The drive home for the listeners will never be the same, as Selbeyonce resigned from the station after 13 years.
During her tenure on the show, she's become one of the most decorated radio jocks on the radio station.

Drum recently reported that the star had reprised her role as herself on the country's top show, Uzalo. When we spoke with her, she mentioned that she was currently on set. Nevertheless, she took a moment to discuss what lies ahead for her.
She says after more than a decade with the show, she has decided to step out and figure out what's next for her. She hints at a new journey that she is excited to embrace.
'It's been 13 years. I had resigned at the beginning of the month. I wanted a bit of time to myself to reflect, and get myself ready for the new journey ahead. Ukhozi, the SABC and myself are good. We are awesome,' she explains.

Oklahoma City radio DJ retires after 26 years on KJ103
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — She's the voice of your morning drive, a staple in Oklahoma City radio for a quarter century. 'Janet' from KJ103 will sign off the airwaves for the last time Monday. She is retiring from radio. Janet has been on the radio for 26 years; often a dose of real talk first thing in the morning, honest, hilarious; she is the heart and soul of the famous trio 'TJ, Janet, and J-Rod.' Dolly Parton's first Nashville hotel set to open in 2026 'She's the filter of our show,' TJ said. 'Like we don't do anything without running it through the Janet filter because she's just got so much more of a voice of reason than we have.' 'She will tell you her opinion,' said J-Rod. 'That's awesome because most people don't. They bottle up, and they sit on it and they stew, and she's like, she'll tell you. That's what I love the most.' These three DJs have been together since 2003, an incredible accomplishment in a fickle industry. 'It's surprising in radio for a team to be together this long. Shows are together for that long, but usually one person leaves or whatever. But for us to be together as long as we have, gosh, it's more than I ever could ask for in radio,' said TJ. KJ103 is her first and last radio job. She will miss her partners, the concerts, the summer fest broadcasts, and she will miss the listeners. Oklahomans have shown her love and grace for so many years. 'I think that's one of the things I really appreciate about our listeners. They have always allowed me to to say what I was going to say, even if they didn't agree with me,' Janet said. 'One of our listeners said recently, 'Thank you for giving me a safe place to always voice my opinion.' And I thought, I was able to give them a safe space because that's what they always gave to me.' That bond, between listener and DJ, prompted Janet to share her own health crisis publicly several years ago. In 2018, she was diagnosed with skin cancer on her face. Even though the treatment was temporarily disfiguring, Janet shared everything with her fans. 'People are looking at me like I'm a freak,' Oklahoma DJ tears up about skin cancer scare Many Oklahomans got their own skin cancer check-up because she was so forthcoming with her journey. 'I think that is really one of the things that made people say, 'Wow, she's just like us.' You're willing to be so open and be seen on TV with all that that's going on. It was hideous. I see it now, and I'm like, why did I not hide forever?' Janet remembers. 'I really did that to show other people who were going through that same reconstruction that, hey, it's okay. It's okay. But the love and support I got. It was awesome and I didn't expect to receive that in return. That was quite a blessing.' She is retiring from radio to pursue a new career as a clinical mental health counselor, specializing in first-responder trauma. 'My husband and my son are first responders, and so I know the struggle that comes with working tough calls,' Janet said. 'My husband's been a firefighter for 18 years, and so I've witnessed that. I love radio. I do. I love radio, but I love first responders a little more.' KJ103 will announce Janet's replacement soon. In the meantime, she will sign off with gratitude for two decades of growth and laughter, hoards of special moments, inside jokes and treasured memories. We are all lucky to have had the chance to listen in for so long. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

‘Get well, daddy': Here's why David Beckham was just seen in the hospital
On the mend. David Beckham fans may have been a tad concerned Friday when his wife Victoria posted a reel of him in a hospital bed. The ex-Spice Girl's caption: 'Get well, daddy, with no explanation. Turns out what landed him there wasn't that serious: Beckham underwent a procedure to fix an old injury. Surgeons had to remove a screw that had been placed in the retired soccer star's right arm after a fall that broke his wrist during a game between England and South Africa back in 2003, The Sun reports. The British outlet posted a clip of the painful run-in with Thabang Molefe four minutes into the second half. The screw was apparently intended to dissolve over time, but did not, causing the father of four considerable discomfort through the years. In a followup video, Victoria, 51, posted a video of her 50-year-old hubby tending to their garden at their Costwolds compound in the U.K., as per People magazine. 'Overperforming on the cucumber front, Sir David!!!' read the designer's text over screen, referring to the knight to be's impending title. The Inter Miami co-owner was well enough by Sunday to attend the FIFA Club World Cup game vs. his old team, Paris Saint-Germain, in Atlanta. On Instagram, Becks shared pics from the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium sporting a large bandage. 'It's fine. It's an old injury that needed surgery,' he said in an interview with a reporter before the match-up. 'It's all good.'

EYES OF WAKANDA Teaser Promises Hidden Histories and an Interesting New MCU Story — GeekTyrant
Marvel has released a new teaser for Eyes of Wakanda , and it makes one thing clear… there's a lot more to Wakanda's legacy than we've seen so far. The animated series dives deep into Wakandan history. Each episode plays out as its own standalone story, spanning different eras and corners of the world, as elite Wakandan warriors retrieve stolen Vibranium from enemies who have no idea what they're messing with. It's a spiritual cousin to Black Panther, but with a global, time-hopping twist. Eyes of Wakanda 'follows the adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zaraze, and this is their story.' The teaser leans into mystery and momentum, showing glimpses of new characters, intense battles, and locations far from the borders of Wakanda. A voiceover teases that 'many secrets' will be uncovered, which sets the tone for something more expansive and mythic than fans may be expecting. Ryan Coogler, the creative force behind Black Panther and Wakanda Forever , is back in the mix as executive producer, bringing along key collaborators like Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian. Head of streaming, television, and animation for Marvel Studios, Brad Winderbaum shared some insight on the series, syaing: ' Eyes of Wakanda , more than any other show, we're doing in animation, ties directly into the MCU. This is a story about Wakandan history ... It's both about the history of Wakanda, but it also expands into the greater MCU at different time periods. So if you're a fan of the movies, I think this show's going to be a real treat.' The voice cast includes an impressive mix of talent: Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Anika Noni Rose, and Steve Toussaint, among others. With Eyes of Wakanda , Marvel is looking to explore untold history, confront stolen legacies, and expand its world in a fresh, animated direction. The series is set to debut on Disney+ on August 27, 2025.
