Phil Mickelson shows true colours with fresh comments on Tiger Woods rivalry
LIV Golf maverick Phil Mickelson has tipped his hat off to PGA Tour icon Tiger Woods, hailing him as the finest golfer of all time. In an open conversation with YouTube sensation Grant Horvat, Mickelson, a titan on the PGA Tour, reminisced about their competition and underscored Tiger's overwhelming early career successes. "He owned me the first half of our careers," the esteemed Mickelson conceded. "His record against me head-to-head was dominant. It is now even when we play together. "Obviously, his record is his record. He's the greatest of all time," the 55 year old revealed. "I've seen him do things with a golf ball that I've never seen anyone else do. His play in 2000 was indescribable. He owned me in the early part of our careers, and the second part, I owned him. Our head-to-head record is, I believe, dead even." Throughout his illustrious career, Woods amassed an impressive array of victories including at prestigious venues like Pebble Beach and Bay Hill as well as major tournament triumphs at Masters, the US Open, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship, and not to mention, team success at the EMC World Cup. As per NBC Sports' data, up until 2020, out of the 38 rounds they played together, Woods bettered Mickelson's score 19 times, reports the Mirror US. On the flip side, Mickelson secured 15 victories, and in four instances, the pair finished level. Despite Mickelson's successes, Woods narrowly leads in total strokes, carding 2,653 against Mickelson's 2,678. When matched up, Woods had the upper hand in average score with 69.60 compared to Mickelson's 69.91, clinched more tournament victories with 10 against Mickelson's five and collectively finished a remarkable 20 strokes under par. Throughout his career, Mickelson has tallied up an impressive 45 PGA Tour wins, secured six major titles, and holds the title of oldest major champion in the annals of golf. His victory at the 2012 ATandT Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a "Tiger Slayer" driver was particularly striking, where he outshone Charlie Wi and left Woods trailing in 15th place. That notable day saw Mickelson pocketing £815,000 ($1.1 million) in prize money, whilst Woods collected a mere £75,000 ($102,000) by comparison. Mickelson may have hailed Woods as the greatest golfer ever, though Woods himself reserves that honour for Jack Nicklaus. Woods, who shares the record with Sam Snead for the most PGA Tour wins at 82, is just three major victories shy of Nicklaus' tally. Nonetheless, Woods steadfastly views Nicklaus as the true greatest golfer. Nicklaus stated that Bobby Jones was golf's preeminent player. He conceded that barring injuries, Woods could have become the unsurpassed champion. Jones is celebrated for achieving a Grand Slam within a calendar year, snagging the British Open, US Open, British Amateur, and US Amateur crowns. "We all have injuries, we all have different things in our lives which change things, and Tiger had his problems," Nicklaus said. "I feel bad for him about it, but it is what it is. He's still a great influence on the game of golf." Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have faced off on a number of occasions over the years Mickelson selected Woods, but Tiger called Jack Nicklaus GOAT (Image: Getty) Phil Mickelson called Tiger Woods the GOAT (Image: Getty)

My side hustle is so good it pays my mortgage EVERY month – if you shopped on Amazon Prime Day you need to hear about it
A WOMAN has claimed she made £18,000 in 12 months working just ONE hour a week thanks to her Amazon side hustle. Renata Rabuha, from the US, revealed how she uploads 30-60 second videos of the items she has bought from Amazon at home. 3 Renata Rabuha claimed that she pays her mortgage by the Amazon Influencer Program Credit: TikTok / @renatarabuha Hailing it as the 'easy side hustle no one is talking about', she said it's particularly perfect if you've snapped up numerous items on Prime Day. In a clip on her review videos and make your money back. 'Doing this pays my mortgage every single month and I never post the reviews to social media." She explained how Amazon pays her for making product review videos - but not the ones you see under the regular reviews. Renata added: 'This is totally different. 'Amazon has a program that literally anybody can join. 'It's not an invite—you can apply for it. Literally anybody can do it, and there is a two-step approval process. 'But once you're in, it is so simple. Literally anybody can do it. Most read in Fabulous 'What you do is take products you already have in your house, make a 30 to 60 second video, and post that video directly to Amazon. 'Those videos get shown on product listings. I earn cash by selling 'actual rubbish' on eBay - I flogged a freebie I found on the floor by a bin for £10, it's crazy Whenever somebody clicks on your video and watches it, you do get a commission. 'Last year, I made over $24,000 literally reviewing the stuff that I already had at home.' HOW SHE DOES IT Renata makes cash through the Amazon Influencer Program. This allows content creators to earn commissions by posting video reviews, unboxings and how-to clips. These videos appear directly on Amazon product listings, and if someone watches your video and makes a purchase, you earn a cut. Anyone can apply, and no invite is required, and you get paid per qualifying purchase, not just views. It's different from regular Amazon reviews you see, as the influencers get paid for their videos. To qualify, you typically need an active social media account (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook) and a moderate following, but no huge audience required. 3 She claims she made £18,000 in 12 months working just ONE hour a week thanks to her Amazon side hustle Credit: TikTok / @renatarabuha You need to be producing 'quality, authentic content' on your page. The two-step verification process includes checking that you're a real content creator with an active presence and real engagement. If you pass the first step, you'll be asked to submit 3 sample videos reviewing items. Once approved, you'll get access to your own Amazon storefront and be able to post videos that appear on actual product listings. From there, you can start earning commissions on qualifying purchases from viewers who watch your videos. 3 UK influencers can recommend products to your audience, and then earn a commission Credit: Getty IS IT IN THE UK? The Amazon Influencer Program is available in the UK - but it is slightly different. You first need to apply via and create a storefront. Once this is done, you can create content and recommend products to your audience, and then earn a commission. The website states: 'There are multiple ways you can earn. 'You can monetise your social media content by sharing your storefront URL or through affiliate links. 'We may also surface the content you have posted to your storefront to Amazon shoppers, allowing you to gain more followers and earn from new customers.' To reliably publish shoppable videos and earn commissions, most UK creators join via the US program, using products that are also listed on Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income? MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle. The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income - but you need to know the rules. When you're employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don't have to. But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves. Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: "Caution should be taken if you're earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable. "The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products." You can make a gross income of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you'll usually need to pay tax. Stephen added: "You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax. "The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income." If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe - plus extra fees on top.

Irish singer invited to meet Palestinian Ambassador after he penned song for Gaza
Paddy Sherlock wrote 'We All Let It Happen Again And Again' in reference to a lack of concrete policies to stop the catastrophic levels of bloodshed in Gaza. Today the songwriter, who's released the track on YouTube, will meet with Palestinian ambassador Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid at her Dublin residence, where she's due to thank him for the song. Mr Sherlock, a Dubliner, has lived and performed in Paris for decades and hopes the song will 'become like a candle in the darkness for Palestinians.' Tens of thousands of lives have been lost in Gaza since 2023. And although Mr Sherlock feels the Irish Government has acted honourably in speaking against the Israeli actions in Gaza, he said there's still so much more to do. 'I was amazed to get the email from the Palestinian embassy,' Mr Sherlock said. 'The ambassador wants to thank me personally for the song. It means such a lot to me.' Mr Sherlock sang Dirty Old Town at the funeral of murdered Charlie Hebdo editor Stéphane Charbonnier in 2015. The editor was killed along with 11 others at the satirical magazine in Paris in an Islamic extremist terror attack. The singer utilised his voice during a traumatic time for Paris and he's again doing the same for Gaza. 'Watching what was happening in Gaza from the very beginning, I can't remember anything this devastating in my lifetime,' Mr Sherlock said. 'As a songwriter this is the best I can do - to write a song - to hope it goes viral and impacts enough people to make them sit up and do what they can to help make a change. 'If we all did something to help, if we all pressured our governments, emailed them, protested on the streets, took action, I believe we could make this stop.' ADVERTISEMENT He referred to the Labour Bill to attempt to stop the Central Bank from approving Israeli war bond sales, as being a stance the public should get behind. 'The public should be out on the streets about the Central Bank and about Shannon Airport,' he said, referring to claims some flights could be passing through Shannon to get to the warzone. Social Democrats' foreign affairs spokesperson, Patricia Stephenson, recently stated the EU anti-fraud watchdog, OLAF, should open a probe into the inspection of flights at Shannon, which she claimed could be aiding the Israeli bombardment of Gaza. 'I've been to the demos outside the Dáil and sometimes there's only 100 to 150 people out there on the street,' the singer said. 'We all need to be out there. There's no point hanging our heads in shame about our lack of action. We have to stand up for Palestinians and demand peace.'
