Crystal Farms Unveils Bold New Cheese Offerings Just in Time for Summer
MINNEAPOLIS, June 24, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This summer, Crystal Farms Dairy Co. is turning up the flavor with the launch of bold new cheese offerings crafted to meet consumers' growing appetite for exciting, recipe-ready options.
Hitting shelves throughout the Midwest, the new lineup includes the Seasoned Collection of shredded cheeses—featuring Garlic & Herb, a low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese seasoned with garlic and herbs, and Zesty Ranch, a white sharp cheddar cheese with ranch seasoning—along with Carolina Reaper Cheese Slices for those craving heat.
The new products are a direct response to consumer feedback about evolving tastes. According to Andrew Cannon, associate director of marketing at Crystal Farms, the company took a hands-on approach to innovation.
"We conducted consumer surveys, analyzed market trends and even sat down with people in their own kitchens to understand where cheese could do more," Cannon said. "The desire for bold flavors and convenient, recipe-ready products came through loud and clear. That inspired us to explore new ways to bring crave-worthy flavor directly into the cheese itself."
Leveraging its seasoning application capabilities, Crystal Farms developed its Seasoned Collection to seamlessly add bold flavor to tacos, pasta, casseroles, salads and more—all without the need for extra sauces or seasonings. Meanwhile, the Carolina Reaper Slices offer a fiery twist on cheese that's perfect for burgers, sandwiches or straight from the fridge.
"We're incredibly excited to bring these delicious and unique products to consumers' tables," Cannon said. "They're fun, flavorful and make it easy to elevate everyday meals."
These new items will be available at Midwest grocers like Cub, Piggly Wiggly, Woodman's, Festival and more this summer.

Gold Reserve Announces US$7.382 Billion Citgo Bid Recommendation
PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gold Reserve Ltd. (TSX.V: GRZ) (OTCQX: GDRZF) announced today that its U.S. acquisition subsidiary, Dalinar Energy Corporation, is the Final Recommended Bidder for the purchase of shares of PDV Holding, Inc., the indirect parent company of CITGO Petroleum Corp. The selection of the U.S.-based Dalinar was made public today in the Notice of Final Recommendation filed by the Special Master appointed by the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, which is overseeing the sale process. This represents a significant milestone in Gold Reserve's nearly 15-year legal journey. A copy of the Special Master's Final Recommendation and supporting materials, including Dalinar's bid materials, can be found here. For further information regarding Dalinar, visit: 'We are thankful for all of the efforts of the Special Master and his advisors to reach today's final US$7.382 billion bid recommendation. We believe the recommendation acknowledges the strength of Dalinar's bid,' said Paul Rivett, Gold Reserve's Executive Vice Chairman. Mr. Rivett continued, 'Our bid satisfies creditors further down the waterfall than was ever contemplated by any prior bid since the inception of the Delaware sale process. Gold Reserve is thankful to our consortium partners, financial counterparties, and other stakeholders who steadfastly supported us through the years and made today's bid recommendation possible. Above all, we are very grateful to the team members that worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome, and to Gold Reserve's supportive shareholders who kept the faith and believed in us through tough times, some for many thankless decades. We look forward to the Court's decision in August and getting closer to finally closing this chapter in Gold Reserve's long history.' Dalinar's bid is supported by a consortium that includes judgment creditors Rusoro Mining Ltd., Koch Minerals Sarl and Koch Nitrogen International Sarl, and Siemens Energy, Inc. The bid's stated net purchase price is US$7.382 billion 1, significantly higher than the US$3.7 billion stalking horse bid submitted by Red Tree Investments earlier this year. At closing, Gold Reserve will own approximately 44% of Dalinar's common equity, representing 85% of the voting shares. 2 In addition, Gold Reserve will hold at least $150 million of $1.5 billion of preferred equity securities in Dalinar or one of its subsidiaries. Dalinar's US$7.382 billion bid benefits several parties by satisfying in full, in cash, or non-cash consideration, Gold Reserve's attached judgment, the attached judgments of all creditors senior to Gold Reserve in the court-approved priority waterfall, and the attached judgment of junior creditor Siemens Energy, Inc. The Dalinar bid includes a combination of equity and debt financing. A consortium of lenders, led by J.P. Morgan and TD Bank and including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), have provided commitments for the full amount of the anticipated debt financing. 'We would like to specifically acknowledge the overwhelming effort and belief in this bid demonstrated by Meghann Altman and Keith Canton at J.P. Morgan from the outset of our submissions last year, and more recently, John Prato at TD Bank, who worked to bolster our financing at a crucial time this year that allowed us to remain competitive', said Paul Rivett. 'All financial institutions are not equal and in the end it is the people in those institutions that provide for greatness at crucial times.' The Delaware Court is scheduled to hold a Sale Hearing on August 18, 2025. The specific terms of the Dalinar bid are governed by a stock purchase agreement between Dalinar and the Special Master that can be viewed here. Dalinar's purchase of the PDVH shares is subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including but not limited to approval by the U.S. Department of Treasury' s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Gold Reserve wishes to thank the teams at Citgo Petroleum for their strong support for the business and its stakeholders throughout this extenuated process. We look forward to working with these professionals at Citgo Petroleum in the months and years to come. Gold Reserve will continue to provide periodic updates regarding the sale process as additional information becomes available. KIOXIA AiSAQ Software Advances AI RAG with New Version of Vector Search Library
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In an ongoing effort to improve the usability of AI vector database searches within retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems by optimizing the use of solid-state drives (SSDs), KIOXIA today announced an update to its AiSAQ™ (All-in-Storage ANNS with Product Quantization) software. This new open-source release introduces flexible controls that allow system architects to define the balance point between search performance and the number of vectors, which are opposing factors with the fixed capacity of SSD storage in the system. The resulting benefit enables architects of RAG systems to fine-tune the optimal balance between specific workloads and their requirements, without any hardware modifications. "This level of flexibility is critical to building scalable, RAG systems – powered by SSD storage. By open-sourcing our technology, we're reinforcing our commitment to the AI community with solutions that are both powerful and accessible to everyone." KIOXIA AiSAQ software uses a novel approximate nearest neighbor search (ANNS) algorithm that is optimized for SSDs and eliminates the need to store index data in DRAM. By enabling vector searches directly on SSDs and reducing host memory requirements, KIOXIA AiSAQ technology allows vector databases to scale, largely without the restrictions caused by limited DRAM capacity. When the installed capacity of the SSD in the system is fixed, increasing search performance (queries per second) requires more SSD capacity consumed per vector. This results in a smaller number of vectors. Conversely, to maximize the number of vectors, SSD capacity consumption per vector needs to be reduced, which results in lower performance. The optimal balance between these two opposing conditions varies depending on the specific workload. To find the appropriate balance, KIOXIA AiSAQ software introduces flexible configuration options. This latest update allows administrators to select the optimal balance for a variety of contrasting workloads among the RAG system. This update makes KIOXIA AiSAQ technology a suitable SSD-based ANNS for not only RAG applications, but also other vector-hungry applications such as offline semantic searches. With growing demand for scalable AI services, SSDs offer a practical alternative to DRAM for managing the high throughput and low latency that RAG systems require. KIOXIA AiSAQ software makes it possible to meet these demands efficiently, enabling large-scale generative AI without being constrained by limited memory resources. By open-sourcing KIOXIA AiSAQ software, the company is advancing SSD-centric architectures and supporting broader adoption of scalable AI systems. 'With the latest version of KIOXIA AiSAQ software, we're giving developers and system architects the tools to fine-tune both performance and capacity,' said Neville Ichhaporia, senior vice president and general manager of the SSD business unit at KIOXIA America, Inc. 'This level of flexibility is critical to building scalable, RAG systems – powered by SSD storage. By open-sourcing our technology, we're reinforcing our commitment to the AI community with solutions that are both powerful and accessible to everyone."
