The individual is accused of distributing thousands of films, TV series and music on a file sharing torrent site without permission.
Two recent Hollywood films that were leaked before their official release dates were a part of the content haul, officials said.
His home was raided on April 29, where police seized two laptops and several hard drives for further examination, as well as a large quantity of discs.
The man has since been released under investigation.

"This operation serves as a warning to anyone thinking of uploading copyrighted material to pirate sites," said Detective Constable Jason Theobald, from the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) at City of London Police.
"This is a crime that diverts funds away from the creative industries, money that not only supports artists, but thousands of technical and support staff working in this sector."
The move follows a number of arrests to stamp out piracy in recent months.

RISKS FROM ILLEGAL STREAMING AND DOWNLOADS
People streaming content illegally are at risk of fraud and other dangers when using dodgy TV devices.
But that's not the only possible consequence.
They can slow down your broadband connection and affect other gadgets around your home too.
"Illegal streaming isn't just unsafe, it's actively harmful," said Liz Bales, CEO of the British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE), and The Industry Trust for IP.
"Devices used for piracy are often infected with hidden malware, leading to crashing apps, severely disrupted performance, and compromised home networks.
"This puts personal data and entire households at risk."

Russia says minister found dead hours after being fired by Putin died by suicide
RUSSIA'S FORMER TRANSPORT minister Roman Starovoyt killed himself today just hours after being officially dismissed by President Vladimir Putin, the country's Investigative Committee has said. Authorities said Starovoyt's body was found in a Moscow suburb after the firing was announced with 'suicide' being considered as the most likely cause of death. Starovoyt, who was 53, served as Russia's transport minister since May 2024 last year. He was previously the governor of the Kursk region, where Russia had battled a Ukrainian incursion. 'Today, the body of former Transport Minister Roman Starovoyt was found in his private car with a gunshot wound in the Odintsovo district,' the Investigative Committee said in a statement. 'The main version (considered) is suicide,' it added. Russian state media and news agencies said Starovoyt shot himself. It was not clear exactly when Starovoyt died. Netflix quietly rolls out free upgrade for millions of users – and it cuts down on dreaded buffering
NETFLIX has quietly made some big improvements to the platform that will boost the picture quality - and reduce annoying buffering in the process. Errors and re-buffering are sadly commonplace when trying to watch movies and TV via any streaming app. 1 The upgrade was quietly implemented in March Credit: Alamy But Netflix says it has worked out a way to reduce re-buffering by 10 per cent. And even if you are unlucky enough to be hit by re-buffering it should drag on a little less, with a 5 per cent cut to the duration. The firm has also managed to make start play faster, as well as decrease playback errors by 3 per cent. It's all thanks to some visual improvements going on behind the scenes at Netflix. "Camera sensor noise introduces its own characteristics, while filmmakers often add intentional grain during post-production to evoke mood or a vintage feel," Netflix explained in a blog post. However, this can be tricky to maintain when compressing big videos down so they stream faster. Most boxes offer a range of presets that typically include cinema, gaming, sports, dynamic, standard and more. It's typically recommended that you stick to the picture mode labelled Movie (Samsung), Cinema (LG and Sony), or Calibrated (Vizio). These modes come the closest to official HD and UHD standards, meaning they present shows and movies as the creators intended. Have a play around with your TV's picture mode and pick the one that's best for you. You may find that, if your device is in a bright room, you're better off picking a setting such as Dynamic or Vivid, which are best for naturally lit spaces because they exaggerate contrast.
