Watch: Who left the dog in the car? Viral video sparks outrage in Andheri West

Time of Indiaa day ago
In the middle of Mumbai's daily traffic struggles, a recent incident from Andheri West has drawn sharp reactions online– not just for the traffic disruption it caused, but for the strange sight it revealed.
A red hatchback, parked right in the centre of a busy road near Lokhandwala market, brought vehicles to a standstill. But what turned the situation into a talking point was what people saw through the car window: a husky, quietly seated in the driver's seat of the locked vehicle.
Video shared online shows dog inside parked car
The incident came to light after a video was posted on Instagram by local community page @andheriloca, where a person can be seen approaching the car and spotting the dog sitting alone inside.
The number plate of the vehicle was blurred in the clip, which quickly gained traction online.
The caption of the post read: 'Car parked right in the middle of Lokhandwala Main Market, causing major inconvenience. Shockingly, a pet dog was left sitting on the driver's seat. This kind of careless and irresponsible parking deserves the choicest of punishment.'
Owner's identity not confirmed yet
There was no sign of the car's owner at the location, and the identity of the person responsible for leaving the dog unattended remains unknown.

Netizens express concern over irresponsible parking
Several social media users criticised the vehicle owner for blocking traffic and leaving the pet locked inside. Many said the incident reflects a wider problem across Mumbai. One user wrote, 'Sadly, this is the state of the entire Mumbai. People just park anywhere, leaving very little space to drive. There's traffic everywhere from the last 1-2 years because of this.
No action is taken by the traffic police.'
Another advised concerned citizens to take action, commenting, 'Take a photo and upload it to the Mumbai Traffic App. The challan will be issued against the offence.'
Public questions decision to blur number plate
The decision to blur the vehicle's registration number also sparked debate. Several users said it defeated the purpose of documenting such violations. One person wrote, 'Why did you blur the car's registration number? No point making these videos then.
The irresponsible driver should have been reported to the traffic police.'
A separate comment read, 'The iconic Lokhandwala road, where you can learn the art of not following traffic rules, especially when it comes to blocking traffic. A real-life anti-parking game.'
No official response so far
At the time of writing, no formal complaint had been reported, and no official statement had been issued by the traffic department regarding the matter. The video continues to be shared across platforms, with users raising questions about public accountability, civic sense, and the safety of the pet left inside.

'Caste training since childhood': Viral video claims 'Indian' harassed 'black' man in Texas, demanding his ID

A video went viral claiming that an Indian man was harassing black man in a Texas neighborhood. Amid rising hatred against Indians in the US, a video went viral claiming that an Indian man harassed a black man and asked to see his ID in a Texas neighborhood. The identity of the men seen in the video was not established and it's not known when the altercation took place. Several users on TikTok and X shared the video calling out this kind of racism. In the video, apparently made by the black man, the other person could be seen coming out of his house and asking for his ID. The 'black' man, in turn, asked for the first person's ID. Both men agree to show their IDs to each other and also threaten each other to call the police. The 'black' man said it was his neighborhood and he was getting harassed in his area. "I know that this is not your house," the first person told the second person to which the second person said it was indeed not his house, but he was from the same neighborhood. 03:32 Russia Vs U.S Ocean Wars? "I don't get this -- even if the black guy is not from that neighborhood is there any issue with anyone walking on any public sidewalk in the US? What was the aim of the Indian dude?" another wrote. Some social media users came in defense of the first person and said the 'black man' was at fault by entering a protected neighborhood.

Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying: Charles Leclerc takes surprise pole, Oscar Piastri joins him on front row

Charles Leclerc (Image credit: Instagram) New faces have been joining the top 10 for the past few races, and during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, it was Fernando Alonso and his Aston Martin teammate Lance Stroll dominating in the top five. At one point in Q2, the two even held the top two positions. Eventually, it was Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc who claimed his first pole of the season. He will be joined by McLaren driver Oscar Piastri on the front row, with Lando Norris behind them in third position on the grid. Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying highlights Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has claimed five podiums so far and may be eyeing his first win of the season, as he will be starting Sunday's race from pole position. However, giving him close competition will be the usual duo — Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, both of whom finished on the podium last year. Speaking after his first pole of the year, Leclerc said, 'The whole qualifying was extremely difficult. It was difficult to get to Q2 and difficult to get to Q3. Then the conditions changed, I knew I had to do a clean lap to target third, and I can't believe it. Honestly, I have no words. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo It is probably one of the best pole positions I have had, as it is so unexpected.' Piastri added, 'The wind changed a lot, it sounds so pathetic blaming the wind but it switched around. It was difficult to judge in those conditions, maybe not the best execution. I was surprised we couldn't go quicker than that. Charles has been quick all weekend, and even this morning he was closer than expected. I wasn't expecting to be second to a Ferrari this weekend, but he's done a good job.' In fourth will be Mercedes driver George Russell. Two new faces in the top 10 are the Aston Martin drivers — Fernando Alonso in fifth and Lance Stroll in sixth. Kick Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto also put up a fantastic drive and finished seventh. In eighth position is Red Bull's Max Verstappen. He will be joined by his former teammate and current Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson. Another Racing Bulls driver, Isack Hadjar, took tenth position in Saturday's qualifying.
