Extraordinary UK island home to dolphins, panoramic cliff views & salmon fishing is on sale for less than a two-bed flat

Estate agents say the island would be perfect for transforming into a glamping site, or using as a film set ISLE TAKE IT Extraordinary UK island home to dolphins, panoramic cliff views & salmon fishing is on sale for less than a two-bed flat Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A BREATHTAKING UK island home to seals and the rolling cliffs is on sale for less than the price of some two-bed flats. Accessible by boat or helicopter, the 90-acre uninhabited island is immersed in the wilderness, making it perfect for anyone keen to escape the hustle and bustle. The entire island is currently on the market for £500,000, which is less than the average price for a two-bed flat in central London. It offers panoramic views of the vast Atlantic Ocean, and is home to incredible marine wildlife, such as dolphins and seals. From dramatic cliffs to magnificent stargazing, the slice of wilderness has everything you need to relax and unwind in nature. Spend hours strolling along the untouched coastal paths, or, if you're feeling adventurous, grab a kayak and head out to sea, or grab a rod and fish for wild salmon. Insh Island is located close to Easdale, Scotland's smallest inhabited island, which is home to the World Stone Skimming Championships. From Easdale, you can easily take a 3-5 minute passenger ferry to Ellenabeich on Seil Island from where you can head north to Oban, the nearest large town. The island has no established buildings on it, but there is a "cave house" on the northwestern coastline. It's a completely blank canvas, perfect for transforming into a private family retreat, or a conservation project. According to estate agents Savills, there is plenty of opportunity for renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power. Little Diomede is a tiny remote island where US is just 2 MILES from Russia The agents add that there is great potential for a glamping site or organic farm on the island. Savills said: "Beyond its natural appeal, Insh Island represents a compelling investment. "As demand for exclusive, eco-conscious destinations continues to grow, this island is ideally suited for tourism, wellness retreats, or even use as a film location. "Land of this kind, wild, private, and unspoiled,—is increasingly rare and offers lasting legacy value." Property agent Cameron Ewer added: "One of Scotland's last, untouched private islands. "As someone who appreciates the value of natural beauty, this is just too good an opportunity for any like-minded investor to ignore." Shuna Island And Insh isn't the only Scottish Island that is currently on sale after Shuna Island went on the market for the first time in 80 years. Spanning across 1,110 acres, the island has been in the hands of the same family for the last eight decades. The island, which has eight residential properties on it, as well as a castle, is on the market for a whopping £5.5 million. It is located just off the coast from Appin, Argyll and Bute and features a working farm and a holiday home business. Shuna Castle, which was built in the early 20th century is in ruins, but offers panoramic views of the stunning Scottish coast. 5 H6P9P2 Insh Island Scotland September 2013 Credit: Alamy

Urgent warning issued to Aussie travellers about worrying new scam: What you need to know

Emirates has issued an urgent warning to travellers and suspended all social media advertising after a wave of fraudulent ads began duping customers into handing over personal details and buying fake tickets. The fake adverts appearing on Facebook and Instagram mimic Emirates' official branding, use unauthorised trademarks, and send unsuspecting users to lookalike websites. In an email to customers, Emirates said it made the drastic move to protect people from the growing scam. 'This is an important notice to alert you regarding these deceptive ads that direct users to purchase fake tickets, share personal information, or click on malicious links,' the email read. 'They often impersonate the official Emirates website using lookalike links, branded visuals, and unauthorised trademarks. 'To safeguard our customers and uphold brand integrity, Emirates has temporarily suspended all advertising on social media channels.' The airline said it was 'actively collaborating' with platform providers to rapidly identify and remove fraudulent ads – sometimes within minutes – and urged travellers to stay vigilant and check any suspicious content carefully. It's not the first malicious scam to target the airline this year. In February, Emirates advised customers to be vigilant following a sophisticated fake membership offer to enrol in a discounted subscription to fly first class. The phishing scam, posing as an ad, was offering a too-good-to-be-true deal of 10 first-class flights anywhere in the world for a $300 annual membership. It was circulated extensively across social media. The fake advertisements were designed to lure unsuspecting travellers into handing over their personal details, all under the false promise of luxury travel at bargain-basement prices.

‘New level of disrespect' cry NC500 locals as ‘feral' campers pitch tents on poignant memorial

The site has a very special meaning CAMPSITE FURY 'New level of disrespect' cry NC500 locals as 'feral' campers pitch tents on poignant memorial Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FURIOUS residents on the North Coast 500 have blasted campers who pitched their tents on a memorial site. A group of tourists visited the Marie Curie Field of Hope in North Sutherland, one of the most northernly spots on the 516-mile tourist route. It is a small field with 2,000 flowers in a overlooks Strathy Point and Dunnet Head and the Orkney islands. The field honours the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care and remembers people who have tragically lost their lives to the disease. The site has also been used for people to scatter their loved ones ashes. But a group of campers completely ignored the special nature of the site by using it to set up their tents. An image of the field was posted on a local Facebook page. It showed three tents pitched on top of the memorial flowers and a folding chair. Locals were quick to express their anger at the campers. One person said: "Lovely place to camp for the night in the Marie Curie Field of Hope outside Melvich. "Ignorant people and then they wonder why locals don't welcome them. Locals fury at NC500 pranksters "People have scattered loved ones ashes in there… just disgusting." Another added: "That's a whole new level of disrespect." A third local claimed they challenged the group, saying: "I'd have told them to move on - find somewhere else - huge disrespect." A fourth commented: "That's ridiculous, do they have any idea of the grief they will cause people who have had their parents looked after by the Marie Curie trust? There's no need to use the spot." A fifth resident branded their campsite "feral behaviour" while another said it was "appalling". Another person said: "That's well over the line of decency, what on earth goes through their heads? "Blatant disrespect and entitlement."
