TWO popular aifryers that are sold in a number of major stores have been recalled after warnings they could set on fire.
Customers who have one of two models of the Tower airfryer are being told to urgently get in touch with the company.

An urgent warning has been issued to people with two popular airfryers

The products were made between January 2022 and April 2023.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards warned the airfryers could overheat and go up in flames while being used.
Those who have one of the affected airfryers have been told to stop using them immediately and unplug the devices.
The popular devices are sold by companies including Argos, B&M Bargains, Poundland, Robert Dyas and Tesco.
The affected models include the T17129L Tower Vortx 8L Air Fryer and T17129 Tower Vortx 8L Air Fryer.
The warning comes after four other airfryers were recalled last week.
They include the T17023 Tower 2.2Ltr Manual Air Fryer, T17061BLK Tower 4Ltr Manual Air Fryer, T17067 Tower 4Ltr Digital Air Fryer and T17087 Tower 2Ltr Compact Manual Air Fryer.

While the mum and dad were pronounced dead at the scene, the toddler was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. He succumbed to his wounds soon after. A video showing Paxton playing around the plane just three days before the crash has now gone viral. The clip, posted by mum Jestene, shows the toddler riding a tricycle around the doomed plane, which appears to be parked inside a hangar. Jestene wrote in the captions: "Imagine growing up riding your bike around your dad's plane before your dad flies you and your mom wherever you want." Data from FlightAware shows that the plane travelled between McMinnville, Oregon, Fresno, California, and Nampa, Idaho one week before the crash. The family's loved ones called the loss 'immeasurable", saying, 'to say we miss them doesn't come close.' Jeremiah LeRoy, Brandon's cousin, told KTVB in a statement: 'Together, they were building a life marked by love, purpose, and promise. 'Though their time here was far too short, their legacy is everlasting — a legacy of love, courage, joy, and selfless service. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said: "The preliminary information we have is the plane crashed under unknown circumstances." It added: "Once on site, the investigator will begin the process of documenting the scene and examining the aircraft. "The aircraft will then be recovered to a secure facility for further evaluation."

Local authorities decide who to offer support to and what form it will take. Leicestershire County Council is issuing hard-up households electronic fuel vouchers worth up to £98. Single households are eligible for vouchers worth £56 while family households can get £98. The e-vouchers can be redeemed at PayPoint stations. No direct applications can be made, however, and you must be referred from a professional support worker or agency. This can include a registered charity, a school, food bank or care organisation. Leicestershire County Council says the current round of HSF will close to new referrals tomorrow (August 4), so households have just hours left to speak with a professional and get help applying. Before doing this, you'll need to have met eligibility criteria though. This includes proving you're struggling to heat your home or having fallen behind on bills, while being a Leicestershire resident. Vlad the Impaler, also known as Vlad Dracula, was a notorious medieval tyrant who ruled over Wallachia, a region in modern-day Romania. Vlad Dracula not only lends his name to the character, but the pair were also rulers over Transylvania, a region in Romania, and are known for their acts of cruelty. For centuries, it was believed the prince was buried in his homeland in the churches of Comana or Snagov near Bucharest after he was killed in battle at the end of December 1476. But excavations there have failed to find his remains, fuelling speculation about his death and final resting place. The team of researchers identified a tomb in Italy they believe could belong to the ruler. Historians have long speculated that he did not die in battle as was widely believed but fled to Naples with his daughter. After 10 years of research, the experts believe his tomb is at the Church of Santa Maria La Nova, in the Turbolo Chapel, in Naples. Professor Giuseppe Reale, the director of Santa Maria La Nova, told The Sun how the tomb features symbols related to Vlad and his ancestry - and they have finally translated mystery inscriptions. The inscription includes two key words - "Blad" - interpreted as a variant of the name "Vlad" - and "Balcani," the region where Vlad ruled in the 15th century. 7 The letters B and V had the same sound in the Neopolitan dialect and were often interchangeable. The marble tomb is decorated with a knight's helmet crowned with a dragon's head - a symbol of the Order of the Dragon, a medieval society of which Vlad was a member, according to historians. Professor Reale said the text and symbols appears to be a "funeral eulogy" - and it mentions a possible date of death in November 20, 1480. The exact circumstances of Vlad's death have never been clear but it was previously thought he died in around 1477. Two sphinx-like statues also sit around the tomb - which researchers believe allude to the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes and Vlad's Romanian epithet - Țepeș. Bram Stoker himself - the author of Dracula - also lived in Naples in 1875 with his father. Born in 1431 in Transylvania, a mountainous region in modern-day Romania, Vlad the Impaler was ruler of Wallachia three times between 1448 and his death in 1476. He is considered one of the most important rulers - and a national hero of Romania. Until five years ago, Poienari Castle in Curtea de Arge, Romania, had been left untouched for decades. Cornel Popescu, manager of Arges County Museum, said Poienari is the "true" castle of ruthless Vlad. The "impenetrable" fortress - perched on an 800m cliff - was home to the notorious ruler. Many believe Bran Castle - a national monument in Transylvania - is the castle that inspired the fictional bloodsucker. But Popescu said it has "no connection" to Vlad - a warlord with a taste for blood. He told The Sun: "Vlad the Impaler-Dracula reigned three times. "During the second reign, he built up only three monuments - the Comana and Snagov monasteries and Poienari castle. "Bran castle has no connection with Vlad the Impaler. He did not build that castle - it is only marketing for tourism. "The true castle of Vlad the Impaler is Poienari castle." Only accessible via 1,500 steps, Popescu said the Gothic fortress was never conquered by Vlad's enemies - despite several attempts. The fortress was rebuilt in 1459 when Vlad the Impaler used slaves to make bricks, cut stones and finish the construction in just a week.
