Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will be located at La Mer, adjacent to the upcoming Gran Melia Dubai hotel and will overlook the Port de La Mer marina.
The space promises to feature a sleek pool with day beds and a resident DJ playing throughout the day. There will also be a lounge and bar overlooking the sea as well as access to the private beach.
If you're spending the day there, you can also enjoy Zuma's creative mixed drinks and an izakaya menu, which we're hoping will be similar to the offering at Zuma Dubai. Mini miso black cods perhaps?

You'll be able to dig into handmade pastas, wood-fired specialities and of course, a huge selection of fresh seafood.

Expect 1930s Shanghai glamour at this fine dining spot. Sitting pretty on the 360-degree rooftop at the Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah, the restaurant will be an impressive sight when it opens.
First launching in London in 2015, the restaurant is set to offer a cosmopolitan feel as well as exceptional Chinese gourmet dishes.
Cazibeli
Taking inspiration from the Turkish sofra, the restaurant will be all about communal dining and a selection of traditional flavours.
Decorated with some incredible Arabic decor and scented with oud, you'll be able to watch on into the show kitchen and watch your dinner being put together.
Rubia Gallega
The Spanish steakhouse is set to be a sizzling addition to the hotel and is known for its premium Galician beef.
From the famed txuleton steak to traditional tapas and a thoughtfully curated grape list, you'll be treated to a real flavour of northern Spain.

Major health retailer with 700 stores to shut another branch as closing down sale launched

It is by no means all bad news for the retailer. Read more about why below... CLOSING TIME Major health retailer with 700 stores to shut another branch as closing down sale launched Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MAJOR health retailer with more than 700 branches is shutting another store in days as a closing down sale is launched. Holland and Barrett is pulling down the shutters on the shop in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Hartlepool. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Holland and Barrett is closing a branch in Hartlepool this week Credit: Getty The branch will open for the last time on Wednesday, August 6, reports the Hartlepool Mail. Stock has also reportedly been reduced by up to 75% off, with shoppers able to get some major bargains. A spokesperson for Holland & Barrett told the Hartlepool Mail: 'As part of Holland & Barrett's £70m investment in the transformation of its stores, technology and new product development, we are continually reviewing our locations to provide our customers the very best health and wellness products and advice. "This includes opening new stores, consolidating some smaller stores into one larger store, and in some instances, closing stores where there is no longer strong customer demand." It comes after closing down signs were spotted at another Holland and Barrett branch in Inverness, Scotland, in June. No exact closure date for the branch was revealed, with shoppers signposted to the health retailer's website. A store in Henley also relocated earlier this year. However, it is far from all bad news for Holland and Barrett as it recently toasted positive financial results. It ended the financial year up to September 30, 2024, with 10% year-on-year sales growth and gross profit totalling £524.2million. This was the second year running of double-digit growth as it looks to open more stores globally. Britain's retail apocalypse: why your favourite stores KEEP closing down It plans to open 36 new stores across its estate as well as freshen up 320 existing branches. The retailer also has plans to launch more concessions across the UK and Ireland, Netherlands and Belgium. Its own-label range will also be expanded by 400 products, taking the total to 1,000. Alex Gourlay, executive chair of Holland and Barrett, said: "Our retail performance continues to outperform the UK and Netherlands high streets and compares strongly against other European countries. "We are energised by the momentum we've built and excited for the opportunities ahead. "I could not be happier with the ongoing performance of the business or prouder of our colleagues who have been at the heart of delivering this strong growth." HIGH STREET STRUGGLES The high street has majorly struggled in recent years due to a combination of factors. Shoppers are buying much more of their products online, while retailers have faced higher rental, wage and energy costs. The Centre for Retail Research says the sector has been going through a "permacrisis" since the 2008 financial crash. Figures from the Centre show 34 retail companies operating multiple stores stopped trading in 2024, leading to the closure of 7,537 shops. Businesses have cautioned more closures are to be expected this year as well due to the hike to employer NICs and staff wages. The rate of employer NICs was hiked from 13.8% to 15% and the threshold at which they are paid lowered from £9,100 to £5,000 in April. The national minimum wage was also increased by up to £12.21 a hour. Some big names have already announced mass store closures in 2025, including Poundland, Hobbycraft and The Original Factory Shop. RETAIL PAIN IN 2025 The British Retail Consortium predicted that the Treasury's hike to employer NICs will cost the retail sector £2.3billion. Research by the British Chambers of Commerce showed that more than half of companies planned to raise prices by early April. A survey of more than 4,800 firms also found that 55% expect prices to increase in the next three months, up from 39% in a similar poll conducted in the latter half of 2024. Three-quarters of companies cited the cost of employing people as their primary financial pressure. The Centre for Retail Research (CRR) has also warned that around 17,350 retail sites are expected to shut down this year. It comes on the back of a tough 2024 when 13,000 shops closed their doors for good, already a 28% increase on the previous year. Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the CRR said: "The results for 2024 show that although the outcomes for store closures overall were not as poor as in either 2020 or 2022, they are still disconcerting, with worse set to come in 2025." Professor Bamfield has also warned of a bleak outlook for 2025, predicting that as many as 202,000 jobs could be lost in the sector. "By increasing both the costs of running stores and the costs on each consumer's household it is highly likely that we will see retail job losses eclipse the height of the pandemic in 2020." Welsh Labour MP Chris Bryant says he was sexually abused by theatre boss as a teenager

Welsh Labour MP Chris Bryant says he was sexually abused by theatre boss as a teenager The Labour minister said he was left feeling like a '16-year-old whore' by Michael Croft, the head of the prestigious National Youth Theatre Labour Minister Chris Bryant has recounted how he was sexually abused by the disgraced founder of the National Youth Theatre (Image: Visionhaus/Getty Images) Sir Chris Bryant has revealed he was sexually abused as a teenager by the founder of the National Youth Theatre, Michael Croft. The Labour minister became emotional during an interview, describing how he felt like a "16-year-old whore" due to the actions of Mr Croft, who was at the helm of the esteemed drama group. ‌ In a conversation with the Sunday Times, Sir Chris Bryant recounted that Mr Croft, who died in 1986, would invite him for dinner every evening when he was part of the company in London during the summer of 1978, at the age of 16. ‌ One night, said Sir Chris, he returned from the toilet at Mr Croft's residence to find his host, who was four decades older than him, naked apart from a silk robe. ‌ The minster said the abuse left him feeling like a "16-year-old whore" (Image: PA) The MP for Rhondda and Ogmore disclosed that Mr Croft then propositioned him for sex, and he felt he had no choice but to comply, reports the Mirror. Ahead of the launch of his book 'A Life And A Half: The Unexpected Making Of A Politician', Sir Chris admitted: "I don't like telling this very much because I've not told it very often. ‌ "It was always the same Italian in King's Cross. He would eat and drink, I would eat, then he would theoretically give me a lift home, except I always ended up at his house." For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here Sir Chris stated that Mr Croft never made another advance towards him, and they remained friends. As an ordained minister, he even agreed to officiate Mr Croft's funeral. However, he expressed anger over the abuse of power and confessed to internalising the shame. ‌ "He behaved absolutely appallingly, it's despicable," Sir Chris said. "Michael, in my case, managed to spot somebody who was gay at a time when nearly all homosexuality was illegal - certainly very frowned on - so presumed that people would keep a secret." He revealed that at least one colleague from his National Youth Theatre days was also abused by Mr Croft. ‌ The 63-year-old also disclosed he had been sexually assaulted by five male MPs during his time in Westminster, though he has not identified or reported them. "There was no system for doing so and I was frightened it would make me look bad," he explained. He noted that homophobia in Parliament had decreased during his 24 years as an MP. ‌ A statement on the National Youth Theatre website said: "We are grateful to Chris Bryant for disclosing to our team the historical abuse he suffered in the company in the 1970s. We are very sorry that this happened to him and to others who have previously shared with us their accounts of historic abuse by the same perpetrator. "As we set out in a public statement on the case in 2017, we stand in solidarity with all victims of abuse and encourage anyone who has experienced abuse, no matter how long ago, to speak to someone and access support. "In this case the perpetrator has been deceased since 1986, but all reports made to us will be dealt with in accordance with our robust and formalised safeguarding policy and practice. ‌ "While Chris writes he doesn't feel damaged by what happened, we recognise that being subjected to an abuse of power can have lasting consequences for many, in different ways. "Anyone getting in touch will be listened to and treated with care and respect by trained professionals, in line with our certified trauma-informed practice. "We are grateful to Chris for his support of our organisation today, and acknowledgement of how different a charity we are in 2025 to the one he encountered in the 1970s, with thorough safeguarding practices and policies in place." It's so comfortable to wear which is perfect for summer days and evenings. I really love the fact that it has pockets," penned a third. Is supermarket fashion the new high street? DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in: The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family. Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a 'strong growth in clothing' and M&S has earned the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street. Asda's clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury's clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year. So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful? Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it's good quality too - with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative. A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year. Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes. Meanwhile a fourth said: "Love this dress! Flatteringly flowy and cool and too nice to just be saved for holidays!" "Very comfortable to wear. May buy another one to put away for my holiday!' claimed a fifth Someone else added: "Fits perfectly. Lovely and soft, comfortable and flowy. Gorgeous pattern details. I call it my Lobster Dress."
