Realme GT 7 series first in line to get Android 16, followed by GT 6

In a short press release Realme promised to be among the first to deliver Android 16 to its flagship lineup. Of course, it's no surprise that the GT 7 series will be the first phones from Realme's portfolio to get the latest and greatest from Google.
The Realme GT 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite, in particular, will be the first phone to get Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. The Realme GT 7 and GT 7T, running on Dimensity 9400e and Dimensity 8400, are expected to receive Android 16 shortly after.
Soon after Realme completes the update cycle for the Realme GT 7 family, the company will focus on the Realme GT 6 lineup, with the GT 6 and GT 6T first in line from the series.

The first is for "Settings" access, which lets them manage device configurations and home-wide features like automations or Nest Wifi. The second is for "Activity" access, which allows them to see history from cameras, locks, and presence sensors. If neither option is enabled, Members still get basic control of devices but won't be able to make changes or view logs. As long as they're part of your Google family group, they can now be added as Members. That gives them the ability to do things like turn on lights or unlock the door after school, all without access to sensitive settings or Admins and Members can use features tied to their personal Google accounts, such as Voice Match and shared media services. However, only Admins can manage other users, link subscriptions, or change high-level Member role originally appeared in Public Preview back in December 2024. Here's when the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 is coming
Nothing unveiled the Nothing Phone (3) yesterday as its first true flagship, and it comes with the promise of five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. However, despite the stable release of Android 16 by Google, the Nothing Phone (3) boots Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. While Nothing hasn't provided a specific release date for Android 16 for its smartphones, it has revealed the timeframe for its rollout. During yesterday's launch, Carl Pei, Founder and CEO of Nothing, revealed that Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, is coming "later this autumn." It's safe to say that the Nothing Phone (3) will be the first in line to receive Nothing OS 4.0, with the rollout expanding to older models later. The Nothing Phone (3) will be available for pre-order starting July 4, with sales commencing on July 15. Nothing has confirmed that Nothing OS 4.0, its Android 16-based software update, will arrive before the end of Q3 202. That likely means we'll see it land on the newly announced Nothing Phone (3) within just a couple of months. The announcement came quietly, in the background of the company's latest product launch, but it's a surprisingly big deal: this is one of the fastest major OS rollouts Nothing has ever attempted. For reference, Android 15 didn't start reaching Nothing phones until the very end of last year. So, what's the rush? Well, it might just have something to do with Nothing's most ambitious phone yet. We recently got our hands on the Nothing Phone (3), and to call it different would be putting it mildly.
