Pakistan Condemns Terror Attack on Passenger Bus in Balochistan's Kalat District
Nada Mustafa In a brutal act of terrorism, three passengers were killed and seven others injured when gunmen ambushed a passenger bus traveling from Karachi to Quetta in the Nemargh area of Balochistan's Kalat district. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, has sparked widespread condemnation from top political and security officials in Pakistan. According to provincial government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the attackers opened fire on the coach from both sides of the road. He confirmed that the injured victims were transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital in Kalat, where a state of emergency has been declared. A search operation is currently underway as security forces pursue the perpetrators. Speaking to Geo News, Rind stated that the attackers appeared to have set up an ambush and launched the assault once the vehicle was stopped. He noted that Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has taken immediate notice and ordered a detailed report from law enforcement agencies. State media also reported on the harrowing testimony of a passenger who survived the attack, stating that the gunmen fired indiscriminately at those onboard. Security officials linked the attack to frustration among terrorist groups—specifically the so-called 'Fitna-Al-Hindustan'—following successful military operations in the region. These groups have reportedly suffered financial losses due to anti-smuggling crackdowns and are now targeting civilians to destabilize the region and divert attention from military border operations. President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the incident in strong terms, calling it a 'barbaric act' and promised the best possible medical care for the injured. He emphasized that the state will continue to deal with terrorism with 'full force.' Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi echoed these sentiments, labeling the attackers as 'cowards' and accusing them of attempting to disrupt peace under foreign influence. 'These are Indian-sponsored terrorist elements seeking to create chaos by targeting soft civilian targets,' he said. Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti described the attack as 'despicable' and affirmed that such violence now targets all ordinary Pakistanis, not just specific communities. He vowed that the state will overcome these threats at any cost. Other political leaders, including National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, also strongly denounced the attack. They called for unity and decisive action to eliminate terrorism and safeguard national peace. Senator Sherry Rehman and MNA Shazia Marri of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) emphasized the need for a robust response to terrorism and condemned the foreign-backed elements behind such attacks. This assault follows a similar tragic incident just a week ago, when nine passengers were abducted and murdered in the Sur-Dakai area, located between Balochistan's Zhob and Loralai districts, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the province. Authorities continue to investigate the Kalat attack and search for those responsible as the nation mourns another loss at the hands of terrorism. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Gaza Humanitarian Foundation says 20 killed at aid point - War on Gaza
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said 20 people killed at an aid point in Khan Yunis, in the south of the Palestinian territory on Wednesday. "Our current understanding is that 19 of the victims were trampled and one was stabbed amid a chaotic and dangerous surge," the US- and Israel-backed organisation said in a statement. A medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis gave a lower toll, telling AFP it had received "nine martyrs, including several children" after "Israeli forces" opened fire. The deaths came as Gaza's civil defence agency said eight people were killed in Israeli strikes across the Palestinian territory on Wednesday, including six in Gaza City. The GHF claimed the stampede was "driven by agitators in the crowd", adding: "We have credible reason to believe that elements within the crowd -- armed and affiliated with Hamas -- deliberately fomented the unrest". The medical source at Nasser Hospital said the victims were "heading to the aid distribution centre in northwest Rafah to receive food aid" but the main gate to the centre had been closed. "The Israeli occupation forces and the centre's private security personnel opened fire on them, resulting in a large number of deaths and injuries," the source added. The GHF, an officially private effort, began operations on May 26 after Israel had halted supplies into the Gaza Strip for more than two months, sparking warnings of imminent famine. On Tuesday, the UN said it had recorded 875 people killed in Gaza while trying to get food, including 674 "in the vicinity of GHF sites", since late May. Last week, UN rights office spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani told reporters that "most of the injuries are gunshot injuries". The GHF has denied that fatal shootings have occurred in the immediate vicinity of its aid points and the Israeli army has accused Hamas of being responsible for firing at civilians. "For the first time since operations began, GHF personnel identified multiple firearms in the crowd, one of which was confiscated," the GHF said on Wednesday. "An American worker was also threatened with a firearm by a member of the crowd during the incident," it added, calling it part of a "deeply troubling pattern", including "false messages" about aid site openings. Israeli Media Reports Multiple Soldiers Killed in Gaza Amid Intensified Clashes
Ahmed Emam Israeli outlets report significant casualties among Israeli forces in several areas of Gaza, amid escalating fighting and complex ambushes by Palestinian militants. At least four Israeli soldiers have been confirmed killed following an ambush in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to Israeli media. The attack is reportedly part of a series of intense security incidents that erupted across multiple fronts in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. Israeli media reported fatalities and injuries among military forces during clashes in Khan Younis, Shejaiya, and Tuffah neighborhoods. Additionally, several soldiers were reported killed in a separate security incident in Jabalia, in northern Gaza. Although Israeli military censorship is limiting official details, unofficial Israeli sources confirmed that two major security incidents took place earlier in the day — one in the northeast of the Gaza Strip and another near Khan Younis in the south. According to these reports, at least three Israeli soldiers were initially confirmed killed and others critically injured in an anti-tank missile attack targeting a military vehicle. Five Israeli military helicopters reportedly evacuated the wounded to hospitals in Tel Aviv, indicating the severity of the injuries. Rescue operations in the area reportedly came under heavy fire, leading to prolonged clashes lasting several hours. In response to fears that soldiers might be captured, the Israeli military implemented the so-called 'Hannibal Protocol,' unleashing intense artillery and aerial bombardment to prevent possible kidnappings. While early reports suggested a soldier might have been abducted, subsequent Israeli sources clarified that the missing soldier was later found dead, ruling out any capture. The events coincided with heavy exchanges of fire between Palestinian factions and Israeli forces, particularly in Gaza's eastern areas, amid concerns of further ambushes or explosive devices. Israeli media described the attacks as among the most sophisticated since the resumption of hostilities, with Palestinian fighters reportedly employing well-coordinated ambush tactics that inflicted significant casualties on advancing and supporting Israeli forces. Although the Israeli military has not disclosed which specific unit was targeted in the attack, the army responded with widespread aerial and artillery bombardment in an effort to contain the fighting and prevent further losses or potential abductions. Preliminary estimates indicate that at least 10 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the beginning of July, compared to around 30 in June, reflecting a rising trend in the frequency and complexity of Palestinian military operations against Israeli forces. The situation remains fluid, with continued military operations and a heightened security presence throughout the Gaza Strip. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream
