"He Drove Back Just To...": Bengaluru Auto Driver's Heartwarming Gesture Wins Internet
The OP, who is not a Bengaluru-native, said he was out on a solo date when the incident took place, which showed him the city can be generous as well.
"It's been almost 3 years since I moved to Bangalore, and today I randomly decided that I'd go out on a solo date started it off with the metro ride, got off at church street, had some good foo,d and from there thought I'd go go-karting," the OP wrote on the r/bangalore subreddit.
The user described taking an auto to Indiranagar, settling down with a coffee, and being entirely unaware that something important had gone missing.
"While I was having my coffee, the auto driver walked into the cafe and handed me my key bunch, which had my car keys, house keys and locker keys. I didn't even realise I had lost it. He drove back in traffic just to give my keys back. When I offered him some money, he didn't even accept it."
"Just wanted to share this 'cause I see many posts on this sub bashing auto drivers and how Bengaluru has been pretty harsh with outsiders. So just wanted to share my views as an outsider who feels pretty welcome here. Will be leaving the city soon, would definitely miss it. Namma Bengaluruuuuu."
As the post garnered good numbers, other social media users also chimed in with their responses about solo dates and their experiences with the city.

‘I was furious': Bengaluru auto-rickshaw driver interrupts ride to scroll through actor Sreeleela's Instagram, passenger shares angry post
A Bengaluru commuter shared a disturbing incident during what was supposed to be a regular auto-rickshaw ride. In a Reddit post, which is now doing rounds, the man shared that he had a nerve-wracking experience as the auto-rickshaw driver remained glued to his mobile phone the entire time. According to the user, he had booked the ride to get to work in time for an important call. 'The office is usually just a 10-minute ride from my place, so I figured I'd make it comfortably on time,' he wrote. But things quickly took a bizarre turn. 'As soon as I got into the auto, the driver briefly glanced at the map and then minimised it. I assumed he was familiar with the route. But to my surprise, he immediately opened Instagram and started scrolling—while driving with one hand,' the post read. The situation became even more alarming when the driver got distracted by actor Sreeleela's post. 'He actually slowed down the auto right in the middle of the main road to open her profile and scroll through her feed. I was furious and felt completely helpless,' the man said in his Reddit post. 'Can't They Keep Their Phones Down While Driving?' the man captioned the video. See the post here The post quickly gained traction, sparking debates about rider safety and the growing problem of screen addiction among drivers. 'Man, I've seen many auto walas just slow down and pull over suddenly to the road side, without any indicator, and I notice they're always looking at their phone. It's also a problem with guys on scootys as well. It's so frustrating when you're driving right behind them,' a user shared. 'Almost every single driver i have seen on road is on their phone. It is only the heavy traffic that is preventing too many accidents,' another user commented.

Two founders of Bengaluru firm arrested for duping Indore investors of Rs1.3 crore
Indore: Founder and co-founder of a Bengaluru-based company were arrested for allegedly duping four Indore residents of Rs 1.34 crore on pretext of investment. Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya said, "As per a complaint lodged by Murshid Khan, Kapil Thakur, Amit Narwar, and Rahul Chauhan at the Indore crime branch, founder of NOMOEX Technologies Pvt Ltd Abhishek Kumar Mahato and co-founder Anurag Kumar Jha lured them into investing large sums of money with promises of massive returns ranging from three to fifteen times the original amount within six to twelve months. " The victims transferred a total of Rs 1.34 crore to the company's account located in Bengaluru. The accused entered into separate agreements with each investor, assuring them of high returns within a year. However, after receiving the funds, Mahato and Jha stopped responding to calls and refused to return the money, violating the terms of the investment agreements. The crime branch, after investigation, found that the company used deceptive practices to collect investments from individuals under the pretence of multiplying their money in a short span. Based on the findings, an FIR was registered under sections 318(4), 316(5), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and both the accused were taken into custody. Following their arrest, Mahato and Jha were produced before Indore district court, which granted police remand till July 22. The crime branch said that further legal proceedings were underway to determine the extent of the fraud and identify other potential victims.

'Biglaw biter': Sidley Austin fires summer intern who started biting co-workers, HR representative
Sidley Austin reportedly terminated a summer intern as she started biting people in the Manhattan office. Global law firm Sidley Austin, the company where Barack Obama and Michelle Obama met for the first time, is at the center of a juicy Reddit gossip this week as the company had to fire a summer intern in its Manhattan office as she started biting people. Accounts and even a photo of a bite mark are doing the rounds with social media users lapping up every detail of how it started, how many people she bit altogether etc. Legal news site Above the Law reported the bizarre thing and named the intern 'Biglaw biter' as the identity of the person has not been disclosed. Even Sidley Austin did not confirm the incident either. The bites were not 'in an aggressive, 'we're beefing' way' – but rather, 'a faux-quirky manic pixie dream girl crossed with the Donner party vibe,' the outlet reported. 'Though I've seen pics of the results post-Biglaw Biter, and 'nibble' is probably too tame a word,' the article's author noted. 'It's unclear why so many people let this go before reporting the Biglaw Biter, but the rumor is she's otherwise personable and there was some reluctance to elevate the matter,' the report said. An X post claimed that her officemate started wearing long-sleeved shirts as she was getting bit. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it legal? How to get Internet without paying a subscription? Techno Mag Learn More Undo According to some insiders, by the time the intern was fired, her bite body count reached double digits. New York Post, however, cited an insider who said only five employed were bitten and everything else is an exaggeration. People who got bitten included other summer interns, associate lawyers and even an HR rep. According to a piece of gossip circulating, nobody was reporting the biting incident for some reason. "Separately, this girl also went to dinner with a group of partners and associates and ordered a $2000 bottle of wine, which also came up in her termination meeting as demonstration poor judgment," a screenshot on X claimed.
