Kelly Jones, the lead singer of Stereophonics, has revealed that he declined an invitation to see a tribute band fronted by a singer named "Belly Jones".
Despite considering it an "honour and privilege" when others cover their music, he wasn't keen on heading to a local working men's club in Wales to watch a Stereophonics tribute act over the Easter period. Speaking on The Dave Berry Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio on Tuesday, April 29, he shared: "I wake up on Sunday mornings, and people send me clips of people at weddings and bars and pubs singing my stuff a lot."
He further explained that during his recent visit home for Easter, his cousin invited him to the club to watch the tribute band perform. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter .
However, despite his partner's enthusiasm to go and enjoy the night with their children, Kelly decided against it. He added: "My cousin said, 'Do you want to come up to the working man's club? I said, 'Why? What's happening? And she said, 'There's a Stereophonics tribute band playing."
He continued: "I think the singer, he's a big guy, he's called Belly Jones. So I said, 'No'. My missus was like, 'No, let's go.' Take the kids, have a good night."
The Maybe Tomorrow singer used to play in cover bands before finding fame with Stereophonics.

In the interview, he added: "Jokes aside, it's always like an honour and privilege to see anybody taking any music and doing something with it.
"I mean, if it means something to people, they want to cover it.
"We started playing covers in bands from teenagers, you know what I mean?"

Olly Murs ditches radio show after boozy night out as co-host Mark Wright speaks out
Singer Olly Murs failed to show up to present his radio show alongside Mark Wright after he partied hard the night before to celebrate the release of his new single It has been three years since he released new music. So it's perhaps understandable that Olly Murs was desperate to celebrate the upcoming release of his new single. But it looks as though Olly, 41, may have taken his celebration a little too far as he failed to show up to present his radio show the following morning. Olly co-hosts the Heart Radio breakfast show alongside former TOWIE star Mark Wright. Olly's new song Save Me comes after the announcement that he was to become a father for the second time with wife Amelia. Sat by himself in the radio studio, Mark told listeners: "So if you've been listening to Heart this morning, you'll know that my co-host Mr Olly Murs isn't in." And to make matters worse an Instagram clip was shared of Olly partying in a bar. Mark added: "No one can find him. Didn't know where he was. And someone has just sent this into the studio. Him out last night, caught on CCTV in a bar or a pub." He continued: "So he's obviously out, had a late night and not turned up to the studio. Very professional Olly Murs, I like it. Yeah, very good." Suffering from a heavy hangover, Olly then took to social media to recount the night before. He wrote on his Instagram story: "Last night was mad! Might've gone a bit too hard while celebrating the new single coming out with the boys…" He added: "Also seem to have lost my wallet if anyone finds it." He then shared Mark's Heart Radio clip. And captioned it saying: "Can't believe I missed the show today. Man does my head hurt!" Earlier this year, Olly underwent an impressive body transformation. Following a gruelling gym regime Olly shared images of himself with a ripped six-pack torso. And he recently posted a video on his Instagram account which showed him doing pull-ups, boxing, cycling and weight-lifting. Olly became a father last April as he welcomed his daughter Madison. At the time, Olly was left devastated as just days after the birth of his first child, as it coincided with his tour dates with Take That. At the time he confessed on his breakfast radio show: "It was really hard for me as I had to leave two days after the baby was born to go on tour with Take That." He added: "I didn't really process it at the time and a few months later me and Amelia were chatting and I just broke down in tears as I never got a chance to actually get to know this little baby." And now a year on, Olly is set to become a father for the second time. Sharing his happy news on social media, he shared a black and white image of the family on an Easter walk together. He captioned the post saying: "We're so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way."

Tiny sum Hatton Garden heist crooks have paid back from their £14MILLION ill-gotten gains in past 3 years revealed
PRICE OF THE HEIST Tiny sum Hatton Garden heist crooks have paid back from their £14MILLION ill-gotten gains in past 3 years revealed Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FIVE villains from the 'Diamond Wheezers' Hatton Garden heist gang have paid back just £8k each of their £14 million ill-gotten gains over the last three years. Six robbers were filmed removing wheelie bins full of gold and jewels over the 2015 Easter weekend in what became one of the biggest raids of the 21st century. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 7 Crooks from left: Daniel Jones, Terry Perkins and Brian Reader Credit: PA:Press Association Now new Freedom of Information figures released to The Sun on Sunday show five of the robbers - two of whom have since died - have made repayments of just £8,000 each. That's the equivalent of a paltry £40,000 in total over the last three years with the CPS confirming 'hidden assets' remain outstanding in the case with the court deeming the defendants know where they are. Previously, lookout John 'Kenny Collins, 84, returned £1,347,436.43 (or £1.35million) of the £7.6 million he trousered from the raid. But since 2022 progress has been slow with only £8,000 extra being handed over. After being freed in late 2018 having served less than half of a seven-year sentence he was sent back to jail in 2019 for a further seven years for refusing to hand back his share of the heist. While alarm expert Michael Seed, 65, has coughed up just £55,222 from a whopping £5.6 million he pocketed from the robbery. Again, an increase of just £8k since 2022. He was originally jailed for ten years in March 2019 but was handed a further six-and-a-half year jail term in 2023 for failing to pay back his loot. Ringleader Danny Jones, 70, played by Ray Winstone and Phil Daniels in two films, has paid back just £646,788.61 of the near £6.2 million he owes. He has also returned an additional £8,000 over the last three years – but nothing more. Hatton Garden raider blames 'mastermind' for the gang getting caught and claims he 'abandoned them' when heist didn't go to plan Originally sentenced to seven years he was given an extra six years and 287 days for failing to pay back the millions he made from the raid but was released in February 2022. Fellow raiders, Brian Reader and Terry Perkins, who have both since died, also made derisory £8k payments each over the last three years. Mastermind Reader, played by Michael Caine in one of several movies about the burglary, succumbed to cancer in 2023, aged 83. He had paid back £513,766.99 of a £6.1 million proceeds of crime demand. Perkins died of heart failure in his jail cell at Belmarsh in February 2018. He paid back just £387, 772.31 of his almost £6.5 million criminal benefit from the raid. A Crown Prosecution Service spokeswoman, said: 'No convicted criminal should profit from their crimes and the Hatton Garden burglars have paid back more than £3 million of what they stole. 'We have taken four of the burglars back to court after they failed to pay their full orders, resulting in three of them receiving significant additional jail time. 'While all UK assets have now been realised, we continue our work with partner agencies to trace the proceeds of this crime and go after any remaining hidden assets.' 7 Hatton Garden heist gang lookout John 'Kenny' Collins Credit: PA:Press Association 7 The robbery at Hatton Garden Safety Deposit vault Credit: Ray Collins - The Sun 7 Inside the vault in Hatton Garden Credit: Dan Jones - The Sun 7 The huge hole drilled by the gang to ransack the safe deposit Credit: EPA 7 The vault door at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Credit: PA:Press Association

Sister-in-law sparks fury by wearing 'inappropriate' dress to wedding
A bride was left heartbroken after she spotted what dress her sister-in-law was wearing on her wedding day. People have taken to social media to slam the women over the 'inappropriate' dress Most brides spend hours ironing out every detail to make sure their wedding day goes off without a hitch. But no matter how much they planning they put into their wedding, they can never guarantee everything will go exactly right on their big day. That's exactly what one bride came to learn when she clocked eyes with her new sister-in-law and the 'inappropriate' dress she was wearing as she walked down the aisle. On Reddit, she said: "The dress code was summer pastel chic, so think Easter colours. The girlfriend of the groom's brother wore a sage green wedding dress that in no way, shape or form appeared to be sage green or any other colour." She also shared photos of the dress – a strapless number, which had flowers stitched on and appeared to be an off-white shade. Not only this but it turns out her new mother-in-law already asked the bride whether she could wear a white jumpsuit to the wedding – a request the bride politely refused. The situation sparked outrage on social media as users shared a thought for the bride and the extra stress her new family caused her on what was meant to be the best day of her life. Commenting on the post, one user said: "I'm not even a stickler for wedding etiquette, but this is crazy. Does anyone say anything to people like this? "Because I would. I would make it a thing. Probably for years. I have no problem burning bridges. Not because you broke the dress code, but because she is clearly a horrible person." Another user added: "Tell me you're jealous without telling me you're jealous. I would have the photographer photoshop the dress a different colour but not say anything. "Hang a big photo up with and the family and her new dress. Wait for her to say something. She may not." While a third person said: "Ok that's fully a wedding gown ma'am. Couldn't even let her have one day huh?" Spmeone else added: "Wow, that's very bridal," as another chimed in: "The only sage green I see are her shoes." A final user wrote: "The last wedding I went to was my wife's childhood best friend. That I only met once. (But know what she looks like.) "And I saw someone else at the reception who wore a white dress and went over to them. Told them congrats on getting married and that I'm sure everyone was so excited for her. "And she is like 'I'm not the bride…' and I was just like 'Oh why are you wearing white?! Isn't that a d**k move?!' She got super upset. My wife's friend said I'm one of her favourite people now."
