Priyanka Chopra Jonas Has This 'Mandatory' Weekly Tradition with Husband Nick Jonas and Daughter Malti (Exclusive)

Priyanka Chopra Jonas speaks exclusively to PEOPLE in this week's issue Her favorite weekly tradition, she says, is lazy Sunday morning cuddles with husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie 'The biggest luxury in our lives is being able to waste time together,' says the Heads of State starWhen Priyanka Chopra Jonas is speaking to PEOPLE about her new movie Heads of State, it happens to be early on a day she maintains a sacred weekly tradition. 'Sunday morning snuggles in bed,' the actress-activist, 42, tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. 'They have to happen. It's mandatory.' Luckily, despite working on a Sunday, Chopra Jonas 'did get snuggles,' she says, with her husband Nick Jonas and their 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie. 'Seven a.m., but we got 'em in.' When she's asked what brings her peace the most, Chopra Jonas doesn't hesitate: 'Being home with my family. … The biggest luxury in our lives is being able to waste time together or spend time together and just be languid in it and not worry about having to go somewhere.' Wasting time, she adds, is considered one of her guilty pleasures. 'That one hour you might get when it's quiet in the house and you get to watch Love Island's new season with a glass of wine or maybe even a book [when] I am supposed to be reading my scripts.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. What other traditions does the Jonas household enjoy? When she and her husband and any guests are finishing a late-night movie, she says, 'I do scavenge the fridge at night. I am that person … a big snacker.' She continues, 'I want to make sure I get the snack scavenging in while everyone's distracted with the movie because you can't do it after. If you do it after, there's too much attention on you: 'What are you eating?' And then everybody wants to eat and it becomes a meal and then I'm heating up food. You've got to sneak out during a really important part of the movie. So that's what I do.' In Heads of State, Chopra Jonas plays a kick-ass MI6 agent opposite John Cena as the U.S. president and Idris Elba as the U.K. prime minister. The Ilya Naishuller–directed action-comedy, costarring Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root and Carla Gugino, is now streaming on Prime Video. Read the original article on People

Joely Richardson, Alyssa Milano mourn death of Julian McMahon

July 5 (UPI) -- Julian McMahon's former co-stars Joely Richardson and Alyssa Milano were among the celebrities mourning his recent death at the age of 56. "Woke up to the shocking news of Julian McMahon's passing at 56," Richardson said in an Instagram post Saturday. "I can't believe it. We worked together for many years, covering every possible storyline and then some. Julian could be hysterically funny, was hugely charismatic (drama swirled in his wake), and most of the female population fell for him as 'Christian Troy,'" she said, referring to McMahon's Nip/Tuck character. "I remember our 1st script reading, we knew we were onto something but no clue what a ride we were about to have- Julian suggested we do a meditation to quell nerves ( we didn't do it). I remember presenting with you at the Emmys when our autocue cut out and we somehow improvised our way through it on live tv. I remember the year we both got Golden Globe nominations and our show won best tv series- your mom, sat beside you , beamed with pride. I remember the episode when we all had to age up with prosthetics- how we laughed then, and how it's making me cry today. My enormous condolences to your family and children. You lived a large life my friend." "I'm heartbroken. Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it up -- not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding," Milano wrote on Instagram. "We spent years together on Charmed-years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend."
