Cowboy follows the story of Foster's Lee 'Babe' Midnight, described as a 'washed-up rodeo legend drifting between small-time shows and shady deals' who ends up becoming a mentor to Pankow's young aspiring rodeo rider Clif Casey. De Oliveira will play Alejandra, Lee's ex-girlfriend and mother to an 11-month-old son.
Other than De Oliveira, Cowboy also adds Simon Rex (Red Rocket), Carlos Pratts (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, McFarland, USA) and Cameron Sault in supporting roles, the latter of whom is making his acting debut. Rex will play Lee's former rodeo partner who's now wheel chair-bound following a riding accident, while Pratts will play another successful rodeo rider. Sault will play Steve, 'a rough and rowdy member of the road dogs group Vaqueros Galacticos' who Like Sault himself, is deaf. Sault was discovered through Deafinitely For All Entertainment, a Deaf founded production company focused on highlighting the deaf and hard of hearing community in the entertainment business.
Cowboy is the first picture coming out of Paint Horse Pictures, a new banner out of Range Media Partners' Nashville division. Duddy and Midland are management clients at Range's Music division, which also represents artists including Shaboozey, Jack Harlow and Noah Cyrus. When first announcing Cowboy last month, Paint Horse said it is looking to 'produce films deeply rooted in Americana and its pioneering spirit, bringing compelling narratives from the backroads to big screens.'
Prior to his feature-length debut, Duddy was also a respected music video director, directing the videos for hits like Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk,' Mars' '24K Magic, Fifth Harmony's 'Worth It' and John Mayer's 'Last Train Home,' among others. Cowboy's screenplay comes from Adair Cole, based on a story Duddy wrote with Midland guitarist Jess Carson.
'This is a personal story for me,' Duddy said in a statement when the film was announced in June. 'It's a film about what it takes to grind it out on the road chasing your dreams, and the emotional and physical toll it takes on all of us, most of all the people we love.'
Cowboy's producers include Endgame Entertainment's Lucas Smith, Range executives Matt Graham and William Lowery, Ian Bryce of Ian Bryce Productions and Sydney Allen of Paint Horse. Foster is also executive producing with David Keinath and Jordan Yospe for DFA entertainment. The other executive producers include Brightlight Productions' Shawn Williamson and Endgame's James D. Stern. Range Select is co-representing the film's global film rights alongside UTA's Independent Film Group.

New SouthPark restaurant offers interactive tableside dining and fresh pasta
Fontana Di Vino is a new Italian restaurant in SouthPark offering freshly made pastas and interactive family-style dining experiences. Why it matters: Chef Scott Leibfried brings a fun atmosphere and an engaging menu to Fontana Di Vino, following his time with Gordon Ramsay on "Hell's Kitchen" and his Hawaiian restaurant with Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood, which was destroyed in the 2023 fires, CBJ reported. Context: Much of Leibfried's extensive background in the restaurant industry influenced his vision for his south Charlotte restaurant. In May, he partnered with Charlotte-based Famous Toastery co-founder Robert Maynard to bring his latest concept to life. In addition to spending 10 seasons as a sous chef on Hell's Kitchen, Leibfried has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in London, and owned restaurants in Santa Barbara and Manhattan. What they're saying: Leibfried tells Axios that while working on his Maui restaurant with Fleetwood, they often hosted unexpected live performances— an experience that taught him the value of creating a space that's bold and full of surprises, something he plans to incorporate at Fontana Di Vino. "We have table-side services, which I've always loved my entire life, but you only see them in environments where, you know, there's white gloves and people are wearing tuxedos. Those are the types of things that I think everybody should have the opportunity to experience," Leibfried said. Dig in: Expect a menu that features traditional Italian cuisine with ingredients like black truffles sourced from Italy and fresh pasta, along with innovative touches such as pinsa — a Roman-style flatbread pizza. The restaurant offers multiple tableside activations — such as a polenta pour and veal chop — where the ingredients are prepped and plated in front of you to create an interactive and educational experience. Drinks include an extensive selection of Italian and California wines, plus classic cocktails with an innovative twist. Highlights include a sangria topped with sorbet and a lemon drop made with limoncello that tastes like key lime pie. The vibe: The 5,000-square-foot space has eclectic artwork and indoor bar, table, and patio seating for 160 people. Eventually, they hope to offer weekly live music. Stop by: Find Fontana Di Vino at 4905 Ashley Park Lane, the space formerly occupied by David Burke's Falcon & Fox, which closed after less than a year in business. Fontana Di Vino open Sunday through Thursday 4-9:30pm, Friday and Saturday 4-10:30pm. What's next: By the end of the summer, the restaurant will offer a private counter dining experience served family style. The hope is to also open their second restaurant in Davidson by September.

Watch the Stunning Official Trailer for 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'
The third installment of the Avatar series is on its way. Helmed once again by James Cameron, Avatar: Fire and Ash is slated to hit theaters at the end of the year. Here's everything we know about the film. Here's the official logline, per The Hollywood Reporter: Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña will return to Avatar: Fire and Ash as Jake and Neytiri, respectively. The rest of the cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Bailey Bass, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Brendan Cowell, Matt Gerald, Cliff Curtis, Jemaine Clement, David Thewlis, and Oona Chaplin. In a previous interview with ELLE in June, Saldaña elaborated on the film's plot. 'Fire and Ash is definitely a continuation, but a process for the Sullys, and it's just so beautiful,' she said. 'Out of the five-episode saga, it is the exact middle for them. I do believe that Fire and Ash is going to be the biggest turning point in this journey for these two individuals and this world.' She went on to confirm that Avatar: Fire and Ash is 'heart-wrenching.' 'In the making of the third one, we lost [Avatar producer] Jon Landau,' she shared. 'Experiencing loss, it's just hard. Now more than ever, Avatar [has become] a much more meaningful [series], a story for all of us. So, we're very proud of it... For me to be a part of an amazing family of people since my 20s, I think, Oh my God, I love them, and I'll do anything for them.' Saldaña also shared that the film hit a soft spot for her as a mother. 'I can't wait for Fire and Ash [and] to share it with the world, because it almost killed me,' she revealed. 'Shooting that scene at the end of The Way of Water was so difficult, but shooting Neytiri and Jake forcing themselves to get up and move on, and be there for their surviving children, was the hardest thing.' She continued, 'It teaches you a lot about what it must be like as a parent, as a guardian. How do you also stay together, and how do you let love win once again after experiencing that kind of loss? It's the most complex thing.' You can watch Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters on December 19, 2025. If you had the pleasure of watching 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water, you'll know that the runtime clocked in at just over three hours. So, will Avatar: Fire and Ash have a similar length? 'Movie three will actually be a little bit longer than movie two,' Cameron told Empire. On July 28, the official trailer was revealed. This story will be updated.
