Central Minnesota man dies after falling into tanker trailer

An Eden Valley, Minnesota, man died Tuesday morning when he fell into a tanker trailer while trying to clean it.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to 23588 County Road 34 in Eden Lake Township around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. They found a 25-year-old man who had fallen inside the 42-foot tanker trailer.
The man, Elder Josue Salgado Gonzalez, was unresponsive. There was 1.5 feet of water inside the tanker at the time, the sheriff's office said.
Gonzalez was cleaning the trailer with a hose before he was found, officials said.
He was taken to the hospital, and despite lifesaving measures, was pronounced dead.
Eden Valley is roughly 80 miles west of Minneapolis.

Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as a state police lieutenant, who they said died by suicide. Hunterdon County prosecutors said the shooting appeared to be a targeted act and there was no threat to the public. A spokesperson for Gov. Phil Murphy's office released the statement, "We are shocked and devastated by this horrific tragedy. Boy, 10, dies after being hit by vehicle in Montgomery, Illinois, police say

A 10-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a vehicle last Thursday in Montgomery, Illinois. Montgomery police said just before 8 p.m., officers responded to the area of Route 30 and Horseman Trail. They said the initial call came in as a cardiac arrest, but officers were alerted to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 30 when it hit the boy crossing the street northbound in the 1900 block of Baseline Road. He was taken to Rush Copley Hospital and then airlifted to Loyola in critical condition. He later died on Saturday. Police identified the victim as 10-year-old Vincente Poban. Fatal stabbing in East San Jose follows early-morning fight

A fight in a parking lot in San Jose early Monday morning led to a fatal stabbing, police said. The San Jose Police Department said in a press release that it received a call at about 2:33 a.m. of a fight in a parking lot on Story Road between Adrian Way and Jackson Avenue in East San Jose. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed at least once and was not conscious or breathing, police said. Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The unknown suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said. The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner withheld the victim's identity until family members were notified. The incident was being investigated as the city's 17th homicide of 2025.
