Drake Throws DeMar DeRozan Jersey To The Ground During Concert

Yahoo18-02-2025
Drake is standing firm in his beef against DeMar DeRozan. During a recent show, the 38-year-old slammed a DeRozan jersey on the ground after it was seemingly tossed to him on stage.
While jumping up and down performing 'Rich Flex,' the rapper unfolded the jersey, clarified it was that of DeRozan, balled it back up in disgust, and threw it off the stage. Akademiks shared a clip of the moment on social media.
According to Complex, the video comes from Drake's first Sydney show as he kicked off his Anita Max Wynn Tour.
Drake's feud with DeMar DeRozan stems from his ongoing beef with rapper Kendrick Lamar. Although the Canadian musician and the NBA star were once close friends, DeRozan's support of K. Dot drew a line in the sand. After appearing on stage with Kendrick Lamar at his 2024 Juneteenth concert dancing to the Grammy Award-winning diss 'Not Like Us,' the Sacramento Kings forward also appeared in the acclaimed music video.
DeRozan is also referenced in the song with Kendrick Lamar rhyming, 'I'm glad DeRoz' came home, y'all didn't deserve him neither.'
'[I] Love Drake, always can play him. [But] Kendrick been a friend of mine—Damn near family, we both from the same city. Grew up damn near in the same neighborhood, but it's always been there, it hasn't been always publicized, but that's basically family,' shared the athlete in response to the moment.
The Compton NBA star continued to elaborate that standing by Kendrick was bigger than rap, referencing the unity in their shared hometown adding 'Everybody was coming together in a peaceful manner and that was the beauty out of those moments.'
Still, Drake took his allegiance personally, staring DeRozan down during a Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings matchup in November 2024. 'If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I'll go up there and pull it down myself,' the 'One Dance' singer declared.
Outside of the beef, Carmelo Anthony added his opinion on the entire ordeal saying, 'You gotta pull up on DeMar if you feel that way before you go on camera. Drake did a lot when he said I'ma go up there and take it down. That part is a lot.'

As Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour draws to a close, Blue Ivy emerges as a star

'Who they came to see?' Beyoncé asks as she performs her 2023 single 'My House' during the Cowboy Carter tour. For many, the answer has been Blue Ivy. Blue Ivy Carter, the Grammy-winning artist's 13-year-old daughter, is more present than ever on stage, and fans are impressed by the growth from her first performance years ago to now. Isabella Kerr, 15, has admired Beyoncé for years, but said she attended the Cowboy Carter tour specifically to experience Blue Ivy's moves in person. 'People are saying, 'Oh, she's a mini Beyoncé,' but no, I think she's the first Blue. Everything about her when she's on stage is electrifying,' said Kerr. The Cowboy Carter tour concludes Saturday in Las Vegas. The tour's 30 previously stops have fans buzzing that Blue Ivy is well on her way to being a next generation powerhouse. Blue first graced the stage at 11 years old during her mother's 2023 Renaissance tour, appearing during the legacy-celebrating anthems 'My Power' and 'Black Parade.' Supporters anticipated her performance at each stop. She performed again during 'Beyoncé Bowl,' the NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show that was just nominated for four Emmy Awards. She danced alongside the icon as she performed songs from the 'Cowboy Carter' album for the first time. 'Even the difference between the Renaissance Tour and now, you can tell she's really grown in her confidence,' said fan and artist Olivia Ellis. 'You can tell she has a different vibe about her.' On the Cowboy Carter tour, she can almost be mistaken for one of Beyoncé's professional dancers. She is on stage for nearly every song and has a solo recreating her mother's choreography from her 2006 'Déjà-vu' music video, a nod to the undeniable similarities between the two. Online videos of Blue display professionalism comparable to her mother's during the Cowboy Carter tour. During a rainy New Jersey stop, she brought out towels to dry her area of the stage before nailing her 'America Has a Problem' choreography. In another unexpected moment during a Chicago show, her earring got caught on Beyoncé's hair. Blue remained calm, removed the jewelry and motioned to the singer that it was safe in her hand as they both seamlessly continued. 'It's the family business,' said Kinitra D. Brooks, an academic and author of 'The Lemonade Reader,' a collection that explores the nuances of Beyoncé's 2016 visual album, 'Lemonade.' 'She is literally studying under the best person doing it out there today. Why wouldn't she take advantage of that opportunity?' In 'Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,' fans were given a behind-the-scenes look at the decision-making process the first time Blue was allowed to perform. Beyoncé expressed how nervous she was about her child being in front of thousands of people made her, revealing she initially said no. 'I did not think it was an appropriate place for an 11-year-old on a stadium stage,' she said in the documentary. 'I made a deal with her, and I said, 'If you practice and you show your commitment, I'll let you do one show.'' Blue Ivy fulfilled her end of the deal, and a fan base was formed: the 'Ivy League.' Kerr says Blue's accomplishments inspire her to work harder to achieve her own dreams. 'She worked to be on stage, and look at her now. If I work to what I want to be, I can be killing it like her.' At last month's Cowboy Carter Paris stop, members of the Beyhive and Ivy League finally got what they had been asking for — Blue Ivy merchandise. Shirts with the teen's face and the phrase 'Déjà Blue' plastered on the front were available for purchase. Prior to that, fans were creating their own custom pieces that highlighted Blue and Beyoncé's connection. At the MetLife Stadium show, Ellis wore a custom corset top she painted, showcasing Blue Ivy and her 8-year-old sister, Rumi Carter, on stage with Beyoncé during 'Protector,' a track from the 'Cowboy Carter' album that Rumi is featured on. 'I thought that would just be a really fun moment to highlight on a corset,' she said. 'It's just really cool to see her as a mom because we've all grown up with Beyoncé, and now it's like her show is kind of like a family affair.' Blue Ivy's confidence and professionalism are not only a testament to her hard work, but Beyoncé's motherhood. Mother-daughter duos around the globe filled stadium seats, excited to watch Beyoncé and her daughter display their strong bond for the world to see. In many cases, the mothers have been Beyoncé fans for years and are excited for their daughters to grow up with Blue Ivy, a high-flyer for their generation. Tanazha Baylis took her now 11-year-old daughter, Aria Brown, to the Renaissance tour, where she did not miss a beat dancing along to Blue Ivy's 'My Power' choreography. Brown was so determined to attend the Cowboy Carter Tour that she started selling popular toys, such as slime and Squishmallows, and saving her money. 'She literally was like, 'Mom, I don't know what you're going to do, but I have to go to this concert,'' said Baylis. 'I just had to make it happen after that.' Brown became a Beyoncé fan after participating in a dance recital with a theme centered around the superstar's career throughout the years. Baylis, who says she has always been a big fan, is happy to share these experiences with her daughter. 'It just showed her a cool mom and daughter, and it's just something that she can do as well. Beyoncé is a little older but, with seeing Blue there, it made it tangible for her.' Although there is no solid answer for what the future holds for Blue Ivy, it is widely recognized that the possibilities are limitless. 'We couldn't imagine that Beyoncé would do all of these things that she could do. All we saw were people trying to put limitations on her,' said Brooks. 'I think one of the things that Beyoncé wants us to do and what she wants for Blue is for us to not put those limitations on Blue.'

"Thought I Was Going To Finish My Career With Luka": Dorian Finney-Smith Opens Up On His Bond With Luka Doncic

"Thought I Was Going To Finish My Career With Luka": Dorian Finney-Smith Opens Up On His Bond With Luka Doncic originally appeared on Fadeaway World. When Luka Doncic was traded to the Lakers, it became increasingly evident to the world that the Lakers are planning to make him the face of their franchise for the coming decade. One of the key players on the Lakers who was delighted to hear this news was Doncic's former teammate Dorian Finney-Smith. He almost couldn't believe that Doncic was headed to the Lakers. In a recent interview with Wavy TV 10, Finney-Smith spoke about how he felt when he reunited with Luka Doncic in the Lakers and how Doncic reacted to his move to the Rockets. 'Oh, man. I was so happy, man. To be honest, I thought I was going to finish my career with Luka in LA, but like I said, things happened. We were excited, you know, happy to get him back. Also sad that everything that happened, you know, with the trade, you know, him being, you know, just the whole emotional thing, the bad talk about his weight, and just all that, cause I knew who he is as a person." "He, you know, he won't talk badly about anybody, and you know, he cares. Just like when I went to the Rockets, he shot me a text, 'I'm happy for you. I'm proud of you. I know you're excited to be back with your kids and family.' Things like that show me that he cared.' Doncic and Finney-Smith had been teammates ever since Doncic was drafted to the NBA in 2018. They both played on the Mavericks till 2023 before Finney-Smith was traded to the Nets for Kyrie Irving. They then reunited in LA while playing for the Lakers last season, and now have been separated again due to Finney-Smith's move to the Rockets. Experts were shocked to see the Lakers let Dorian Finney-Smith walk away as a free agent this summer, considering his fit on the roster with Luka Doncic. The Lakers indicated that they plan to rebuild around Doncic this summer, but they let go of a key asset who could've been crucial for the Lakers in the coming seasons. As a sharpshooting wing who is defensively skilled, Finney Smith perfectly fits the profile of the type of player the Lakers need at the moment to play alongside Luka. A career 36.2% shooter from beyond the arc, Finney-Smith makes 38.1% of his corner threes on average, which became a key asset for the Mavericks in the time this duo played together there. Doncic's ability to drive in and collapse the defense so he can kick out the ball to the corner for an open shot became the bread and butter of their offensive strategy. The Lakers have now replaced Dorian Finney-Smith with Jake LaRavia, who last played for the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies. Do you think the Lakers will be able to replicate the chemistry between Finney-Smith and Doncic with LaRavia? I highly doubt it. But let us know what you think in the comments story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Jul 21, 2025, where it first appeared.

Fans Erupt As Luka Doncic Shows Off Lean Physique While Nailing A Halfcourt Shot

Fans Erupt As Luka Doncic Shows Off Lean Physique While Nailing A Halfcourt Shot originally appeared on Fadeaway World. Los Angeles Lakers fans will be eager to see what Luka Doncic has in store this upcoming season. With an emphasis on getting into shape for the new season, Doncic recently showed off the fruits of his labor. In a recent video, the Lakers superstar can be seen looking significantly leaner. And to add emphasis, the 26-year-old drained a shot from halfcourt, causing fans on social media to go berserk. Doncic is widely considered one of the most gifted basketball players in the NBA. Now that he's in what looks like the best shape of his career, fans couldn't contain their excitement. With several fans sharing their reactions to the video on X, we take a look at some of their responses. "Tell me he isn't looking similar to his rookie build. He's lean as hell now!" commented one fan. "My MVP," added another. Another fan displayed some optimism and claimed, "No worries, those earlier years were just for fun. Now, he's about to enter his prime. S**t about to get ugly for the league." "Luka's MVP season is coming," said one fan, predicting big things from the Lakers' star. Another fan added to this with, "So I'm placing my bet right now for Luka Doncic MVP." "Holy fawk, we are so back. We are winning MVP this season," boldly stated another fan. "Luka Doncic is in the best shape of his life," claimed another. One fan noted the impact this weight loss could have on his game by saying, "Attack-the-rim Luka bout to make a return this season." A Mavericks fan also commented on this marked change and lamented, "Why couldn't he do this in Dallas?" "That's the next GOAT," claimed another fan, acknowledging his potential for greatness. The expectations of Doncic to dominate next season are immense, especially given the criticism he has faced for his defensive shortcomings in the playoffs. The scrutiny the superstar has faced since donning the Purple and Gold has acted as fuel. His response has been a deepened commitment to the team, reflected in his ongoing conditioning and offseason recruiting efforts. Having played a significant role in bringing Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart to the Lakers in free agency, it is abundantly clear that Doncic is invested in the team's future. When also considering that the Lakers are officially on the guard's timeline now, planning their roster construction with upcoming free agency classes in mind, the team and the player appear to be in close collaboration. Doncic is currently gearing up for his activities with the Slovenian national team at the EuroBasket tournament. However, the 26-year-old is expected to return to Los Angeles before joining the national team to sign his contract extension with the Lakers, further cementing his place as the face of the story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Jul 26, 2025, where it first appeared.
