Alex Jones' 'comfy and flattering' Boden trousers are 'selling like hot cakes'
Alex Jones has once again found the perfect in-between of comfort and style with her latest on-screen look– and it's already causing a stir among fans. Stepping out on The One Show, the presenter opted for a bold but surprisingly wearable pair of sunshine-yellow trousers from Boden, and viewers must have been quick to note them because Boden says they're "selling like hot cakes"
The Primrose Patch Pocket Trousers in the shade Golden Rye, £90, have been dubbed 'comfy and flattering' by shoppers, who are keen to pick them up in multiple colourways.
It's easy to see why. With their relaxed, straight-leg silhouette and structured patch pockets, the trousers are both laid-back and smart. The high waist gives shape, while the breathable cotton blend makes them ideal for warm weather. Alex paired them with a cropped, dark-wash denim jacket that brings a clever balance to the bold hue. Her jacket is believed to be a past-season Mango buy, but the new season version, complete with boxy cut and silver buttons, is almost identical and still in stock for £49.99 in plenty of sizes.
While sunshine shades can sometimes be intimidating, Alex shows how a strong colour choice can anchor an otherwise simple outfit. Her choice to keep the rest of the look pared-back (minimal accessories and fresh make-up) is what makes the trousers pop rather than overwhelm. We do love how she added a bit more flair to the outfit by accessorizing with a killer pair of leopard print heels – the perfect print to flatter the golden yellow shade of the trousers.
With a price tag of £90 and sizes selling fast, it's clear that Alex's influence extends well beyond the TV sofa. Plus, if you act fast, you can get 15% off the trousers by using the discount code W7CX, which works on new styles on Boden's website. That brings Alex's buy down to a slightly more reasonable £76.50.
Elsewhere in outfit news from our favourite presenters, Rochelle Humes stepped out on Wednesday morning's This Morning show wearing a khaki peplum top with a suede midi skirt and some brown open-toe mules. A neutral colour palette has become a staple of Rochelle's signature look, and her latest outfit was no exception.
We've hunted down her top as the Khaki Sleeveless Tie Back Corset Top from high-street favourite River Island. It also comes in brown and white, both of which would effortlessly slot into Rochelle's wardrobe.

Strictly Come Dancing 'signs up Doctor Who star' as rehearsals begin
Doctor Who star Alex Kingston is the latest celebrity to be rumoured to have signed up to star in Strictly Come Dancing as rehearsals have started to commence Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston has reportedly signed up to join this year's line-up of Strictly Come Dancing. According to reports, the highly acclaimed actress, 62, will join reality TV star Dani Dyer, former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, Apprentice star Thomas Skinner and Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis. Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah, presenter Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison, who made her name on the back of Geordie Shore, are also rumoured to take part. As yet the BBC have not confirmed the official celebrity line-up. This comes after Sharon Osbourne breaks down in tears at Ozzy's funeral in heartbreaking scenes. A TV insider told The Sun: "She's a real talent and will add a lot, it's always exciting to have a prestigious actress on the cast." They added: "It's the first time Alex has done a reality show of any kind, but she's a huge fan of the show and couldn't resist the opportunity." The Mirror has reached out to Strictly Come Dancing for comment. Alex became a firm favourite of Doctor Who fans after landing the role of River Song and her character was part of David Tenant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi's stints on the sci-fi show. Her TV career has spanned many years as she has starred in US medical drama ER, period dramas The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders, Arrow and A Discovery of Witches. Alex has made no secret of her love of the show and expressed that she would love to take part, similar to that of Sarah Hadland. In 2019, Alex said: "Sarah Hadland and I talked about how much we'd like to do Strictly Come Dancing. Then I discovered she's a trained ballet dancer. 'Hang on a minute! That's not fair!' So, I can't do it on a season when she is on it!" Another star that has signed up to the BBC show is model Ellie Goldstein who plans to change the perspective of people with Down's Syndrome. Ellie has been a model since the age of 14 years old and has made history by landing the cover of Vogue and inspiring a Barbie doll. In an interview with Metro, she explained: "People like me lead to change slowly in the industry.' 'People need to know about me and my condition. We need more disability representation out there." Lead judge Shirley Ballas has expressed her excitement for the return of the show this year. While on This Morning, she said: "We've got a cast, I know I say it every year, but we've got the cast of all casts. It's gonna be absolutely off the charts." Shirley will be joined by fan favourites Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.
