
Stolen Calgary jewellery found for sale in Sherwood Park; 3 arrested
According to Mounties, a worker recognized the trio on July 9 from an industry bulletin about the items, which had been stolen in Calgary three days earlier.
All three were arrested and face multiple charges.
They were released and are due to appear in court in Sherwood Park on Aug. 13.
Police say a 'large quantity' of stolen items was recovered.

Montreal police investigating a suspicious death on Lacordaire Boulevard
Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a suspicious death that occurred Sunday morning. A 911 call at around 4 a.m. alerted emergency services to a man lying unconscious on Lacordaire Boulevard, near the intersection with Jarry Street, in the Saint-Léonard borough. 'When police arrived at the scene, they located a man with an upper body wound, possibly caused by a sharp object. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,' said SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture. The victim's identity has not been released at this time. 'The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently unknown,' said the SPVM spokesperson. 'A large security perimeter has been established. Investigators (from the SPVM) are on their way to the scene,' added Couture, one hour after the gruesome discovery. A section of Lacordaire Boulevard was closed in both directions near Jarry Street. The SPVM investigation is ongoing.

Montreal police searching for missing 13-year-old girl
Social Sharing Montreal police are asking the public for help in locating a 13-year-old girl after she was reported missing. Anna Kwale-Yawange was last seen Saturday at around 9 p.m. at her home in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, according to police. Their news release indicates she is a Black girl with brown eyes and black hair. She speaks French and was wearing black leggings and a white shirt at the time she was reported missing. Police say Kwale-Yawange stands five feet five inches tall and travels on foot and by bus.

Car crashes into pole in Flemingdon Park, 3 people injured
Emergency services are on the scene of a crash in Flemingdon Park on Saturday, June 26, 2025. (Simon Sheehan/CP24) Three people have been taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a pole in Flemingdon Park Saturday night. Emergency services responded to a collision in the area of Linkwood Lane and Shady Golfway, east of the Don Valley Parkway, at 9:14 p.m. Toronto police say there were four occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One man sustained life-threatening injuries, while another two suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police say. All were taken to the hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
