UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich arrested again, held without bond
Miletich was booked into the Scott County (Iowa) jail Friday and is being held there, currently without bond, for his third operating while intoxicated offense – a felony.
In April, the 59-year-old Miletich pleaded guilty to a DWI charge from September 2023 and was given two years probation. Miletich also was ordered to complete a drunk driving education course.
In March, Miletich had another incident while driving with a revoked license and pled not guilty. That case still is pending.
In 2021, after his involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection attempt at the U.S. Capitol, the LFA fired him from its broadcast team. His involvement in MMA since then has been minimal – though he did take a politically charged fight against Mike Jackson in 2023. For that fight, he arrived at the press conference just hours after the arrest for which he just made the probation deal. He lost that fight when he didn't answer the bell in the third round.
Miletich first became known for becoming UFC welterweight champion and his Miletich Fighting Systems gym in Iowa that produced several UFC champions. But in recent years, the narrative around him shifted to focus on his right-wing conspiracy theory stances online and his multiple DUIs and regular run-ins with the law, typically involving intoxication allegations while driving.

Many fans and news outlets have speculated that the ban stems from Lesnar being named in the sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit against former WWE top executive Vince McMahon. Some very damning text messages that were allegedly from Lesnar were made public during the initial stages of the suit. It stands to reason that WWE might treat Lesnar as radioactive while the lawsuit is dealt with given the allegations against him. The controversy all started early in 2024 when former WWE employee Janel Grant alleged and shared evidence that she had been coerced into a sexual relationship with McMahon and later trafficked to Lesnar and former WWE executive John Laurinaitis between 2020 and 2021. Lesnar was subsequently removed from all upcoming WWE programming, all promotional materials and has seldom been mentioned by the company in a year-and-a-half. That said, it really isn't clear how Cormier - who is not a WWE-specific insider - would know whether Lesnar is banned from all of professional wrestling. It's a pretty big umbrella category that goes well beyond WWE or even its immediate rivals here in the United States. It's probably a good thing that Lesnar has been more focused on his daughter Mya's collegiate athletics career as a shot-put star. Drunk driver crashes vehicle into building in Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood
A man is facing charges after crashing a vehicle into a Fells Point building, according to police. Police said they were patrolling in the 400 block of South Broadway when they approached a man who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol as he attempted to get into his vehicle to drive. After entering the vehicle, the man was told multiple times to exit. Instead, the man put the vehicle in drive and attempted to flee the scene. The vehicle hit the curb, crossed into the southbound lane in the wrong direction, struck another curb, and then crashed into a building. Police removed the man from the vehicle and placed him under arrest. He was later taken to an area hospital for treatment before being discharged and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The man is currently facing multiple charges, including DWI, reckless driving, negligent driving, and attempting to elude police. Overnight on June 3, a truck slammed into an East Baltimore building, causing it to partially collapse. According to police, a 64-year-old man drove a pickup truck into the building at the corner of Federal Street and N. Patterson Park Avenue. A support structure was destroyed, causing the partial collapse. A day later, the rest of the building was torn down by the city. The owner of the building, Michael Davis, said it had been hit three times in the past five years. The first crash was caused by a drunk driver, and the second was caused by someone running a red light.

Jon Jones 'a little disappointed' with Dana White's concerns of UFC White House booking
Jon Jones was disappointed to hear Dana White show concern over booking him for the proposed UFC White House card. The UFC CEO made it known that he isn't sure he can trust the former heavyweight champion with headlining such a major event that could take place on the White House grounds on Independence Day in 2026. At the UFC 318 post-event news conference, White said he isn't sure Jones can be trusted not to get in trouble leading up to the event. "It's not even about him winning the belt," White told MMA Junkie and other reporters. "You know how I felt about him. You know I can't risk putting him in big positions in a big spot and have something go wrong – especially the White House card." Jones has given the promotion multiple headaches throughout his career. "Bones" refused to fight Chael Sonnen on short notice after Dan Henderson got injured, which prompted the cancellation of the entire UFC 151 card. Jones was stripped of the light heavyweight title ahead of UFC 187 after a hit-and-run accident. In the days ahead of UFC 200, Jones failed a pre-fight drug test, leading to his removal from the main event against Daniel Cormier on fight week. A year later, he made it to the cage to face Cormier, but later failed another drug test, causing his third-round stoppage to be overturned to a no contest. White announced Jones' intention to retire during a post-fight news conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. Jones would confirm the news shortly after, but more headlines soon followed. Jones was allegedly involved in another hit-and-run accident, one in which he was suspected of driving under the influence, and fled the scene after a car crash, leaving a woman behind in the passenger seat. He also allegedly threatened the life of a responding officer over the phone. The timing of everything has led many, including White, to publicly wonder if Jones' latest legal issue is why he decided to retire and relinquish the heavyweight title to interim champion Tom Aspinall. However, once president Donald Trump announced the idea of hosting a UFC event at the White House, Jones quickly changed his tune on fighting, stating his intention to return on that card. Initially, White seemed on board, stating his dream headliner for the event would be Jones vs. Aspinall. White's latest comments indicate hesitation to place Jones in such an important potential spot given his history, which prompted a reply on social media. "I heard the comments made at last night's press conference," Jones wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "While I was a little disappointed, I'm still in the UFC's drug testing pool, staying sharp, and continuing to train like a professional. I'll be ready for whatever comes next.
