Kazma secured third place with a 113-96 win over Sulaibikhat in the consolation match.
With this triumph, the "Whites" completed a remarkable domestic double, having also won the league title, further cementing their recent dominance across local basketball competitions.
Historically, Qadsia holds the record for the most Basketball Cup titles with 26, followed by Kuwait Club (17), Al-Arabi (9), Kazma (3), Al-Jahra (2), and Al-Sahel and Al-Nasr with one title each.
The final was attended by the President of the Basketball Association, Dhari Barjas, members of the Association's Board of Directors, presidents and officials from both Kuwait and Qadsia Clubs, and the President of the Qatar Basketball Association, Mohammed Al-Mughaseeb, who took part in crowning the Kuwait Club with the trophy.
Association Secretary-General Thamer Al-Shanfa expressed his gratitude to all the working committees for their contributions throughout the season, emphasizing that their collective efforts ensured the overall success of the competitions.
Al-Shanfa also congratulated all teams that captured titles across various age categories and the senior division, applauding the season's high level of play. He added that the Association will begin preparations for the next season with a focus on addressing current shortcomings and continuing the organizational and technical advancement of Kuwaiti basketball.

Al-Arabi lines up UAE friendlies ahead of crucial AFC clash
KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Al-Arabi is scheduled to play two friendly matches against UAE sides Hatta and Baniyas on July 31 and August 6, respectively, as part of its training camp in Abu Dhabi, which runs until August 8. The club is ramping up preparations for a crucial AFC Challenge Cup playoff match against Maldives' Maziya Sports on August 12. The game, which will determine a spot in the group stage, is set to take place at the Maldives National Football Stadium at 3:00 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, reports from Iraqi media suggest that Baghdad-based powerhouse Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya (Air Force Club) has shown serious interest in signing Al-Arabi and Kuwait national team player Bandar Al-Salamah. An initial inquiry has been made, and the club has reportedly set a condition for preliminary approval before engaging in formal negotiations. If the deal materializes, Al-Salamah would become the first Kuwaiti footballer in the history of the Iraqi Premier League. Currently, Al-Salamah is absent from Al-Arabi's training camp as he continues a rehabilitation and treatment program in Dubai following a successful knee-cleaning procedure and protective support installation performed earlier this month in Kuwait. If the transfer goes through, Al-Salamah will be the second player to leave Al-Arabi this season, after defender Hassan Hamdan joined Jordanian club Al-Ahli earlier in July. Al-Arabi's Portuguese head coach Marco Alves has intensified training in anticipation of the Maziya match. Players recently completed morning workouts at the camp's fitness center, followed by evening sessions on the field. Kuwait Club continues its daily training under Montenegrin coach Nebojsa Jovovic in preparation for the 2024-25 Zain Premier League season, which kicks off on September 12. The team will soon depart for a 20-day training camp in Prague, Czech Republic, which will include four friendly matches. In the domestic transfer market, Qadsia and Kuwait national team defender Yousef Al-Haqqan is reportedly close to joining Salmiya for the upcoming season. Salmiya's training sessions have already seen the arrival of new Jordanian signing Hossam Abu Dhahab. In a related development, former Salmiya head coach Ante Miša bid farewell to players before the start of a recent training session.

Shabib Al-Khaldi cleared to rejoin training after doping ban reduced
KUWAIT CITY, July 24: The Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency has reduced the suspension of Kazma and Kuwait national team player Shabib Al-Khaldi, allowing him to resume training with his club starting August 25. Initially banned for two years starting February 26, 2024, the sanction was imposed after Al-Khaldi refused to undergo a doping test during the Super Cup final between Kazma and Kuwait Club in January. The Arab Club delegation departed today for the UAE to begin their second phase of preseason training, which runs until August 8. The camp includes two friendly matches against Hatta and Baniyas before the team travels to the Maldives for a crucial AFC Challenge League playoff against Maziya Sports Club on August 12. The team is led by Portuguese coach Marco Alves and recently completed its first training phase last week, with most players in attendance. Arabi has bolstered its squad with two new foreign signings—French-Guinean midfielder Hassimi Fadiga and Ugandan striker Kenneth Semakula—joining existing Nigerian imports Ayano Iwuala and Christopher John. The club is also negotiating to sign a fifth foreign player. Local additions include Hamed Al-Harbi and Aziz Nassari. Assistant coaches Ahmad Hael and Kenneth Semakula are expected to join the camp today or tomorrow. Meanwhile, sources suggest that former Kuwait Club midfielder Talal Al-Fadhel is close to joining Arabi after his release from the club. According to Iraqi media reports, Qadsiya's Rashid Al-Dossari and Arabi's Bandar Al-Salama have drawn interest from multiple Iraqi clubs for potential transfers in the upcoming season. Preseason training kicks off tomorrow for Salmiya, Fahaheel, and Nasr as they prepare for the new 2024-2025 Zain Premier League season, which begins on September 12. Other teams, including Arabi, Qadisiya, Kuwait Club, Kazma, and Yarmouk, have already started training earlier this month.
