RE&UP Accelerates Circular Textiles at Global Industry Events
In a defining week for sustainable fashion, RE&UP, a trailblazer in recycled polycotton solutions, took center stage at two premier international forums: the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen and the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels. Uniting innovation with impact, the company brought forward critical insights on next-gen materials, textile recycling, and the infrastructure required to scale circularity.
At the Global Fashion Summit, Andreas Dorner, General Manager at RE&UP, contributed to the Fibre Futures panel on the Ignite Stage, sharing deep insights into polycotton innovation. 'When it comes to polycotton, RE&UP is the go-to solution provider,' Dorner stated, reinforcing the company's expertise in tackling one of the industry's most complex blended fabrics.
Meanwhile, Ebru Özküçük Guler, Chief Sustainability Officer, moderated a high-impact session titled What is Next-Gen?, featuring speakers from the European Environment Agency and Fashion for Good. 'The shift to next-gen materials isn't just about innovation,' she emphasized, 'it's about building the systems to scale them responsibly.'
In Brussels, at the Textiles Recycling Expo, RE&UP's Marco Lucietti, Head of Global Marketing and Communications, joined a panel discussion on Scaling Recycled Content: Turning Ambition into Industry Reality. His insights tackled the need for robust infrastructure, policy alignment, and investment to turn promises into performance. 'The energy was high and the message was clear: it's time to turn circularity from a commitment into a capability,' Lucietti shared.
Across both events, RE&UP's message resonated strongly: innovation without scalability and accountability is not enough. From pioneering recycled polycotton applications to shaping circular infrastructure, RE&UP continues to turn bold ideas into transformative action.

Previous UP govts were only busy fuelling caste conflicts: Adityanath
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday alleged that the previous governments in Uttar Pradesh were too busy fueling caste-based conflicts, which left the youth of the state struggling with an identity crisis. Launching initiatives to promote entrepreneurship during a ceremony in Lucknow to mark World MSME Day, the CM said the past governments not only encouraged caste-based divisions in society but also ignored entrepreneurs. Adityanath inaugurated the 'Youth Adda' platform, launched the CM Yuva mobile app, and unveiled ODOP Common Facility Centre (CFC) projects worth Rs 18 crore for Bareilly and Moradabad. Addressing the gathering, he said before 2017, Uttar Pradesh was known for riots, mafia gangs and was one of the most unsafe states for 'daughters and traders'. Despite having come into existence in 1950, Uttar Pradesh never celebrated its Foundation Day until 2018, he said, adding, 'The previous governments were too busy dividing society along caste lines and serving their own families instead of working for the state's development. They ran the state based on family politics, where each district was controlled by a different mafia. As a result of this, people faced an identity crisis.' 'Our government does not discriminate on the basis of caste, region or language. We are committed to providing a platform to every talented youth,' he said. The CM Yuva mobile app will provide access to training, loans, and information about government schemes without bias, he said. The app, he added, will ensure that no young person needs to run from one government office to another, as everything will be available in one place digitally. The Chief Minister said UP now has over 96 lakh MSME units employing more than 2 crore people across communities. 'The government has provided a financial safety net of Rs 5 lakh and social security to these units. With a 14% share in the country's MSME sector, UP is now a leading state in this domain,' he claimed. 'The state's exports have grown from Rs 80,000 crore in 2017 to over Rs 2 lakh crore today. The per capita income has increased from Rs 46,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh, and the state's GDP has surged from Rs 12 lakh 75 thousand crore to Rs 31 lakh crore,' the CM added. He also announced the third edition of the International Trade Show from September 25 to 29 in Greater Noida. The event will serve as a global platform to showcase and promote UP's MSME products to international buyers. As many as 77 products from the state have received the GI tag, and work is underway on 75 new applications, he said. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with the Human Welfare Association to support artisans from all communities in protecting and promoting their products, the CM informed.

Pump and dump scam: Sebi says has raided many shell companies
The raids primarily involved 15-20 shell companies which were allegedly created by promoters of some listed companies to pump and dump their own shares. At least two listed agro-tech companies along with their promoters are said to be at the helm of the alleged network, sources had said. 'Sebi has seized several documents including company documents, rubber stamps. Preliminary assessment suggests the scam was at least Rs 300 crore, however more details would emerge once the seized documents are analysed,' a source was quoted by one such report. Generally, in cases of pump and dump schemes, Sebi issues an order against the entities. In in very few cases, Sebi also uses its search and seizure powers against the entities like in the current case. The pump and dump scam works in the following manner: promoters create shell companies and register them as proprietary traders which will buy and sell the company stocks later. In the past, there have many instances where Sebi has gone after promoters of small and mid-cap companies for manipulating their stocks. In a pump and dump scheme, entities related to the scamsters first start buying shares of own companies in large numbers to drive up the stock price and once the price has gone up significantly, it catches the attention of retail investors and the manipulators then exit the stock at a profit by selling the shares to gullible retail investors. In one such case the Sebi investigators have found that the stock price of a little known company rose from below Re 1 to Rs 40 in a span of less than a year and then the stock again fell back to about Rs 2-3. This happened despite there being any change in terms of business of the company or its earnings, clearly indicating a fraudulent scheme. The Sebi is also said to be monitoring some Telegram channels where these stocks are being advertised by non-Sebi registered analysts and is looking at whether these Telegram groups are also part of the manipulation scheme.

MP tourism eyes growth with roadshow in Kashi

Speaking on the occasion, Shukla said that MP stands as one of India's most diverse and culturally vibrant tourism destinations. With deep religious and tourism linkages between MP and UP, including the presence of two Jyotirlingas — Baba Mahakal (Ujjain) and Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi) — the proposed Ganga–Narmada Tourism Corridor is expected to connect key destinations such as Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar. The corridor will promote bilateral cooperation between the two states and provide a rich and varied tourism experience for visitors.
