Indian techie Soham Parekh has admitted to secretly working for four to five Silicon Valley startups at the same time, claiming that financial struggles pushed him into the controversial decision.Appearing on technology show TBPN in his first public interview since the revelations, Parekh said, 'It is true. I am not proud of what I have done. I do not endorse this either, but I had to do it due to financial circumstances.'He confessed to working up to 140 hours a week, describing the period as exhausting but necessary to overcome monetary hardships.Parekh's story went viral on Wednesday after entrepreneur Suhail Doshi warned startup founders on X (formerly Twitter) about him, alleging that Parekh was 'preying' on multiple Y Combinator-backed startups simultaneously. Following Doshi's post, several startup founders shared similar experiences of working with Parekh and later firing him for moonlighting . Some employers reportedly terminated him immediately after seeing the viral warnings. In a separate post on X, Parekh defended his passion for engineering: 'There's a lot being said about me right now, and most of you don't know the full story. If there's one thing to know about me, it's that I love to build. That's it. I've been isolated, written off, and shut out by nearly everyone I've known and every company I've worked at. But building is the only thing I've ever truly known, and it's what I'll keep doing.'Parekh said he has now joined "one company and one company only" as a founding engineer. "They were the only ones willing to bet on me at this time. The team is cracked, they back misfits, and they're building something absolutely insane in the video AI space," he said.

TRAI explores licensing framework for foreign M2M/IoT SIMs/eSIMs in India

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a consultation paper seeking stakeholder views on the use and sale of foreign telecom service providers' SIMs and eSIMs in India, specifically for integration into machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices that are meant for export. The consultation paper explores whether a new service authorisation should be introduced under the Department of Telecommunications' (DoT) policy framework to allow the sale of foreign SIMs/eSIMs in India. The paper also seeks to identify any regulatory issues that may arise—such as those involving the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Customs, or other authorities—with respect to the export of Indian telecom service providers' M2M SIMs/eSIMs, especially in scenarios involving import of such devices using Indian SIMs abroad. TRAI has invited inputs on various aspects of the proposed framework, including the terms and conditions for such a service, eligibility criteria, applicable fees, and the validity period for the use of these foreign SIMs/eSIMs in M2M and IoT applications. The response of TRAI came after certain Indian manufacturers who export IoT/M2M devices to international markets have requested that foreign SIMs be made available to them in India for integration into their products prior to export. This would enable the devices to operate on foreign networks immediately upon deployment abroad. In response, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has received multiple requests seeking provisions under its No Objection Certificate (NOC) policy to permit the sale of foreign operators' SIMs/eSIMs in India for such specific use cases.

PM Modi Argentina Visit Live Updates: PM Modi departs for Argentina after Trinidad and Tobago visit

01:00 (IST) Jul 05 On India-Argentina cooperation in various sectors, Ambassador of India to Argentina Ajaneesh Kumar says, "There is a wide segment of sectors in which the two countries are cooperating already and some of them we need to open the doors and windows for the future... We have a good cooperation going between the energy companies of India... We have a good representation of Indian two-wheelers in Argentina... Argentina is a major agricultural country, and we have tractors present here... There is another sector which needs to be looked at very carefully, and Argentina can make use of, and that is the Indian pharmaceutical and medical devices sector... India is called the pharmacy of the world, and the medical devices made in India are of top grade. They have found markets all over Europe, in the European Union as well as in the United States... I don't see any reason why they cannot come to the Argentine market and the people of this country benefit at a cheaper cost and good quality..."
