing rift within the royal family, expressing a desire to move forward, especially in light of Charles' ongoing battle with cancer. "There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he admitted. However, the duke emphasized that he's chosen forgiveness, saying, "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. Forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father and brother back." Harry also acknowledged the strain caused by ongoing disputes over security. "My father won't speak to me because of the security stuff," he revealed, noting that after losing his legal bid for police protection, he doesn't currently "see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point." As it stands, it's unclear whether Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will accompany him to the 2027 Invictus Games. If she opts not to attend, it would be the first time she's missed the event since meeting Harry. Meanwhile, according to HELLO! Magazine Harry and Meghan reportedly underwent another major staff shake-up, parting ways with four members of their team. Among those exiting are Kyle Boulia, the couple's deputy press secretary based in Los Angeles, and Charlie Gipson, their UK press officer. According to insiders, at least two other private staffers have also recently stepped down. These changes follow the couple's decision to bring in a new communications team, now led by Meredith Kendall Maines, who was appointed Chief Communications Officer earlier this year. A source close to the Sussexes noted that more changes could be on the horizon. "Something tells me there will be another change in the future," the insider said. "Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out."

Tennis Fans Want Reporter Fired For 'Tacky' Carlos Alcaraz Question
Tennis Fans Want Reporter Fired For 'Tacky' Carlos Alcaraz Question originally appeared on The Spun. With the 2025 Wimbledon Championships on the horizon, Carlos Alcaraz is trending because of his life off the court. Advertisement Earlier this month, Alcaraz asked Emma Raducanu to be his partner for mixed doubles at the US Open. She was more than willing to accept his offer. Once their partnership for the final Grand Slam tournament of the year was confirmed, fans started speculating about their connection. That speculation only grew louder when Alcaraz and Raducanu were spotted practicing together at Wimbledon. Raducanu later revealed they were working on something with Evian since they're both ambassadors for the brand. Despite their best efforts to keep the focus on tennis, Alcaraz and Raducanu haven't been able to dodge questions from the public. On Saturday afternoon, Raducanu was asked about her dynamic with Alcaraz. An unidentified reporter was wondering if there's a potential romance brewing behind the scenes. Advertisement "There's been lots of chatter online about your friendship with Carlos," a reporter asked. "Is there any truth behind the rumors?" Raducanu replied, "We're just good friends." In fact, some fans want this reporter to face consequences for this question. "Tennis reporters should not ask such questions," one fan said. "This is getting ridiculous," a second fan wrote. "It is none of our business, leave them alone," a third fan commented. "Tennis reporters are so unprofessional. Some reporters, especially those from the UK. It is yet another example of the circuits, particularly the @wta failing to monitor the press conferences and protect their players," an Instagram user wrote. Advertisement "Leave them alone and let it happen organically if you do like them as a couple. Tacky otherwise, but it's the media so what else is new," another social media user said. As of now, the reporter hasn't apologized for their question about Alcaraz and Raducanu. Hopefully, this bizarre situation doesn't become the top story at Wimbledon this upcoming week.
