More than 100 people arrested across UK at Palestine Action protests
The group was banned as a terrorist organisation in June.
In Liverpool city centre, four people were arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences on Sunday afternoon, Merseyside Police said.
Material in support of the proscribed group was reportedly seen in the possession of a small number of protesters taking part in the regular march for Liverpool Friends of Palestine.
Four people from Merseyside – a 74-year-old woman from Kensington, a 65-year-old man from Brighton-le-Sands, a 28-year-old man from Garston and a 72-year-old man from Mossley Hill – were arrested on suspicion of wearing or carrying an article supporting a proscribed organisation, the force said.
All had been taken to police stations for questioning.
Protests were held in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Truro on Saturday as part of a campaign co-ordinated by Defend Our Juries.
The Metropolitan Police said 55 people were arrested in Parliament Square under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for displaying placards in support of Palestine Action.
Greater Manchester Police said it had arrested 16 people on Saturday on suspicion of support of a proscribed organisation, adding that they remained in custody for questioning.
Eight people were arrested near Truro Cathedral in Cornwall after protesters gathered to show support for Palestine Action.
Avon and Somerset Police said 17 people were arrested during a protest in Bristol.
Palestine Action was banned after two Voyager aircraft were damaged at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on 20 June, an incident claimed by the direct action group, which police said caused about £7 million worth of damage.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced plans to proscribe Palestine Action three days later, saying that the vandalism of the planes was 'disgraceful' and that the group had a 'long history of unacceptable criminal damage'.
The ban means that membership of, or support for, Palestine Action is now a criminal offence punishable by up to 14 years in prison, under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Firm fined £1m after worker killed in Manchester by reversing HGV
A wholesale grocery supplier has been fined £1m after one of its workers was killed by a reversing Northern Limited employee Lee Warburton was making a delivery with a colleague to a store in Manchester when he was fatally crushed in February Health & Safety Executive (HSE) said the 53-year-old father-of-three from Stockport became trapped between the lorry and a wall while acting as a banksman, directing the HGV into an unloading London-based company admitted failing to implement a safe system of work for vehicle movements and adequately assess the risks for employees acting as banksmen. Mr Warburton's partner, Hayley Tomlinson, described the day he died as the worst of her life. "To be taken in such a cruel manner made it even harder," she said. "Knowing the pain and fear Lee must have gone through was unbearable. "But nothing compares to the moment I had to tell our children their Daddy was never coming home."She added: "It broke my children's spirits - they lost the sparkle in their eyes. Lee was their hero."My children will miss out on all the milestones Lee should have been here for – walking them down the aisle, meeting their first child. "They miss the cuddles, the love he showed them, the days out. This has changed our lives forever." The HSE investigation found Bestway Northern Limited, of Abbey Road in Park Royal, had failed to implement a safe system of work for vehicle company also failed to adequately assess the risks involved in the task or provide sufficient training for employees acting as pleaded guilty to breaching regulation 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. The actress met Tony when she was 16, they got together a year later and within 12 months they were engaged (pictured in 2005) Reflecting on her traumatic past Jennifer told The Mirror: 'It was a volatile relationship and he was connected with this other world, this gangland world. 'For years and years I thought that life was normal and bad things like that happened to everyone because it happened in the world I was in. I was having nails in my letter box, going into hiding and fearing for your life walking down the street. That's not normal. 'I look back and think how it was so traumatic. It was so horrific what I was going through. I was such a young girl, I was a baby. 'I feel like opening up in the mirror room about that has put that part of my life to bed. It was like the best therapy session ever.' She described the experience as 'crazy' and it 'takes over your whole body.' She admitted she was left 'in awe' as she battled through the emotions and changed for the better while crediting the show for building her back up again. The relationship ended when Jennifer discovered Tony was cheating on her with John Terry's ex-girlfriend Shalimar Wimble, which she describes as her 'get out of jail free card'. Jennifer believes she has been left with PTSD after the traumatic seven years she spent with Tony, but is grateful for her life now.
