Lando Norris fastest again in final practice for Austrian Grand Prix
Lando Norris laid down a marker ahead of qualifying by finishing fastest in final practice for the Austrian Grand Prix.
Norris, who set the quickest time at the Red Bull Ring on Friday, was again the fastest man in the concluding running before qualifying.

Norris' best effort was enough to see off McLaren team-mate and championship rival Oscar Piastri, who holds a 22-point lead in the standings, by 0.118 seconds.

Max Verstappen finished third for Red Bull, two tenths behind Norris, and a place clear of Charles Leclerc.
Lewis Hamilton was fifth in the other Ferrari, 0.466 sec off the leading pace. George Russell, a winner last time out in Canada, took sixth spot.
Qualifying for Sunday's 11th round of the season gets under way at 1600 local time (1500 BST).

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has criticised the revamped Club World Cup, calling it the 'worst idea ever implemented in football'. In an interview with German newspaper Die Welt, published on Friday, Klopp said the tournament would put more strain on an already packed calendar for the players. The expanded format features a 32-team event held every four years during the pre-season, in the summers between major international tournaments. 'It's all about the game and not the surrounding events - and that's why the Club World Cup is the worst idea ever implemented in football in this regard,' he said. 'It's a pointless competition. Whoever wins it will be the worst winner of all time because they'll have played all summer and then gone straight back into the league. 'There are people who have never been involved in the day-to-day business of football and are now coming up with ideas.' Klopp also added his name to the chorus of voices highlighting that today's players are getting less and less time to rest, warning that adding another tournament was potentially dangerous for their health. 'It's too many games. I fear that next season we will see injuries like never before. If not then, they'll come during or after the Club World Cup,' the German said. 'There's no real recovery for those involved, neither physically nor mentally.' Klopp, who ended his highly successful nine-year stint with Liverpool in 2024, is now head of global soccer for Red Bull, owners of several clubs including RB Leipzig and New York Red Bulls. Klopp was also asked if he would like to coach again, but said, 'I don't want that anymore. I have a job now that fulfils me and is also intense. I don't sleep in the morning and I don't go to bed later at night, but I can organise my work much better.'

Two years on from winning the competition for the first time since 1984, England are preparing for another final having narrowly avoided a shock group-stage exit. 'We all set out with one objective, and that was to try and win it again. 'It's obviously easier said than done, but I wanted the lads to have the confidence and belief that we could do that. 'We tried to leave all of the hope at St George's (Park) and come out here with belief and I think that the players have got a great spirit about them. 'I think they really are together, they're committed to what they're trying to do and I'm very lucky as a coach, along with the rest of the staff, to work with these players.' England overcame tough opposition and stifling heat in Slovakia to reach a second successive Euro Under-21s final. Harvey Elliott smashed them ahead and, having been rocked by Noah Ohio levelling from distance, the Liverpool midfielder slalomed through to spectacularly seal a 2-1 semi-final triumph.

VIKTOR GYOKERES has been given more time off as Sporting try to resolve his future. The Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal target has had a standoff with the Portuguese side over his selling price. 2 Sweden striker Gyokeres is at war with president Frederico Varandas and warned he will not return for the start of pre-season training on Tuesday. But Sporting have told Gyokeres he can come back on July 7, giving Prem suitors the chance to make a move. Gyokeres, 27, claims Sporting have gone back on a gentleman's agreement to sell him at a price well below his £85million release clause. Sporting, who have lined up Colombia star Luis Suarez of Almeria as Gyokeres' replacement, want at least £65million for their lethal No 9. And Arsenal's opening gambit was a good £10million below that — leaving the door open for others. Gyokeres favours a move to the Gunners and their lack of progress with supposed No 1 target Benjamin Sesko, 22, offers him hope. RB Leipzig are yet to receive any bid for Sesko, who scored 21 goals across 45 games in all competitions last season.
